  • Terminal A to C

We will be arriving in terminal A and going to terminal C. How long will it take to get there?

10-15 minutes. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.

Today I will be arriving to Houstons airport fron Mex terminal D. I need to catch another flight to turkey Terminal D what shall I do with my baggagge? I do not have my boarding pass

You will have to claim your baggage to pass through US Customs. If you purchased separate tickets you will then have to take it to the Turkish Airlines check-in counter to check for your flight to Istanbul. I hope you have at least 2.5 hours for your connection because that is what is necessary.

  • BWI - IAH - YEG (Connect time 1hr 15 mins, enough?)

I'm flying from Baltimore (BWI) to Edmonton (YEG) with connecting flight time of 1hr 15 mins at IAH. Is this time enough? Please let me know. Many thanks.

Forgot to mention that it's United Flight throughout.

Yes, that should be enough time. If you have to change terminals the TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.

  • UA965-UA4684 transfer time in IAH.

Hello, I am planning a trip to Corpus Christi from Frankfurt. I have 2h27min between flights in IAH (UA965-UA4684). Would it be enough to pass all procedures. Ona way back I have 2h05minutes between the flights (LH8694-LH441). Thanks.

Yes, on the way there that should be enough time. You will arrive in Terminal E, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Immigration, then re-check your bags with United, then go through security and take the TerminaLink train to Terminal B where your corpus christi flight will depart. On your way back all you have to do is after arrival in Terminal B, take the TerminaLink train to Terminal D where your Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt will depart. No security or immigration procedures required.

Would a connection time of 42 minutes be enough to transfer from FLL-IAH (United 1649) to IAH-YYC (United 729)? Thank you!

Yes, that should be enough time. Both flights will likely use Terminal C.

I have my flight from ICN to IAH(KAL) and from IAH to PTY(United). I have only 1h 18m. Will be it enough?

That is significantly below the minimum International -> International connection time, which is 90 minutes. Add to that that KAL and United aren't in the same alliance and it makes it nearly impossible.

I am travelling with United from San Jose (Costa Rica) over IAH (Terminal E) to Frankfurt (Germany). Is 1h 15 minutes enough? Thanks

That's awfully tight. Since you are on an International -> International connection you probably won't have to claim your bags, but you will still have to go through US Immigration, US Customs, and security. It's below the minimum connection time for such a connection. However, there's probably few rebooking options.

    Thank you ZAP!!

  • Access to Global Entry Office at IAH - E

Hello, I have an interview for the Global Entry program in Terminal E. The day of the appointment I will be arriving from Mexico. It is possible to get to the Global Entry program office after passing immigration? The office is located by the Gates on Terminal E (inside the secure area). In other words, once I clear immigration, it is possible to go back to the gates? There is an area to drop your luggage for connecting flights but I am not sure if because this is an international flight people has to pass security again. Once I leave the secure are I will not have a boarding pass to go back. thanks Unfortunately the office located outside terminal E does not have appointments available

You will not be able to access the secure side of the airport once you clear customs. If you really want that appointment, you could buy a refundable ticket for later in the day, use its boarding pass to go through security, do the interview, then cancel the check in and refund the ticket.

Thanks, let me ask you a second question: Once I print the boarding pass, it is possible to cancel the ticket for a full refund? it seems like at that point it wold be too late... do you know?

Yes, you can cancel your check-in and then refund the ticket. Note that you have to do this before the flight's scheduled departure.

I have 50 mins connection time between flights from FLL and SEA will I make it and will my checked bags? any idea which terminals United flights I think?

Both flights will likely be in Terminal C. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Traveling from chicago to Houston international airport terminal C and transfer to terminal E to morelia, Is .30 minutes enough time to go from terminal C to terminal E ?

Yes, it is enough time if your first flight is on-time but leaves little to no time in the case of delays.

Hi, I will land in International Terminal E from London Heathrow at 14:40 with British Airways. We are then catching a United flight at 15:54 to Cancun, is that enough time to connect to this flight? I'm not sure which terminal the Cancun flight will leave from. Many thanks

Your British Airways flight will actually arrive in D. Your Cancun flight will leave from E. That is NOT enough time as you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, get your United boarding passes, and re-check your bags, and go through security. 1 hr 14 mins is totally not enough time to do all that.

I will be arriving from Colorado springs from terminal b and have to catch my next flight in terminal c to Austin teaxs and its 53minutes between lay over. is there going to be enough time to make it to my next flight? is there a shuttle that can take me the terminal c?

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.

  • Terminal D to Terminal A?
    Aug 31, 2014

I am travelling into Houston Terminal D (BA) which lands at 14:30 from LHR. I'm considering getting a connecting flight from Terminal A, which would leave at 16:45. I've read about long queues at immigration - I am an American but am travelling with a non-American, so am aware of long waits. I'm guessing it's incredibly unlikely that we'd make this connecting flight? How long does it take to travel to Terminal A? Should we be anticipating 2h waits at customs? Thanks!

I would not expect 2 hour waits at immigration. However, since you are planning on booking a separate ticket, you may have to transfer the bags from Terminal A yourself and you will have to take the Inter-Terminal Train which is much slower than the TerminaLink train. I would leave 3 hours for your transfer.
