Monterrey Escobedo MTY Airport Overview
Monterrey Mariano Escobedo Airport MTY is serving the industrial state of Nuevo Leon in northeastern Mexico, and its capital city Monterrey, Mexico's third-largest city. It is the larger of two airports serving greater Monterrey (the other is Del Norte International Airport). The Airport is managed by OMA.
The Airport is located located in Apodaca, 24 km northeast of Monterrey, and is off Hwy 48, which connects to the north to the Carr. Fed. 54 and to the south to Nuevo Leon 40D/41.
With two runways and 6.1 million passengers in 2012, Escobedo International is hub to Aeromexico Connect, Magnicharters & Viva Aerobus, ai secondary hub to Aeromexico. It is served by domestic & international airlines offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe. However, air travel is mostly within Mexico, with a small share of US air travel.

Parking options at Monterrey Escobido Airport:
A carpark for short- & long-term parking is across from the passenger terminal;
A long-term parking lot is behind the carpark (100 meters from the terminal).

A carpark for short- & long-term parking is across from the passenger terminal;
A long-term parking lot is behind the carpark (100 meters from the terminal).
Rental car counters are in the arrivals & departure areas of TA & TB, and include rental car agencies Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz & Thrifty.
To get from Monterrey Escobido Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi (pre-paid taxi coupons are available at the taxi counter in Arrivals; Suburban taxi, tel. 081 8352 2511, offers pre-booking), or you can take a shuttle van or a bus: There is a ticket kiosk in Terminal A, domestic arrivals, and in Terminal C next to the Information desk.
1. Express bus service to the City on luxury buses with internet service, restrooms and video, are available at the Airport from SkyBus Valle Oriente to the Valle Oriente bus station, 6am-11pm. Reservations are recommended.
2. Three bus companies operate at the Airport: Autobuses Coahuilenses, Autobuses del Noreste, & Transportes de Norte.
3. Regional buses leave from the Monterrey city bus station and serve: Monclava & Saltillo in Coahuila, Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa & Mataoris in Tamaulipas, and the US cities of Laredo & McAllen in Texas.
