Flight connection with Condor AirlinesFeb 20, 201310I bought a flight from Milan to Anchorage that includes a transfer in Frankfurt (1 h. 40 m. stopover) I don't have to collect my luggage, but I heard from other travellers I won't get in Milan my boarding pass for the second leg of my flight (Frankfurt-Anchorage). Could someone let me know what I have to go or to do in Frankfurt airport? Have I to exit from the security aerea? Is the time connection enough? Thank you in advance for your help! Patriziapatripoliposted on Wed, Feb 20[ Reply ][ Like ]If you bought one ticket for both legs of your journey, you should not need another boarding pass at Frankfurt. You simply transfer to your connecting Concourse /gate. Condor uses Concourse C. As I don't know which airline you arrive at, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/fra and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the detailed text, including transfers.wefeb13posted on Wed, Feb 20

Transfer timeFeb 25, 201320We arrive at FRA on an Air Canada flight from Toronto at 7:00 am and leave on a Lufthansa City Line flight for Florence at 7:55 am. Can anyone tell me where we arrive vs. where we leave and the best way to make this connection?ALDposted on Wed, Feb 20At FRA both airlines use Terminal 1; AC uses Concourse B, LH uses Concourse A. Level 3 of T1 is the Pier /Concourse level with Piers/ Concourses A, B & Z, connected via transfer tunnel. The SkyLine train also runs between Concourses A & B in the secured area. You have enough time.wefeb13posted on Wed, Feb 20

Skyline or transfer tunnel?Feb 7, 201311We have a leisurely (2:45) upcoming connection at FRA. Arriving from US on Pier A (Z" level), transferring to a Schengen flight in Pier B. After we clear passport control, I suspect we'll want to stay in "A" as long as possible to take advantage of newer shops and services. What is the most efficient transfer to B concourse? Train or tunnel? I want to avoid waiting in a second security line, if possible. How long should we allow to transfer between Piers?BillMposted on Wed, Feb 61 person likes this post [ Like ]

Connecting Flights and LuggageJan 18, 201310hi i'm arriving in FRA from South Africa on flight LH0573 at 05:35, 13 June 2013 and have to catch a connecting flight to Dublin flight LH0978 at 10:00 on the same day, will i have to still pick claim my luggage at claims or will the airline transfer it, and will i still use the train to go to my designated gate for the flight? please help with information as i am a first time international flyer, thank you!!LOposted on Thu, Jan 17At Frankfurt Airport, Lufthansa uses both Piers A & B of Terminal 1. On arrival, you need to go through non-Schengen passport check. I doubt that you need to pick up your bags for security check; your bags will be automatically transferred to your next Lufthansa flight. Note: Pier A gates are now divided into left-side gates A1-42 and right-side gates A50-69; (note: A gates are on lower level; Z gates are on upper level. Pier B, gates B1-B63: a transfer tunnel near B19 connects to A & Z gates;frjan13posted on Fri, Jan 18

help to istanbulJan 8, 201310Arriving on UA119 2/13/2013 at 9:00 AM Need to transfer to LH1298 to Istanbul at 12:55PM. Do we have to get luggage or will luggage be transfered to Lufthansa Airlines. Do we have to go to customs?lamb0212posted on Mon, Jan 7At FRA, Lufthansa (using A & B gates of Terminal 1) & United (using B gates of T1) belong to the Star Alliance - your bags will be transferred to your connecting flight. NOTE: U.S. Arrivals are being processed at Area A where they go through passport control only; (US departures use the Z gates). If you need to transfer inside Terminal between B gates (T1B) and A or Z gates (T1A), you can use transfer tunnel outside security, or the SkyLine train inside security, which leaves every 2-3 mins. An escalator from lower level A gates connects to upper level Z gates.tujan13posted on Tue, Jan 8

Connection between gatesJan 7, 201310Hi, I'm arriving to FRA Gate BSO and will connect a second flight at Z54. How do I go there? Many thaks fo a answer! /CHCFposted on Mon, Jan 7Before departure to FRA inquire from your first airline if they transfer your bags to the second airline - if not, you would have to claim your bag on arrival at FRA & re-check it in with your connecting airline. Also, if you do not yet have a boarding card for your connecting flight, you can obtain one at the gate or at the Transfer Desk in the B Concourse of Terminal 1. U.S. Arrivals are being processed at Area A where they go through passport control only ; US departures use the Z gates. (Z gates are part of Pier A, but are on thee upper level. Head towards gates Z50-69). If you need to transfer inside Terminal 1 between B gates (T1B) and A or Z gates (T1A), you can use transfer tunnel outside security, or the SkyLine train inside security, which leaves every 2-3 mins. An escalator from lower level A gates connects to upper level Z gates.mojan13posted on Mon, Jan 7

Will I have sufficient time? Do I need to recheckin my baggage? Do I need to go through immigaration?Flywestposted on Tue, Jan 11. Lufthansa uses Concourses A & B with corresponding gates. On arrival at Frankfurt you need to go through passport check and may have to pick up your bag, go through customs clearance, & re-check-in your bag where indicated. The overhead screens on arrival will indicate your connecting flight number and gate. Pier A gates are now divided into left-side gates A1-42 and right-side gates A50-69; (note: A gates are on lower level; Z gates are on upper level. Pier B, gates B1-B63: a transfer tunnel near B19 connects to A & Z gates; the SkyLine train near B-8 connects to E & D gates of Terminal 2. Pier Z (on upper level of Pier A) is divided into gates Z11-25 (left) and Z50-69 (right) - accessible from the Tunnel connecting A, Z & B. You have plenty of time to eat or shop. NOTE. if continuing your flight to the US, you would have to go through US immigration/customs clearance procedure on arrival.tujan13posted on Tue, Jan 1

Help Getting to my gate if short on timeDec 2, 201210I am arriving from Ottawa at 6;45 and have a connecting flight to Rome at 7:35. Will there be those golf carts around to help me get to my gate on time?K.Kposted on Sat, Dec 1That depends on if your incoming Airline to FRA will transfer your bags to your connecting flight; if not, you would have to take your bags & check them in with your next connecting airline. Note: (a) If you do not yet have a boarding card for your connecting flight, you can obtain one at the gate or at the Transfer Desk in the B Concourse of Terminal 1. 2. U.S. Arrivals are being processed at Area A where they go through passport control only. 3. If you need to transfer inside Terminal 1, between B gates (T1B) and A or Z gates (T1A), you can use transfer tunnel outside security, or the SkyLine train inside security, which leaves every 2-3 mins. An escalator from lower level A gates connects to upper level Z gates. 4. If you need to transfer between the two terminals, use the free SkyLine train which connects - inside the secured area - A & B gates & stops between D & E gates, and comes around every two minutes. To get from level 1 baggage claim A, B & C, to E & D, use the shuttle bus outside. 4. Carts are free at the inspection areas; and available inside & outside of baggage claim level. You have no time to waste!sunov12posted on Sun, Dec 2
