Flying to Fra from Mumbai. Arrive at 8:00 at terminal 1 and leave from terminal 1 at 9:20. Will we have time for transfer? Thank you
Where are you flying to?
I've a flight from Zagreb to Frankfurt (OU410) arriving 0915 in FRA Terminal 1. Then I have flight from FRA to London at 1055 (BA 0903) departing from Terminal 2. Do I have enough time? Do I have to collect my luggage and clear immigration again? Thanks.
If it's two separate reservations, you will have to go through Immigration, claim your bags, take the Skyline to Terminal 2, re-check your bags, go through security and schengen exit passport control. That will be very difficult to do in that amount of time.
Thanks! very helpful advice. Looks like I won't risk it.
Flying Orlando FL to Prague. Change planes in Frankfurt. Will arrive and leave from terminal 1. What do we have to do upon arrival? Passport check? Is 90 min enough time?
If both flights are on Lufthansa then all you have to do is go through Schengen entry passport control and to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Arrive on 419 from IAD at 7:55a. Connecting to 686 to TLV, departing at 10:05a. How long to walk, with luggage, and do we again go through security. Thanks
That is plenty of time. You don't have to go through any normal security but there may be a secondary screening at your gate because you are going to Israel.
We are flying from YVR LH 493 connecting to Zag LH 1414 75 minutes to get to we have to pass security and do we have enough time. Thanks
All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Traveling from Athens through Frankfurt to Atlanta in Jul. Aegean will get me to Frankfurt and ongoing connection with Delta. Term 1 and 2. The connection time is only 1hr 15 min. Will this be enough time to get through the airport. The flights will be booked on the same reservation.
If everything is on the same reservation that is just enough time.
I am flying United from Washington Dulles to Frankfurt where I will take a connecting flight (Lufthansa) to Lisbon . Both flights were booked in one reservation. What must I do upon arrival at Frankfurt before boarding my flight to Lisbon? Do I (a) retrieve luggage, (b) go through passport control, (c) go through security again? Anything else? And has anybody used the gate to gate service? If so, what was the experience like? Thanks!
All you have to do in Frankfurt is go through Schengen Passport control and to your departure gate. Nothing with your luggage.
Arriving at Frankfurt from Portland OR , via Condor at 4:45 pm my next flight is operated by Croatia airlines leaves at 6 pm for Zagreb. Will I have enough time ?
If both flights are on the same reservation it is possible. It is not if it's two separate reservations and you have checked bags.
Thanks for the reply. We are traveling with 2 young kids. What happens in the event that travelers miss their connecting flight? Does the airline provide a hotel room, or are they responsible for that? Are they entitled to the next flight to the same city from that airline? Or do they have standby status? Our tickets were purchased through a travel agency.
I will be flying from jfk to Bangalore via Frankfurt and I have 2 small children. The stopover is 90 mins. Will that be enough time. I will have a car seat and stroller with me. Will I have to go through security again? Thank you
You will not have to go through security in Frankfurt on the way to Bangalore, just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have enough time.
I've read many comments that this "should be fine" if all goes well...but those seem to be coming from the USA connecting to Europe destinations. What about the reverse? Coming in from Budapest - I'm assuming you are deplaning on the tarmac/apron, taking a bus to the terminal and then heading to the gate (no passport control when coming this direction, right? It's a choice of 1hr 10mi layover or 5hr25mi and getting up at 3am to head to the airport. Your thoughts?
The reverse is actually a bit easier usually since Schengen Exit Passport Control is a shorter process.
