Connecting flight in 45 minutesOct 4, 201221Hi, I plan to take Vietnam Airlines from Hanoi to Frankfurt arriving at 6am, then take Lufthansa connecting fly to Hannover at 6.45 am. Is 45 minutes enough to transfer and can I do the immigration procedures at Hannover airport? Many thanks.hnposted on Thu, Oct 4[ Reply ][ Like ]Even though it is a large and very busy airport, you have time. It is extremely efficient.mdmposted on Thu, Oct 4You will arrive at Frankfurt Airport at Terminal 2 - D gates. You need to depart via Lufthansa to Terminal 1 A/B gates - After arrival and passport check /immigration procedures, you need to take your bags along to Terminal 1 by using the shuttle bus outside. At Terminal 1 you need to check in your bags with Lufthansa, get your boarding pass and proceed to either Pier A or B (gates A or B), the overhead screens in the terminal will indicate your flight number, gate & departure time. 45 mins is very short. Hurry! NOTE: If your Vietnam Airline will transfer your bags to Lufthansa connection, you will be able to take the SkyLine train to Terminal 1 instead, which runs every 2-3 mins.thoct12posted on Thu, Oct 41 person likes this post [ Like ]

Connection to ParisSep 30, 201210Hi. I am arriving at FRA at 8:25am by LH755 (from BLR, India) and having a connecting flight to Paris at 9:35am LH1030. Which gate does LH755 arrive at and how far is the departure gate of LH1030? What are my chances to make the connection in such a short duration? Any tips to reach the departure gate in quickest possible time?td2012posted on Sun, Sep 30You arrive and depart from the same Terminal 1 - Lufthansa uses Pier A (gates A1-42 & Z11-26) and Pier B (gates B1-B63) - the overhead screens on arrival & your ticket should indicate connecting gate - you need to go through non-Schengen (foreign) passport before proceeding to your connecting gate: you can use either the transfer tunnel outside security, or the SkyLine train inside security, which leaves every 2-3 mins. You have enough time!susep12posted on Sun, Sep 30

Transfer between Terminal1 and Terminal2Sep 22, 201211Hello... I arrive from Toronto on Air Canada to Terminal 1 at around noon and my connecting to Colombo with Srilankan is in Terminal 2.. I have about 2.5 hours to do the transfer... Is it enough?EERposted on Fri, Sep 211 person likes this post [ Like ]At FRA Airport T1 & T2 are next to each other and are connected by the SkyLine monorail and by shuttle buses. The SkyLine trains leave every 2-3 minutes, stopping at T1's Concourses A & B continuing to T2 between Concourses D & E. The Arrivals Level 1 for both terminals has a shuttle bus stop outside at left, to Terminal 2's D gates, departing every 10 minutes. As you will have to go through non-Schengen immigration procedure on arrival, you will probably need to take the post-security shuttle bus. Eiter way, you have enough time.sasep12posted on Sat, Sep 22

Gate for Lufthansa to Rio de JaneiroSep 14, 201210Hi, I am going to fly to Rio de Janeiro by Lufthansa on 17th of December from Delhi. I will land at FIA at 7 am. I have 3 hours of transition at the Frankfurt International Airport (FIA). Which gate should I go for departure to Rio?Raj Sakyaposted on Thu, Sep 13At FRA on arrival you need to go through non-Schengen (foreign) passport check. Lufthansa uses Concourses A & B of Terminal 1. (A gates were temporarily renumbered to Z gates 11-25 due to ongoing construction there); B gates remain B gates - On arrival look at overhead screens to find your flight number and gate. The SkyLine trains leave every 2-3 minutes, stopping at T1's Concourses A & B. You have plenty of time.frsep12posted on Fri, Sep 14

ConnectionSep 10, 201210My friends are arriving at 13.40h from Lisbon (LH6955) and connecting to Larnaca with departure at 14.40h (CY377). Can you please provide assistance so they can get the flight to Larnaca? Their names: Luis Barreiros and Tiago Filho. ThanksAMUSTposted on Mon, Sep 10Your friends arrive at FRA via Lufthansa at Terminal 1, Concourse B (B gates) and depart with Cypress Airways in the same Concourse. No need to transfer - they just need to walk over to their connecting gate (overhead screens should indicate flight number & gate).mosep12posted on Mon, Sep 10

Change of airlines - 1:Aug 30, 201210On 28.12.12 I am arriving from LAS on DE 4083 at 13:30 and then departing on JU 351 to BEG at 14:50. These flights are not being purchased as connecting, but rather separate flights. Is there enough time to clear passport control, claim baggage, check-in and board the JU 351 flight?MIZZTAZZposted on Thu, Aug 30You arrive at FRA via Condor Airlines and depart via Jat Airways, both using Terminal 1, Concourse C gates. You need to go through non-Schengen passport conrol, then pick up your bags, check them in and get your boarding pass for your connecting flight: If you do not yet have a boarding card for your connecting flight, you can obtain one at the gate or at the Transfer Desk in the B Concourse of Terminal 1. FRA has excellent directional signs. Your time is tight, hurry.thaug12posted on Thu, Aug 30

