i am a Nigerian arriving IAH airport Terminal D with Lufthansa from Frankfurt by 1405 h of 2nd march 2016 . PLS HOW DO I CONNECT TO TERMINAL A TO BOARD DELTA TO KANSAS CITY

After you clear US Customs, if your bags are not checked through to Delta, you will have to take the SubWay train to Terminal A to re-check them at the Delta check-in counter and go through security there.

I will arrive at IAH from SFO and have one hour to connect to my flight to Peru. How much time does it take to get from the domestic terminal to the international terminal.

You will arrive in Terminal C or E and depart from Terminal E. It shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes to get between gates.

US. Citizen who will be flying from Puerta Vallartato with a layover in Houston and final destination Tampa. Do I have to go through customs in Houston or Tampa?

In Houston you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate in Terminal C.

Hi there! I am a US citizen, flying from San Jose Cabo airport in Mexico through Houston, on to Liberia in Costa Rica. I have a two hour layover in IAH. And it is all through one airline, United. Do you think this will be enough time? Will I need to go through customs? Or can I simply go directly to the gate that'll take me to Costa Rica?

You will go through US Immigration, customs, and security. You should not have to claim your bags since you are on an international to international connection. You have enough time.

    Cheers!! Thank you!

One more question :) Will I need to leave security and go back through another security/TSA line? Or just through customs, etc....straight to my departure gate?

You will have to go through security.

Hello, I am considering flying from Toronto (Air Canada Jazz) to Lima (United) with a 1h23m stopover in Houston. Will this be enough time to make the flight? Is it be necessary to go though security/customs and or baggage claim in Houston? Thanks.

You will preclear US immigration and customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate in Terminal A to your departure gate in terminal E. The skyway train connects all terminals inside security

Hello, I am Ukrainian and will be flying from San Jose, Costa Rica to IAH on United, then plan to catch Lufthansa Airlines to Frankfurt 5 hours later. Do I need a transit VISA and do I need to collect my luggage?

Yes, you will need a transit visa but since you are on an International to International connection you should not have to claim your luggage.

I am a UK citizen flying with United Airlines Tampa to London Heathrow via Houston with a 90 min stopover. Do we need to go through passport control, baggage reclaim and security at Houston? Will the stopover time be sufficient? Do we need to change terminals?

There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You will likely arrive in Terminal C and depart from Terminal E. They are connected inside security by a walkway.

I have a flight Nassua to IAH with a connection to Boston. Only 50 minutes between flights. If I go through US Customs at Nassua do I have to go thru again at IAH? I'm already expecting to have to get from Terminal E to Terminal C in that time. Thanks,

No, you do not have to go through Immigration again in Houston - that is the point of preclearance. You will likely actually arrive in Terminal C. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Yes, that should be enough time.

    Thank you

I am flying YVR-IAH-GIG (Rio de Janeiro) and have an 8 hour layover in Houston. Can I leave the airport and go into the city? I assume I'd need to clear security again to re-enter.

Yes, you can go into the city, but keep in mind that it's nearly an hour each way and not much to do when you get there.

Yes, in Houston you will go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security, but as long as both flights are on United you won't have to claim your bags since you are on an International to International connection.
