  • Stockholm to Denver, 1 hour transfer at. FRA?
    Nov 27, 2013

We just flew from Denver to Stockholm via FRA. We were both extremely surprised at the whole "bus gate" thing where we had to take a bus to get to our plane. On the way back we only have 1 hour, 5 minutes to make the connection. I'm very concerned now about that, especially if we arrive at a bus gate and have to wait for the bus to fill up, in addition to going through passport control, that this is a long shot. Is it doable or should I try to change to an earlier flight from Stockholm?

You won't have to go through immigration in Frankfurt on your return as both Sweden and Germany are in Schengen. All you will have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate and go through security at your gate. You should have enough time.

Really? That'd be be ideal. I thought transferring to a US flight though I'd have to go through it.

You will go through US immigration in Denver. That's the only immigration you'll have to go through.

  • Conecction with an intercontinental flight just 60 minutes

I have a flight from BOLOGNA - ITALY that arrives at Frankfurt airport and exactly 60 minutes later I do have my flight to COLOMBIA it's possible to do all the immigration process, passport check, controls ecc in such a few time?? There is a way to know better which are the terminals or somehing to lose less time? I'm so worried. Thank you

There will be no immigration in Frankfurt since both Italy and Germany are located within Schengen. You will just have to go through security at your departure gate.

yes I know that, but I need to fly to Colombia and they have to mark my passport it happens all the time because my final destination it's a NON SCHENGEN. Is just that im afraid beacuse it's my first time on this airport I usually go to Colombia through Spain.

60 minutes it's too few and I dont know this airport. I have been reading and it's supoused that I will arrive at the terminal number 1 Gate A and then the flight to Colombia leaves from Gate C. It's two far? do i have to take a train or bus to get into this gate ?? or just walking how long will take?? Thanks

You mean you just need to get your passport stamped with an exit visa? The gates will be pretty close together. Your plane may arrive away from the terminal so you may have to take a bus from your plane to the terminal but you won't have to take a train or bus once you're actually in the terminal.

Yes I need to get my passport stamped with the exit... So I just need to take a bus from the plane to the terminal and when I arrive I just have to walk until I find the gate C and make the inmigration controls.. the point is that I think that maybe 60 minutes are not enough :(

Well, be sure to find out your ACTUAL departure gate upon arrival - C is just a concourse. Lots of people make 60 minute connections at FRA.

Travelling from Rome on LH or LH City Line, departing on LH for Toronto. Is 1 1/2 hour layover enough

Your transfer time should suffice. Lufthansa uses Concourses /gates A B. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/fra, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text with transfer options.

  • Naples to Frankfurt to Toronto

Hi, I am flying from Naples to Toronto (with a layover in Frankfurt). I am flying Lufthansa from Naples to Frankfurt and Air Canada from Frankfurt to Toronto. Although it looks like they are both in terminal 1, the layover time is only 45 minutes. Is that enough time? Do I have to go through customs/pick up my bag? Thanks in advance!

Lufthansa will arrive at T1, Concourse B, while Air Canada is departing at Concourse Z (for all U.S. departures). All you need to do is I transfer between B gates (T1B) and satellite T1A (A gates downstairs, Z gates upstairs. You can use the transfer tunnel outside security, or the SkyLine train inside security, which leaves every 2-3 mins. An escalator from lower level A gates connects to upper level Z gates.

    Thanks! That's helpful.

I will arrive at 20:25 from Athens by LH and depart for Budapest at 21:10 by LH, could I manage the transfer in time?

    1. At FRA, Lufthansa uses Terminal 1, Concourses A & B (with corresponding gates). 2. U.S. Arrivals are being processed at Area A where they go through passport control only. 3. To transfer between B gates (T1B) and A or Z gates (T1A), you can either use the transfer tunnel outside security, or the SkyLine train inside security leaving every 2-3 mins. You have enough time.

I am arriving to FRA from CDG next week, continuing on to IAH. I only have 45min between flights. Will I go through passport control and security? Is 45min enough time? How far apart from my landing gate is my departure gate? Thanks

    Please help!

Can someone please answer this? I need to know if I should change to another airport!

You will only go through security at your gate. You should have enough time. If for some reason you miss your connection Lufthansa has lots of ways to rebook you to your final destination.

  • Connection LH439 and LH758

Hello, I am planning to travel from Dallas (DFW) to Chennai (MAA) by Lufthansa. But am worried about the layover of just 1 hour at FRA between LH439 and LH758. Is 1 hour enough to make it to the connecting flight? I cannot walk fast due to a medical condition. Will the gates be situated far apart? Please advice.

    Please help.. this is urgent

You should have enough time. If you're worried about your ability to walk you can ask Lufthansa for assistance.

U.S. Arrivals at FRA are being processed at Area A of Terminal 1 where they go through passport control only. Lufthansa uses both A & B gates. If you need to transfer between B gates (T1B) and A gates (T1A) use the SkyLine train inside security, which leaves every 2-3 mins. FRA is easy to navigate with international signs to guide you.

U.S. Arrivals at FRA are being processed at Area A where they go through passport control. Lufthansa uses both A & B Concourses (A & B gates). If you need to transfer inside Terminal 1between B gates (T1B) and A or Z gates (T1A), you can use transfer tunnel outside security, or the SkyLine train inside security, which leaves every 2-3 mins. You have enough time.

  • From Air Canada to TAP

I'm arriving on Air Canada from Calgary. After I pick up bags I need to connect to TAP573 from Frankfurt to Lisbon. Connection time 1.35. Is that enough time to clear Passport, pick up bags and connect to TAP573.

You arrive at Terminal 1 of FRA, at Concourse B, then will have to go through passport check and proceed to Concouse C, your TAM connection. Your bags will be automatically transferred, as both airlines belong to the same Star Alliance. You have enough time.
