  • Enough time for International connect?
    Apr 24, 2013
    0
We will be traveling from Istanbul, Turkey to Dallas, TX on May 7, 2013 (Friday) with connection in IAH. I am an American citizen but my wife is not (greencard). Our US born daughter (16 months old) will also be traveling with us. Will 1 hour and 45 minutes between flights be enough to clear customs and get from Terminal D to Terminal A to make our connecting flight to Dallas? Also, Orbitz states that the flight from Istanbul will also land in Terminal A, is it possible since Terminal A is not international? Thank you very much in advance!

  • Best Place to meet -Terminals A and D

Hello, my mother is arriving at terminal A from Miami and I am arriving at Terminal D from Qatar at almost the same time (10 min difference). Can you recommend me the best place to meet for her and I? We need to take the same taxi to the hotel. Thank you!

At IAH, on your arrival at Terminal D, you will be directed to the international arrivals building, where you go through customs & take escalator down Baggage Claim Level 1 and from there to Exit Control, then enter to the right the baggage recheck area; then go straight out to the International Arrivals Lobby & Passenger Greeting Area. Have your mother, on arrival, take the inter-terminal train which runs below ground and connects TA, TB, Hotel, TC, D/E outside of security. At T/E she should follow signs to International Arrivals Lobby.

I will be on united express from tucson arriving in terminal B flying out of terminal D on lufthansa. I have about a 5 hour layover. Is it difficult to get to terminal E from D considering E has more things to eat, drink, and shop

While the above-ground TerminaLink train at IAH, which starts its service at the Terminal A station, connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security, the Inter-Terminal Train below-ground connects A, B, Hotel, C, D/E outside security.

  • Conoco Phillips Terminal?

I'm picking up my boyfriend as a surprise but don't know which terminal to pick him up in if he's flying with the Conoco Phillips Private Jet. Anyone know?

Private jets arrive at the FBO, (fixed base operator) - not at any terminal.

My parents and I are arriving at same gate, almost same time from another flight where is the best point to meet them my flight is UA1015 fron camcun theirs is UA1089 from mexico city jan 29/ 13

If IAH is your last stop, I suggest you meet them at the baggage claim carousel. If you continue your journey, look at overhead screens for your party's arrival gate and meet them there.

Since you're both on international flights they won't want you hanging out around the corridors from the gates prior to immigration. Go through immigration and meet them on the other side.

Im flying from LHR to IAH to catch a connection flight to LIT in May. I was just wondering if 2hrs 35mins is enough time to clear immigration and to catch my next flight.

    1. As you did not indicate which airline you arrive at & depart from, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/ then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text. 2. Make sure your first airline will transfer bags to your connecting airline - if not, you need to check in your bag at the departure terminal's airline counter. Either way, you have plenty of time for transfer.

Im Flying with UA both Depart & Arrival. I will be classed as an Alien but do you reckon thats still enough time ? I always get paranoid when flying alone.

My daughter flight out on Delta 9387 from Houston IAH to Amtersdam on 12/29/2012. What terminal she need to check in?

At IAH, Del uses Terminal A (gates 1-15 & 17-30 at either side of the gate area.)

I am picking up someone who is flying an international flight. Is there a place to park and go in? How long does it take to go through customs?

For customs work take at least 2 to 3 hrs in hand, and place is available for parking.

  • From BZE to YEG w/ stop in IAH

I'm going from Belize to Edmonton Canada with a 3 hour layover in IAH. I was wondering if I have to clear US customs upon arrival in IAH and again in YEG. And if so is 3 hours enough time to get between terminals? Flying Air Canada and United

As I do not know which airline you arrive at & depart from, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/iah, click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the detailed text. Note that as an international arrival at IAH, you need to go through TSA & Customs clearance located in the International Arrivals building, accessible from both Terminals E & C. (IAH has Terminals A through E - TD being the International terminal), after customs clearance and baggage re-check, the inter-terminal train (below ground) will take you to your connecting Terminal. As YEG has a US customs agreement, I don't think you will need to go through that process again on arrival at Edmonton. 3 hours at IAH is plenty!

You will have to go trough customs in Canada since the US agreement works when you come back, since you clear US Customs at Edmonton Airport but there ´s no Canadian Customs at Houston. Anyhow you wont have to reckeck your bags since its Int´l to Int´l and you should look up for ONE STOP at IAH since i believe it applies for Int´l to Int´l flight when you dont have to re check luggage.

Does anyone know which hotels near the airport have shuttles that run 24 hours? Thanks

IAH has its own 'Airport Marriott Hotel (tel. 281-443-2310 /800-228-9290), linked to the airside of the terminals. For other options open fly2houston.com/iah-Hotels

  • getting from Term C to B

What's the fastest way to get from Terminal C to B? Is there a walkway connection?

At IAH Airport there is no walkway connection between TC & TB - you need to take the TerminaLink train which runs inside security. Follow signs.

Thank for clarifying... Now, will 50 minutes work? If I get on the train from TC, will it go directly to TB or will it have to go to D, E, A, then B? Worried about connection time - if I miss it, I'm stuck in Houston for the night. Thanks again.

  • Bring pet from Europe to Houston IAH
    Nov 3, 2012
    2
Hi, I would like to bring our "family" dog from Europe to Texas. The dog is about 18 lbs, and being my elderly mother's companion, we would like to arrange for her the safest and least stressful flight to the US. Money is not an issue, as long as she either flies in the cabin with us, or in a "humane" environment. Please help !

Rules regarding taking pets onboard an aircraft differ from airline to airline. Many of them allow dogs (in a kennel) on the seat next to its owner, but charging the second seat. Hopefully someone will drive your mother to the Airport; park the car, find out where the pet relief area is before putting the dog in the kennel and loading it onto a baggage cart located outside the terminal. From there, a Skycap can accompany her & the dog (which is not allowed inside the terminal unless in a kennel) through security check and on to her gate. When making airline reservations, do state all these needs. Also contact your Airport for information.

We're flying from Frankfurt to IAH in December. You can take cats and small dogs in the cabin in a soft carrier bag (you have to be able to fit it under the seat in front for takeoff and landing. KLM and Air France also allows small pets in the cabin. British Airways doesn't. BA is a rip-off for shipping pets.
