i have a flight from lima-Peru to calgary. however i have a connection flight in Houston for 2 h . would this be enough time to go through security checking , picking luggage and all? thanks in advance.
You will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security. You should not have to claim and re-check your bags. You should have just enough time.
I am flying into Houston Airport from San Jose Costa Rica and need to find my connecting flight to Calgary in 90 minutes. My checked baggage is going straight to Calgary so i don't need to pick it up. Can anyone help me out as to how i navigate my way through the Houston airport to find my flight to Calgary. Where i need to go and how to get there? I understand I won't get my departing gate # to Calgary till I have cleared all necessary areas.
You will go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security. Since your bags are checked through you can use Onestop immigration and security. If your flight to Calgary is operated by United it will depart from Terminal B or C and if it is operated by Air Canada it will depart from Terminal A.
Do I have to collect my checked bags for customs???? My flight Houston to Denver is on a different concourse. I'm afraid I won't make my connection to Denver.
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through security, and to your departure gate. That's not realistically enough time for your connection.
I didn't think so. How long does it take to go from Customs, thru security and to Concourse C?
Security is the big issue. It really depends on the time of day. That part alone can take over an hour.
We are traveling from Calagary to New Orleans - through IAH. Land and Depart at Terminal 3. Where do we clear Customs? Is one hour enough time?
Houston does not have a Terminal 3. You will arrive in Terminal B or C and depart from Terminal B or C. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Calgary. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security.
I have a UK passport.. Do I have to go through customs/security? Do I have to collect my baggage? Is this enough time?
So you're flying Panama City->Houston->Frankfurt->London? If so, in Houston you will go through US Immigration, customs, and security. You should not have to claim your luggage if you are on an International to International connection on United, but double check that with United employees in Houston. It's not clear to me how much time you have so I don't know if it's enough.
No not houston i dont mention houston in that message at all
Fri 16th september depart from Panama to frankfurt then 1hour 41min layover Then board a plane from Frankfurt to london Flying with lufthansa Customs? Baggabe reclaim?
Then why did you post your question in the forum for Houston-Interncontinental airport if you're not stopping in Houston? All you have to do in Frankfurt is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Since you're not entering the Schengen Area you don't have to go through passport control.
Ooooo my bad thought i could just ask about any flights here! Thanks!
Hesitating to book a flight because of the short layover at IAH
Saturday 4th June 2016 10:30 LHR London Heathrow 13:30 ORD Chicago O'Hare International
Sunday 5th June 2016 04:55(+1) ORD Chicago O'Hare International 07:43 IAH Houston George Bush Intercntl.
1 hour 21 minute layover
09:04 IAH Houston George Bush Intercntl. 10:54 GUA Guatemala City
Will my bags be checked through to Guatemala? Will I have to go through customs?
Is 1hour 21minutes enough time?
Yes, that is enough time. there is no US Customs when leaving the US. You will just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Houston on your way to Guatemala. You don't have to do anything with your bags there.
my step is traveling from mexico to another overseas destination with change of flight through houston. will he still need a transit visa? if so how would that be obtained. he is traveling on a russian passport....
Since he is a Russian Citizen he will need a transit visa. To get one he needs to contact a US Embassy or Consulate. There is one in Mexico City. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/other/transit.html
