  • 70 mins transit time in FRA. Is that enough?

I'm flying from BLR to FRA via Lufthansa arriving at 8:50 am. I have a connecting flight to Dallas at 10 am via Lufthansa. This gives me a transit time of 70 mins only. Will there be good enough time for my connecting flight to Dallas, USA? Thanks

Yes, that is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • United Airline but different carriers change over on Frankfurt

I am travelling from London on a United ticket on flight UA 9232 but by Lufthansa carrier to Frankfurt on 12 May 17. I have to catch the connecting United Airlines flight to Chicago UA 906 the dame day. The difference between these two flights arrival and departure is one hour and 30 minutes. Can someone clarify whether is it possible for me to check in my baggage at London itself and collect it at Chicago ? And is the time of just one and half hour enough to change gates at Frankfurt ? In essence; whether United Airlines operating through another airline -Lufthansa in this case would provide me the facility of a through check in at London and I would not be burdened to collect and re-check in my bags at Frankfurt.

Yes, you do not have to do anything with your bags in Frankfurt. All you have to do in Frankfurt is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.

Do I need to collect my check in luggage at FRA? Thanks.

No, you don't need to do anything with your bags in Frankfurt if both flights are on the same reservation. Just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I'm flying to LAX from heathrow with a connecting flight in Frankfurt, will 1 hour layover be enough time to get my connecting flight?

If both flights are on Lufthansa, yes, that should be enough time.

I am flying from South Africa to Croatia via FRA, all on Lufthansa. I have a Croatian visa, but will I need to go through security checks during transit and therefore require a Schengen visa?

Security checks alone do not require a transit visa. Only border control does, unless you are a citizen of the few dozen countries that require an airport transit visa.

I am flying from Philadelphia on American Airlines into Frankfurt. The flight lands at 8:30 am. I am departing FRA to Hanover on Lufthansa at 9:50 am. Is this enough time between flights? Will I have to claim my luggage and then re-check in with Lufthansa? The flights are on separate tickets.

That is not realistically enough time. Yes, you will have to claim your bags and then transfer them between terminals yourself.

Traveling Atl to FRA on Delta. Traveling FRA to Split on Croatia Airlines. Layover is 2.5hrs. What is the transfer procedure in FRA? What is the minimum time I need for the transfer?

You will have to go through Schengen Entry passport control, claim your bags, Take the skyline or shuttle to Terminal 1, re-check your bags with Croatian, and go through security and Schengen Exit passport control.

  • From Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 plus luggage check in

Hello. I already have boarding passes from Helsinki to Fra (Terminal 2) with Finnair. Do I have to collect my luggage and go to Terminal 1 for Frankfurt- Montego Bay. I have to check in my luggage. I have about 2 hours for this. is it enough time for this? When I have my luggage in Terminal 2- what is the best way to go to Terminal 1?

I think with checked luggage you can still take the Skyline to Terminal 1. 2 Hours is pretty difficult.

Thanks! But i need to check my luggage in at terminal 1. So can i still take a skytrain or you meant security check?

Yes, there is a skyline car that runs outside security.

  • Transfer UA from EWR to LH to ABZ

Coming into FRA on a UA flight from EWR transfer to LH flight to Aberdeen. The reverse on the return. Am I correct that 2 hours will be plenty of time?

yes, that should be plenty of time.

And since US to UK with transfer in FRA, US passport,II will just have passport control in both directions?

Actually you won't have passport control, since you aren't entering the Schengen Area. Just walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Aberdeen flight will probably be a bus gate.