Choosing flights-which is better choice?Jul 28, 201210Making reservations for May 2013. Rome to FRA on LH243, connecting to LH440 to Houston. Or, Rome to FRA on LH231 connecting to UA47 Each allows 90 min. Is one of these an easier connection to make?mcmaxposted on Fri, Jul 27I would opt for taking Lufthansa for both flights, unless it is willing to transfer your bags in Frankfurt to your United flight, as not all airlines do that, in which case you would have to claim your bags on arrival and re-check them in at the United counter (Lufthansa uses both Concourses A & B, while United uses Concourse B (with corresponding gates. 90 mins should suffice.sajul12posted on Sat, Jul 28

Connecting flight to ChennaiJul 27, 201211Next week, flying from SFO to Frankfurt (LH 9053) and from Frankfurt taking the connecting flight to Chennai (LH 758) on the same day. The time gap is only 75 minutes. Is that sufficient? Which terminal the flights are likely to arrive and depart.RRposted on Thu, Jul 261 person likes this post [ Like ]Lufthansa serves Frankfurt Airport at Terminal 1, at both Concourses A & B. Arriving flight could be either in the A or B gates; departing flight is listed as being in the B gates ("1B") If you need to transfer inside Terminal between B gates and A & Z gates, you can use transfer tunnel. Note, however, that recentlty A gates 51-65 were renamed to Z11 to Z25. Your transfer time should suffice if your incoming plane is not considerably late.frjul12posted on Fri, Jul 27

transferJul 25, 201210I am flying in from Chicago on Lufthansa arriving at 06:50 and need to connect at 08:30 to a flight to Muenster/Osnabrueck, also on Lufthansa. I am a senior with a recent knee replacement. Do I have enough time going through Immigration and then connecting to my flight?epsposted on Tue, Jul 24When arriving at Frankfurt Airport, you will need to go through their 'non-Schengen' (foreign) arrivals immigration/ customs clearance procedure. Bring along a paper indicating your knee replacement, just in case. While seniors past 75 are now excempt from going through body search in the U.S., I am not sure whether Europe also adheres to this change. As to time, it should suffice; however, keep in mind that you arrive & depart at morning rush hour and peak summer time travel. Note that Lufthansa operates in both Concourses A & B with corresponding gates. On arrival, look at the overhead screens and note your connecting flight number, gate & departure time.wejul12posted on Wed, Jul 25

seeing friend in transit at FRAJul 17, 201210Hi, I have a UK friend coming on 27/09 from MAN (flight LH949) and going to Istambul (flight LH1300), transiting through FRA. He's travelling using Lufthansa. He has about 2.5 hours between his 2 flights. Is he allowed to leave the after-security area to meet me in the public area? Also where would be the best place to meet up? Thanks!CMTCposted on Mon, Jul 16Lufthansa serves in Concourses A & B of Frankfurt Airport - Your friend should contact the flight attendant as to what he needs to do to exit secured area & get back to his connecting flight. It would be best to meet up at the baggage claim area's information counter in the main terminal's Arrivals level.tujul12posted on Tue, Jul 17

Help with Parents Transfer at FrankfurtJul 14, 201210HI. My parents are arriving from MAA at Frankfurt via lufthansa and then transferring to Miami using lufthansa as well. My question how much is the distance between the gates. I know they will arrrive at terminal 1 but what will be the concourses of arrival and departures . will 1 hr 30 min be enough and also will they have deboard some where and take a bus to the terminal gates?bharathkumarposted on Fri, Jul 131. As international 'non-Schengen' arrivals at Frankfurt Airport, your parents need to go through immigration /customs clearance before moving on to their connecting gate. This is Terminal 1's departure layout: Level 3 of T1 - the Pier /Concourse level - houses Piers/ Concourses A, B & C. Transit Areas A & Z lead to A & Z gates; Transit Areas B & C lead to B & C gates. The overhead "Connecting flights" sign will guide you to the proper gates by separate signs, i.e., "Connecting Flight C1-13". They have plenty of time to transfer. NOTE: Pier A is getting an expansion, referred to as 'Pier A-Plus' , housing 23 gates and shops. In preparation therefor, Terminal 1's non-Schengen Pier A gates A51-65 were renamed to gates Z11-25. The new pier is scheduled to open soon - or might have opened already.sajul12posted on Sat, Jul 14
