Gdansk Lech Walesa GDN Airport Overview

Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport GDN serves the Pomeranian state of northern Poland, which includes the Tri-Cities of Gdanks, Sopot & Gdynia (Gdansk is 12 km, Sopot 10 km) and Gdynia 23 km from the Airport.  You can contact the Airport within Poland at 801 002 801.

The Airport is located near Heweliusza Street 13-17 in Gdansk, opposite the Mercure Hewelius Hotel.

With an estimated 2.9 million passengers in 2012, Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport is served by domestic and international airlines, including low-cost carriers Wizz Air, AirBerlin and Ryanair, offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe. Seasonal charters serve popular tourist destinations. 

NOTE: It is advisable to arrive at the Airport three hours prior to scheduled departure if you check your baggage, and 1.5 hours otherwise. The on-airport 'Hampton by Hilton' hotel is now open for business.

Checking in at City Terminal - located in city center at Jana Heweliusza Street 13-17, across from Mercure Hevelius (use E77 exit on Highway 1) will significantly shorten your waiting time at the airport by using the following facilities:
1. Check-in 24 hours prior to, or on day of scheduled departure (4 hrs if with checked baggage; 2 hrs without checked baggage - except for Wizzair passengers). 2.  Other services include air ticket sale, travel services, business services, rental car counters & travel insurance.  Note that the Airport Bus (airportbus.com.pl) stops at the City terminal (Terminalu Miasto).

Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport has now two passenger terminals - T1 & T2.   (For detailed terminal information, click on 'Terminal Map'.) 

Parking options at Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport : 
P1 & P3 are for hourly/daily parking ;
P2 is for daily parking; and
P4 is daily economy parking.

To get from the Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi or a bus:  City Plus Taxis are in front of the terminal.
The City Bus runs the following routes: (a) Bus 110 from Gdansk-Wrzeszcz (Railway Station) to  Airport;
(b) Bus 210 from Gdansk Glowny (Railway Station) to Airport;
(c) Bus N3 – a night bus – from Gdansk Glowny (Railway Station) to Airport;
(d) Bus 510 from Gdynia Glowna (Railway Station) – Airport. A minibus service ‘Ozzy Travel’ runs between the Airport and Koszalin, Slupsk & Slawno.
