Can someone confirm (I cannot find this on the IAH website) that checked luggage is transferred automatically when connecting from international to international in IAH? I travelled IST-IAH-YYC and my checked bag went missing. My luggage tag shows YYC and I even asked for confirmation at the luggage belts in IAH. Thanks!

As far as I know Turkish does not participate in ITI bags, so I believe you will have to claim them in Houston.

That'll explain why I don't have my bag..UGH..Thanks! Still have high hopes of seeing it back though..
Flying from Edmonton, Canada to Houston via United with a 45 min. connection and then another United flight to Raleigh. Will that be enough time to connect from one United flight to another? Do I go through customs in Houston or in Raleigh? Thanks for any help/advice!
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Edmonton. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you need to change terminals the Skyway train connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
We fly from Guatemala City on United 1903 and arrive in Houston. We have 1h40 stopover, then fly on United 5730 to Salt Lake City.
Is the 1h40 stopover enough? We are UK citizens so need to get through immigration.
Do we need to change terminals? I presume bags will go straight through to SLC?
Any help much appreciated!
That is barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security, and take the Skyway train to your departure terminal. You have barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
We have 2 kids - will that allow us to skip to the front of any queues?
Unbelievable that you should even assume that's ok!
I have a 4 year old and a 3 month old. I don't know about you, but in the past I've happily let people go in front of me if they have a plane to catch, or if they have young children (Indeed, many airports immediately automatically put you to the front in those cases). I don't know what it's like at IAH and am just wondering if it will help me deal with the very tight stopover time. No need to be mean!
