assistance for seniorsFeb 6, 201310My elderly mom will be transferring in FRA from a USAIRWAYS flight from PHL and transferring on a LOT flight to Warsaw. She can get quite confused in new surrounding so I was wondering if there is a service where someone can meet her at the arrival gate and escort her through passport control all the way to the gate for the flight to WAW? Thank youweb2094posted on Tue, Feb 5[ Reply ][ Like ]First contact USAirways if they will transfer her bags to the LOT connecting flight - if not, the bags would have to be claimed at the baggage claim level, and re-checked in at the departures level with LOT. On Arrival at Frankfurt Airport, your mom will be processed at Area A (signs will guide her) where she will have to go through passport control. Both US Airways & LOT use the same Terminal 1 - LOT uses Concourse/Pier A (T1A) and US Airways T1C. Pier A gates are now divided into left-side gates A1-42 and right-side gates A50-69. Contact both airlines for wheelchair assistance. If that is too late, your mom needs to alert the flight attendant of her requirement, so that someone will be there at the arrivals gate with a wheelchair.wejan13posted on Wed, Feb 6

Transfer from Air Canada to LufthansaJan 15, 201310If I have 1 hour 5 minutes to transfer from International Luthansa flight to an International Air Canada flight will I likely make the connection?wisdomdakiniposted on Mon, Jan 14You arrive and depart from Terminal 1 of FRA Airport, where you go through 'Non-Schengen' passport check. Lufthansa uses both Concourses /Piers A & B, while Air Canada uses Pier B. While a transfer tunnel outside security connects both piers, you can also use the SkyLine train inside security, departing every 2-3 mins. You have enough time.tujan13posted on Tue, Jan 15

transfer timeOct 4, 201210I have a flight on 11 oct. from Amsterdam to Frankfurt with LH 999 arriving at 21.20 p.m. Then I have a connecting flight to Ankara with LH 1290 departing at 22.25. Do I have sufficient time for transfer, and what are the gate numbers for LH 999 and LH 1290 respectively.zebposted on Thu, Oct 4While both arriving and departing Lufthansa flights at FRA Airport are using Terminal 1, Piers A & B, today's LH 999 does not show gate and LH 1290 shows Terminal 1 A/B. (A transfer tunnel connects A to B). On arrival at FRA the overhead screen will indicate flight number and gate; then simply follow signs to your connecting gate. One hour transfer time is quite sufficient.thoct12posted on Thu, Oct 4

Meet another passenger on a different ftOct 2, 201210Hello...My wife and I are going to meet in Franfurt for a holiday but are arriving on different flights. My wife will arrive on Air Canada flt AC 872 at 7:00 AM on 06 October 2012 from Toronto Canada and I will arrive on Lufthansa flt LH 561 at 7:05AM on 06 October 2012 from Luanda Angola. Is it possible to meet her at her gate or should we meet some where else?Canada362posted on Mon, Oct 1Both you and your wife will arrive at Terminal 1 - Air Canada arrives at Pier (Concourse) C, while Lufthansa could arrive either at Pier A or B. As you both will need to go through the 'non-Schengen' (foreign) passport control, I suggest you meet up in the baggage claim area (the overhead screens at the carousels will indicate arriving airlines).tuoct12posted on Tue, Oct 2

ConnectionsSep 22, 201220Flying to Canada from Vilnius on Luftansa Flight 887 to FRA and need to leave FRA on Air Canada Flight 887 with only 50 minutes to make the connection. Any way we can get help to make that connection expeditiously? Thank you.SMSposted on Sat, Sep 22Arrival and departure at FRA Airport is in the same Terminal 1: Lufthansa uses non-schengen Concourse A (with renamed gates Z11-Z25), which is on level 3 of the terminal; while Air Canada uses Concourse C (gates C1-C16) which is on level 2 of the terminal. Make sure, however, that Lufthansa is transferring your bags to Air Canada flight - if not, you would have to go get your bags and re-check them in with Air Canada - 50 mins would be very tight in this case.sasep12posted on Sat, Sep 22
