Hello we are flying from Birmingham to Singapore with a 90min connection.... (All flights with LH) is this sufficient ? Also, do we need to pass through immigration ? Many thanks.

Should be enough time. Since you are not entering the Schengen Area you will not have to go through passport control/immigration.

Flying from ATL -> FRA on Delta (Air France) -> SPU (Croatia Air). Will we have to go through passport control and security in FRA?

Were your tickets purchased together or separately? Do you have checked bags?

They were purchased together. We are not planning to check bags unless they truely enforce the carry-on baggage weight rules.

Then you should be able to take the SkyLine to your departure area and get your boarding passes from the Croatian Air transfer desk.

I fly from AMS to LHR via FRA. I have only 45min to make my connection. Is this possible?

It's hard. What airline are you on?

    Both flights are with Lufthansa

Yep, difficult, but not impossible. You will have to go through Schengen Exit passport control but that's a quick process.

Flying from SFO to FRA with connecting flight to Prague--all on Lufthansa--it shows same terminal-can we walk it or need sky train?

It depends on your gates. Just take the recommended route, probably walking.

We are booked on Luftansa from St. Petersburg Russia to Frankfurt with transfer to Luftansa from Frankfurt to Chicago, USA. We only have 1 hour for the connection and are not familiar with the airport. Do we need to take a tram/bus to our connecting gate? Also do we need to go through full passport control?

Both flights will be in the same terminal, but your flight from St. Petersburg may use a bus gate. You will not have to go through passport control as you will not be entering the Schengen Area.

I am flying into FRA from Madrid and transferring to a flight to Boston, USA. Do I need to go through both security and passport check or just the passport check? And will 1.5 hrs be enough time to make the connection comfortably? I have never been to FRA before so the size of the airport seems very daunting...

YOu will only have to go through Schengen exit passport control. You should have enough time.

We will be traveling on Luftfansa from Rome with a connecting flight in Frankfurt than on to Detroit. Is one hour twenty minutes enough time? Will we go though passport control? Is passport control very far?

That should be enough time. You will just go through Schengen exit passport control which is a very quick process.

  • 1HR Layover to get to Budapest from USA

Hello! My travel agency booked a flight with only an hour layover to connect from Frankfurt to Budapest. Lufthansa has already warned me it's not doable, but I'm not sure I have any options left. Will I have to leave the terminal to do security? Both of my flights are on Lufthansa. Is there any hope?

It is doable, it's just very difficult. No you do not have to leave the terminal or go through security. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, going through schengen passport control on the way.

i will be travellng from CDG to FRA with a return to the US. Is one hour connection enough or do I need 2 hours? I will be in Terminal A , transferring from Lufthansa yo United HELP UAL could not answer. I wil lbe ni TerminaL 1 transferring from Lufthansa from CDG to FRA and then on to Housto on United. I am concerned because I go from domestic to international.

This should be enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate and go through schengen exit passport control.

  • USA -> Frankfurt -> Dubrovnik, Croatia

Hi, We will be flying United Airlines from Denver, CO to Dubrovnik. The flight into Frankfurt is operated by Lufthansa. The flight into Dubrovnik is operated by Croatia Airlines. We have a 75 minute layover. Is this considered non-Schengen to non-Schengen and we don't need to go through passport control? Will we need to go through security? Most importantly, is 75 minutes most likely enough time? Thank you, kindly! Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Correct, you shouldn't have to go through passport control or security, just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have enough time if your flight from Denver is on-time.

Hi! So there will be 3 of us US Citzens flying into Frankfurt via Condor at 10:30am, and we bought a separate flight (not connecting) into Split via SAS departing at 12:20pm. Is this 2 hours enough time to go through customs, get our bags, and get to the next gate? Thanks!

    That will be difficult.

I'm looking at purchasing a ticket on Lufthansa flying from Madrid to Houston. There is a 55 minute connection in FRA and I was wondering if that is enough time, assuming the flight leaves on time.

That's barely enough time. You will have to go through Schengen Exit passport control on your way through FRA.

  • Dublin to Singapore with only 1hr10mins connection time in Frankfurt

hello , we are on a flight from Dublin to Singapore with a connection time of only 1hr10mins in Frankfurt . We fly Lufthansa from Dublin to Frankfurt then continue on with Singapore airlines . Tickets are purchased together so baggage wont be a problem as it will go on through . We're very worried though as we dont know Frankfurt airport & procedures at all ....will 1hr10mins be enough time to make the joining flight ? Thankyou

Yes, that should be enough time. You should just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Thankyou .... Do you know if arrival & departure gates are both on the same level , or fairly close & do we have to go through passport control etc .

You will not have to go through Passport control since you are not entering the Schengen Area. "levels" at the Frankfurt Airport are somewhat of an abstract concept. It is a very labyrinthine terminal. Just follow the signs to your departure gate and you should be OK.

Planning to arrive FRA on UA business class scheduled at 1150, depart for CMN on separate ticket on Royal Air Maroc business class ticket at 1625. Can I make connection and what is process?

Yes, that should be plenty of time. You will arrive, go through Schengen passport control and claim your bags, then take the SkyLine or shuttle bus to Terminal 2 and re-check your bags with RAM and get your boarding pass, go through Schengen exit passport control, and security and to your departure gate.
