In April, I'm flying from Chicago to Beirut via Frankfurt. I have 3 questions. I'm flying with United and Middle East Airline. Will I need to recheck baggage? Will I need to go through security check-in again? Will the arrival and departure gate be in the same terminal?
Are both flights on the same reservation or two separate reservations? Both flights are in Terminal 1.
Both flights are on the same reservation.
Then all you need to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You might have to get your boarding pass from the MEA transfer desk if the first airline can't issue it.
Thank you for your help!
Hello, we are flying LH981 to Frankfurt from Dublin, Our connecting flight is LH772 to Bangkok – all booked on one ticket. The Layover time is 1hrs 5 mins which if obviously very tight. Will we need to clear immigration/security again in Frankfurt?
Since you are not entering the Schengen area you don't have to go through Immigration and because you are coming from somewhere in the EU, you don't have to go through security. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Hello. I am planning to fly from Johannesburg to Chicago, with a connection in Frankfurt. How long will I need to transfer? I am quite nervous.
If both flights are on the same reservation, 60-90 minutes is sufficient.
I will be arriving at Terminal 1 on a Lufthansa flight this Friday am and will need to collect my luggage and then check in with BA at Terminal 2 for an onward flight. Any tips? I assume that I need to clear security before boarding the skyline?
You will actually take the "non-sterile" side of the Skyline and go through security and Schengen Exit Passport Control after re-checking your bags with BA in Terminal 2.
Hello, I have 70 minutes, arriving on LH from JFK, need to make a flight to Zurich but my final destination is a non-schengen (Nairobi) will I have enough time? Do I need to clear immigration/security?
In Frankfurt you will have to go through Schengen Entry Passport control because you are first flying to another airport in the Schengen Area. You should have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I have a flight from Lisbon on TAP to Frankfurt with a 1 hour connection to Dubrovnik on Croatia airline. Is this doable or should I search for a longer connection?
That is possible if both flights are on the same reservation.
Original sked had a nice 2+ hr connection time but that has been reduced to 1:40, arriving at 09:10 and departing at 10:50. Both flights should be in T2, I think, but I will be arriving from non-Schengen and transferring to a (domestic) Schengen flight. (DFW-FRA-TXL) I feel like this is enough time but not much to spare. The glitch (other than a late transatlantic arrival) would be if AA cannot give me my AB BP when I check in at DFW. Any advice on transiting efficiently? NB, I will be traveling with some companions, a couple of whom are older and won'd be able to hustle like I can.
AA should be able to issue both boarding passes. You should have enough time.
God willing. Occasionally they can't, for whatever reason!
We have a connection time of 60 min, flying LH on both flights. We arrive from LAX and connect going to ZAB is this enough time? And r we in the same terminal? Flight is in September thanks!
That is just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
Never been to Frankfurt Airport. Have return flight for 2 people from dublin to Belgrade in March transferring in Frankfurt. We have 2 hours for connection outgoing. But on the return flight from Belgrade we land in Frankfurt at 15.15 and our flight to Dublin is at 16.10. Is this enough time for connection? All flights say T1 but dont know gates yet and flights are all booked with Lufthansa.
It's just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
I will be arriving at 11am on a Monday on Lufthansa from San Francisco...I then depart an hour later on Scandinavian is this this stage I will have completed 25 hours flying having originated from New Zealand (home)
It's possible but it doesn't leave much time to spare.
Happy to not have a spare time just want to know I can get next flight :-)
Will I need to go through any security or passport controls?
Will the 2 flights be from the same terminal?
