Hi, we are travelling from Manchester UK to Rome with layover in Frankfurt. We have 90minutes going and 60minutes on return for transfers. Is this enough? We are only taking hand luggage. Also, as we have EU passports do we just go straight to departure gate?
Yes, that is enough time. Both ways you will have to go through passport control.
I'm arriving to Frankfurt via KU171 arrival time 11:25 hrs.(i don't know which Terminal) then Departure to Florence Via LH312 (i don't know which Terminal) at 12:30 hrs. with waiting time only 1:05 hrs.It is one Ticket and I have only hand bags Is it enough time and do I need to go through passport control.
You will arrive in Terminal 2 and depart from Terminal 1. Are your flights on the same reservation or two separate reservations? Do you have checked bags?
Thank you for your reply.my flight with same reservation one ticket and I have no checking bags.

Then all you have to do is go through Schengen Entry passport control and security and on the Skyline from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1. You may also have to stop at the Lufthansa transfer desk to get your Lufthansa boarding pass if Kuwait Airways can't issue it.
Thank you ,very useful information. Is there is enough time with one hour to go through this assuming all flight on time.
It's just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
Hello, I will be flying from San Francisco to FRA on United airlines and connecting from there to Budapest also on United (but operated by Lufthansa) with a 2hr layover. My question is is it confusing to find the gates for connections? Will I arrive in say Gate A area and connect in the same area or will I have to go to B or C gates to connect? Will I have to go through passport control and security again and will I have to take a shuttle to get to a different gate?
You will have to go through Schengen Entry passport control but not security. Just follow the signs to your departure gate. Your departure gate will probably be a "bus gate" where a bus takes you to your aircraft. You have enough time.
Thank you, that is very helpful to know. I'm glad this forum exists!
We are flying from Washington on UA, transferring in FRA on Lufthansa traveling to Venice. We only have 1 hour. Will we need to pass through immigration or customs? Is 1 hour enough time assuming the flights are not delayed?
You will go through Schengen Entry Passport Control. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Lufthansa flights - Arriving with LH-691 from Tel-Aviv. Connection time to Munich is 1:15h.
I know this is rather tight schedule. Any tips how I can increase my chances to make it on time?
Hi, my wife is arriving at 15.15 from Havana through terminal 1 in a Condor flight and she needs to get her next flight (Lufthansa) to London in the same terminal which departures at 17.00. She is from Cuba but she does not need a transit visa in Germany. Is that enough time? I asked a wheelchair to help her to move directly toward the next gate.
Yes, that should be enough time.
I will be possessing only Ireland entry visa shoud I be able to transfer
between flights without transit visa
You need a German Airport Transit Visa.
Thanks for the information ZAP. It's my first time travelling out of India
and please let me know if I can obtain the German Airport transit visa on arrival. Again thanks in advance.
No, they do not issue visas on arrival - you need it to board the plane. You need to get it from a German Embassy or Consulate in India.
Thanks for the information. But I happen to see the information in Lufthansa portal,
3. Indian nationals can Transit without Visa via FRA or MUC if holding a valid visa for the destination and a valid Visa for any of the following countries

Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Ireland, Japan, Liechtenstein, Romania, UK and USA (the approval notice I-797 is not valid document for visa free airport transit).
Thanks.
OK, that's better information than what I was working off which did not include Ireland.
Hi. I am flying from Atlanta to Frankfurt on the 21st of December and I have a 3 hour connection in Frankfurt? Is that enough time? Will I need to go through passport control? I then fly to Rome, so will those flights be in the same terminal? How does that connection work? ON January 3rd, I al flying from Venice to Frankfurt with an hour and 30 minute connection to my final flight from Frankfurt to Atlanta. IS that enough time? Do I need to switch terminals? Thank you in advance.
What airlines are you flying? If all flights are on Lufthansa then that is enough time and will be in the same terminal
HI. I arrive 23 december in Frankfurt from Tirana with a lufthansa flight and then after 45 minutes I have a flight to krakow always with lufthansa.. The time from gate to gate enough? I am UE citizen.
That will be difficult as you will have to go through Schengen entry passport control and security and then to your departure gate in Frankfurt. I won't say it's completely impossible though.
