Flying Lufthansa from LA to Frankfurt. Is an hour and a 1/2 enough time to connect to the next Lufthansa to Prague. What is the arrival terminal and any chance it would also be the departing terminal?

Yes, all Luftansa flights are in the same terminal. You will follow signs to your departing gate and on the way you will clear Schengen immigration and pass through security. You should have enough time.

  • Amsterdam-Frankfurt-India flight Connection time 70 mins at Frankfurt
    Apr 4, 2014
Hi, I am taking houston to mumbai flight which has a stop at Amsterdam and Frankfurt. The frankfurt layover time is 70 mins and the departing flight is at the terminal . Would this be a sufficient time ?

Forgot to mention , the departing flight from Frankfurt is at the same terminal where the flight from Amsterdam gets down.

What airlines are you flying? Were all your tickets bought on the same itinerary?

US citizen flying from Barcelona to Frankfurt on a Lufthansa flight. Have 1 hour and 20 to connect to a United Airline Flight going to Los Angeles, CA. Is this enough time for that connection?

Actually, Frankfurt-LAX is a Luftansa flight as well, United does not fly that route. 80 minutes should be enough time.

Is an hour and half enough time in Frankfurt between a domestic Lufthansa flight to an International Air Canada Flight? Are they in the same terminal? Thank you!

    i think its too tight

Both flights are out of Pier (Concourse) B, which has gates B1-B63. You have plenty of time.

  • Connection time at Frankfurt Airport

US citizen flying from Prague to Frankfurt on a Lufthansa flight. Have 1 hour and 35 minutes to connect to a United Flight going to Washington, DC. Is this enough time for that connection?

Yes, that should be enough time. Since the Czech Republic and Germany are both in the Schengen area you will only have to go through security at your gate (no immigration or customs) in Frankfurt.

  • USA-Frankfurt-India and back. 1 hr connections on both flights
    Jan 31, 2014
Trying to book tickets USA-Frankfurt-India and back. I have 1 hour connection from noon to 1 pm at frankfurt on both flights. I've had bad experience at FRA due to airport work in 2011. What is the risk?

forget it, since india departures are mostly from B gates, which is far away from inbound US flights (A gates). I would not risk it, 2 hours minimum. In 2011, A+ satellite was not open, its now which has greatly enhanced the longhaul flights operations for passengers and LH

sorry meant Z gates for US flights (non-schengen)

  • 45 minutes layover time
    Jan 28, 2014
We will be flying from Athens via Frankfurt to Toronto in May, 2014. The layover time in Frankfurt is 45 minutes. Will we be able to make it to the Air Canada connecting flight. The flight from Athens is operated by Aegean Airlines.

Just want to make a correction to my post. The flight from Athens is operated by Lufthansa and will arrive in Terminal 1. Air Canada's flight also leaves from Terminal 1.

  • Budapest to Frankfurt to Calgary
    Jan 15, 2014
Is 1 hour enough time to get to my flight on Air Canada going to Calgary from my flight on Luftansana from Budapest? I can't walk very fast and I'm concerned that I'll miss my connection.

You should have enough time - all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate and through security at your gate.

    wtf is luftansana???

  • Stockholm to Denver, 1 hour transfer at. FRA?
    Nov 27, 2013
We just flew from Denver to Stockholm via FRA. We were both extremely surprised at the whole "bus gate" thing where we had to take a bus to get to our plane. On the way back we only have 1 hour, 5 minutes to make the connection. I'm very concerned now about that, especially if we arrive at a bus gate and have to wait for the bus to fill up, in addition to going through passport control, that this is a long shot. Is it doable or should I try to change to an earlier flight from Stockholm?

You won't have to go through immigration in Frankfurt on your return as both Sweden and Germany are in Schengen. All you will have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate and go through security at your gate. You should have enough time.

Really? That'd be be ideal. I thought transferring to a US flight though I'd have to go through it.

You will go through US immigration in Denver. That's the only immigration you'll have to go through.

  • Conecction with an intercontinental flight just 60 minutes
    Nov 21, 2013
I have a flight from BOLOGNA - ITALY that arrives at Frankfurt airport and exactly 60 minutes later I do have my flight to COLOMBIA it's possible to do all the immigration process, passport check, controls ecc in such a few time?? There is a way to know better which are the terminals or somehing to lose less time? I'm so worried. Thank you

There will be no immigration in Frankfurt since both Italy and Germany are located within Schengen. You will just have to go through security at your departure gate.

yes I know that, but I need to fly to Colombia and they have to mark my passport it happens all the time because my final destination it's a NON SCHENGEN. Is just that im afraid beacuse it's my first time on this airport I usually go to Colombia through Spain.

60 minutes it's too few and I dont know this airport. I have been reading and it's supoused that I will arrive at the terminal number 1 Gate A and then the flight to Colombia leaves from Gate C. It's two far? do i have to take a train or bus to get into this gate ?? or just walking how long will take?? Thanks

You mean you just need to get your passport stamped with an exit visa? The gates will be pretty close together. Your plane may arrive away from the terminal so you may have to take a bus from your plane to the terminal but you won't have to take a train or bus once you're actually in the terminal.

Yes I need to get my passport stamped with the exit... So I just need to take a bus from the plane to the terminal and when I arrive I just have to walk until I find the gate C and make the inmigration controls.. the point is that I think that maybe 60 minutes are not enough :(

Well, be sure to find out your ACTUAL departure gate upon arrival - C is just a concourse. Lots of people make 60 minute connections at FRA.

  • 1hr 20 min connection

  • Rome-Frankfurt-Toronto connection
    Nov 10, 2013
Travelling from Rome on LH or LH City Line, departing on LH for Toronto. Is 1 1/2 hour layover enough

Your transfer time should suffice. Lufthansa uses Concourses /gates A B. I suggest you open, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text with transfer options.
