Genova GOA Airport Overview

Genova Cristoforo Colombo Airport GOA - which sits on an artificial peninsula on the Adriatic Sea - serves the Italian area of Liguria and its city of Genoa.

The Airport is 7.4 km west of the city of Genoa, and is accessible from A10 (Exit Aeroporte) and rapid connections via local road and national motorway take you from the Airport to the Rivieras, Piedmont, Lombardy & the Alps. 

With a long runway and an estimated 1.2 million passengers a year, the Airport is served by domestic and international, low-cost and regular airlines, offering daily flights to Rome-Fiumicino, as well as to other European cities, and connections around the world.

The on-Airport Sheraton Genova Hotel (tel. 39 010 65491) with available conference facilities is situated in front of the Terminal.

Parking options at Genova Airport
1. Short-term parking at P3 (Sosta Breve) with 75 spaces, located near the rental car park at Arrival level, the first 30 minutes are free. Its disabled parking spaces are located closest to the terminal;
2. Central parking at P1 with 200 spaces; and
3. Long-term economy parking at remot car park P2 (Lunga Sosta) with 125 spaces (turn right at the roundabout).

To get from Genova Airport to your destination, you can rent a car (Auto Europa, Avis, Sixt,, Easy Car, Europcar, Hertz, Italy by Car, Maggiore & Travelcar), take a taxi or a bus.
1. The taxi rank is in front of the Arrival concourse (or call Radio Taxi at 010 5966). The flat rate to Principe Station is 7 EUR per person, and to Bergnole Station 8 EUR per person – both with a minimum of 3 persons, and an extra 1 EUR applies to Sundays & nighttime.
2. The public bus line Volabus at Genove Airport offers daily runs to/from the Stazione Principe F.S. (Genoa’s Main Train, Bus & Mero Station) from early morning to late evening, every hour, and takes about 20 minutes. From there you can take the bus, subway or urban train called Trenitalia. A 24-hr Volabus ticket at 4 EUR bought on board the bus, entitles you to access the Amt Genove & Trenitali public transport network. You can also buy your ticket at Amt Genova ticket offices, kiosks, automatic ticket machines or at the train station.
