I'm flying from Phoenix to London with a layover in Houston, coming home i'll be flying from London to Houston and then home to Phoenix. Coming home I know I need to go through customs in Houston, but will I need to claim my luggage in Houston and check it in again? I'm flying United. Thank you!
Yes, on your return to the US you will claim your luggage to go through US Customs, then re-check it at the re-check desk immediately after.
I am flyingn with my 4 years old boy from BOG to EWR with connection in IAH. I know i have to go through costums and immigration in IAH. Do i have to get my luggage and recheck it?, if so, Are there any cart services so I dont have to carry all that myself since I am 7 months pregnant? It is scary that I will have to do all that by myself with no help
Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. There are carts to use free of charge in the International baggage claim hall to carry your bags through customs.
Hi! I have a question for Mariana. My 16 year old son (a US Citizen) is traveling BOG-IAH-STL the end of May. I'm wondering how long it took you to get through Immigration/Customs? He has 1 hour and 45 minutes to make his next flight. United assured me that was a valid layover time. But after I booked it I read about the long lines in Houston. Curious your experience since you're flying from Bogotá, also. Thanks for any light you can shed.
HI, I am flying for the first time in June and I have a 55 min layover at IAH to catch a flight to Chile. I have no experience flying or navigating airports. Is 55 minutes enough time to catch my flight? Also, is there anyone that I can ask for help to ensure I don't miss that flight. This particularly worries my because it is a international flight and the final leg of my journey. Thanks!
If your flight into Houston is domestic that is enough time. All gates in Houston are connected inside security. Just follow the signs to your departure gate. Your flight to Chile will depart from Terminal E.
My daughter is flying out of Houston to Europe this summer and I will leave the same day to travel to MT-- Can we go through Airport security together and be in the Airport together before we leave for our respective flights?
Yes, you can. All Terminals and gates are connected inside security.
