Our kids from Idaho are flying to Puerto Rico for a cruise and have a 3 hr layover here. Can we go to the airport and visit them?
Yes, but they will have to exit security to see you and then go back through security before their flight.
Flying from Philly to Puerto Vallarta, MX with a 37 layover through Houston (United Airlines changed the schedule on me) They're telling me it will be enough time. Seems like everything would have to go perfectly. Worried about them losing my bags in the process.Enough time?
Yes, everything does have to go perfectly, but it is possible.
We are flying from Bogota to Dallas, with a layover in Houston of 2 hours. Does airline (United) check luggage directly from BOG to DFW, or is it necessary to make customs and check luggage in again at IAH? if so, Do we have enough time?
In Houston, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
Also, you should have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
looking to book a cancun trip. flight to cancun is direct from seattle. flight from cancun has a layover in IAH. trying to figure out the length of layover should be good. we will likely have checked bags. we are a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids under 10). without having to rush things and allowing time at customs and getting our luggage and re-checking them in, what is a good layover time? 2 hours? 1 hour and 30 mins? 3 hours? i was told i should look for a layover that is at least 2 hours....but there is a (cheaper) flight that has a 90min layover...thoughts?
What airlines are you flying? 2 hours is good. 90 minutes is a little risky but not impossible.
It's Alaska Airlines from Cancun to IAH.
sorry...i meant AMERICAN airlines form Cancun to IAH.
American Airlines does not fly from Cancun to IAH. Please double check what you're looking at.
sorry about that...i have a couple of options...Cancun on AMERICAN to DFW with a 1hr 50 min layover....OR....Cancun on UNITED to IAH with a 1hr 36min layover or a 4hr 29min layover (YIKES!).
Any of those is possible.
Hi I'm coming from Toronto to Houston with a 90 min layover before going from Houston to Auckland. Will I have enough time? Flight is Air New Zealand
Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I will fly from BOS to UIO and connection time at IAH is 1 hour 19 min. Is it enough?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in Houston on your way to Ecuador is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hi! We are flying from Frankfurt to Houston and then to Los Cabos, Mexico. Do you think 90 minutes will be enough or we would need more time, going from Europe to another country through US?

Many thanks.
90 minutes is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I am flying from IND to SJO with a 50 min layover at IAH. I am flying with United. Will this be enough time?
Yes, that is enough time. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Terminal E. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security.
I am flying from Washington Ntl, DC (DCA) to Houston Intercontinental (IAH) with a 48-minute layover in Houston before flying to Tegucigalpa, HN. Do you think I have enough time to make the connecting flight? I'm flying with United Airlines.
Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time.
I have to do a layover in houston. I come from EWar I'm coming from (New Jersey/New york) to IAH and the layover is 45 minutes and i'm going to corpus christi , texas. I don't have to change terminals. Is 45 minutes enough?
You likely will have to change terminals - you will arrive in Terminal C and depart from A or B. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security. You have just enough time if your first flight is on-time.
