Hi, my 18 yr old daughter is traveling from Detroit with a 2 hour transfer time to get a flight to Manchester. Bags will be checked through from Detroit to Manchester. Would you say that this is an easy transfer giving her enoughtime to arrive and depart without a huge worry that she will make it?
Yes, that should be plenty of time.
Many thanks, you've put my mind at ease.
Connecting for the first time through FRA. Arriving on Air Canada and connecting through to Oslo on SAS. Is two hours enough time and is there security passport control between connecting international flights? thanks!
Yes, that should be enough time. You will just go through Schengen entry passport control in Frankfurt.
Thanks ZAP. Do you need to collect bags for Schengen entry or are they checked through to the final destination?
You don't have to do anything with your bags.
We will be arriving at Frankfurt on LH 755 (Terminal 1) and departing to Chicago via LH 430 (Terminal 1). We are on the same ticket and our baggages will be checked. My travel companion would be using wheelchair assistance. Would a 1 hr 50 min layover be sufficient to make the connection? Thanks in advance!
That should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Thanks, ZAP!
Have 75min connection from Chicago to Moscow in FRA both Terminal 1 - do we have to go through Schengen entry / security checkpoint and if so how long does this take?
Since you are not entering the Schengen Area you don't have to go through Passport control in Frankfurt. Just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have enough time.
We are arriving on Lufthansa 695 at Frankfort Terminal 1. We are leaving via LH 422 to Boston at Terminal 1. We are on the same ticket and have checked baggage. Our layoff is approx. 90 minutes. Will we need to go through customs, security and claimed baggage during layoff? Thanks ZAP!!
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. No Customs, passport control, or anything with your baggage.
I'm coming in from SFO --> FRA via united and connecting from FRA -->SPU via Croatian airlines. There is a short 1 hr 30 min connection. Will this be enough time? Do we need to go through passport control?
All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have enough time.
Hi, I am travelling from NCE to FRA and onward to YUL. Both flights are Lufthansa and arrive / depart Terminal 1. Do I need to clear security or just passport control? Thanks.
You will just have to go through Schengen Exit passport control in Frankfurt.
Thank you!
US citizen flying from SFO to ATH via CDG (Paris). Both flights on Air France. Will I have to claim my check in baggage at CDG to go through customs and security? I have 1 hour 25 min for connection (2E to 2F).
You will not have to claim your bags in Paris. Just go through passport control and to your departure gate.
Our flight BRU-FRA-YYZ just had its schedule revised, leaving us with a connecting time of 1:05. Both incoming and departing flights are T1, and as far as I'm aware we don't need to clear security, just Schengen exit controls, is this correct? Will this be enough time, light carry on only and two young guys, no kids etc?
Yes, that is correct. You should have enough time.
I am traveling from India to Berlin on Lufthansa with a one hour layover in Frankfurt. The flight generally arrives at gate C5A and the departing flight is from gate A17. How far are they and will I be able to make it? In case I miss it due to security or confusion in the direction will I be boarded to a new flight?
1 hour is sort of risky. If you miss it you will just be rebooked on thenext flight to Berlin.
Thanks. Still any idea how long ir might take? Or any shortcuts?
