First Time Flight PassagerMar 27, 201210I am arriving on 4/28/12 on United from COS flight 5232 and connecting on United 4714 and only have 55 minutes to transfer. Could you help me with terminal connections or information on the airport.***posted on Tue, Mar 27[ Reply ][ Like ]Flight numbers at IAH are only posted for the present day. However, note that United serves Terminals A, B, C & international Terminal E. Look at your ticket (and on overhead screen on arrival) to see which terminal & gate you arrive / depart from: TA has gates A1-30; TB gates 60-88; TC gates C14-45; TE gates E1-24. If arriving at gates C29-45 you can walk to TE by walking towards gates C14-24 and proceeding straight to TE. The above-ground TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security. 55 mins is enough time.tumar12posted on Tue, Mar 27

Getting from TA to TDMar 25, 201210I will be arriving on Continental Express at Terminal B and departing on Delta from Terminal D. I will have to retrieve my luggage after arriving at IAH. Is there any way to retrieve luggage and stay in the secure area? If not, what's the best way to get to Terminal D?Pharmposted on Sat, Mar 24

Terminal E Connection FlightMar 22, 201233we are landing from Frankfurt at IAH Terminal E, the connecting is 55 min. later also from Terminal E, any problmes with that regarding customs ore other procedures? Thanks!Maxposted on Wed, Mar 213 people like this post [ Like ]its me again Max: the flights are all united airlines flights, so the bags should be check direct to the final destinationMaxposted on Wed, Mar 211 As an international arrival at IAH, you will be processed at the The International Arrivals building (part of TE), accessible from both TE and TC, with separate US Customs. Arriving passengers go through customs & take the escalator down to Baggage Claim Level 1. From there they go through Exit Control and enter to the right the baggage recheck area, and straight out arrive at the International Arrivals Lobby - this area also has an escalator down to the inter-terminal train serving Terminals A, B & C. There is also a tunnel to Terminal D. (Terminals A, B & C are domestic terminals). 55 mins is very tight!wemar12posted on Wed, Mar 21Thanks for your quick answer. so as an international arrival you will always be processed by customs and go through exit control, correct? And then went all the way down through the baggage claims to get back to terminal E, were we started? No transit areas or some like that for direct connections to an other destination?Maxposted on Thu, Mar 22

Need adviceMar 20, 201210Hi--I will be arriving on United and flying out on Qatar with 1 hour, 19 min in between....any advice as to which terminals I will be using? I don't have my gates, etc, yet. Thanks!djtndogposted on Tue, Mar 201. At IAH, United uses Terminals A (TA) (gates A1-30; TB (gates B60-88) & TC (gates C14-45. Look at your ticket to see which gate you arrive at/ depart from. Qatar uses TD (gates D1-12) If you arrive at C gates there is a connection between gates C14-C24 to gates D1-3. Your time is sufficient. You can also take the above-ground TerminaLink train which connects all terminals inside security.tumar12posted on Tue, Mar 20

Enough timeMar 19, 201210Hi. I am arriving at 13.30 from London with United airlines on 31st of march 2012 in terminal E. I got one hour to recheck baggage and go through customs and get to terminal C to catch a united airlines flight to Los Angeles, do I have enough time?Charlotteposted on Sun, Mar 181. You will be processed at at IAH Airport in the International Arrivals building (part of TE), where you go through customs & take the escalator down to Baggage Claim Level 1. From there you go through Exit Control and enter to the right the baggage recheck area, and straight out arrive at the International Arrivals Lobby, where you take the escalator down to the inter-terminal train, to Terminal C - there you need to go through security check again before proceeding to your connecting gate. One hr is very tight - hurry.PilotJoeposted on Mon, Mar 19

Terminal C of Houston Intercontinental has gate areas east, where gates C14-24 connect to Terminal D gates 1-3; (TC also has west gates C29-45, which only connect to Terminal E). 2. The above-ground TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.sumar12posted on Sun, Mar 18

time enough?Mar 17, 201220In June our flight lands from Cozumel at 2:34 pm and our next flight (both United) leaves at 3:40. Is this enough time and what is the best way to get from one flight to the other going to TUL. Thankstlblanposted on Fri, Mar 16On arrival at IAH you need to be processed at the the International Arrivals building (part of TE)which can be accessed from both TE and TC, with separate US Customs. Arriving passengers go through customs & take the escalator down to Baggage Claim Level 1. From there they go through Exit Control and enter to the right the baggage recheck area, and straight out arrive at the International Arrivals Lobby, which has an escalator down to the Inter-Terminal Train taking you to your connecting terminal. 2. You arrive at Terminal E and depart most likely from Terminal C, which has gates C14-24 east & C29-45 west. These gates are also connected by walkway to Terminal E. Since United & Continental are now merged into "United", your connecting flight could also be at TA or TB (check your ticket and on arrival check your flight number and gate of departure. An hour is enough time to transfer.samar12posted on Sat, Mar 17

Tranfer from Cancun to SeattleMar 13, 201210Do I have enough time to collect my baggage and get through customes with only a 1 hour layover? What happens if we don't make it to our flight in time? WIll they hold the flight for us?RoseJposted on Tue, Mar 13Your international arrivals procedure takes at least 35-45 mins. Add another 15 mins to get to your connecting terminal & gate; 1 hour is way too short. This is what you have to do when arriving at IAH: The International Arrivals building (part of TE)at IAH can be accessed from both TE and TC, with separate US Customs. Arriving passengers go through customs & take the escalator down to Baggage Claim Level 1. From there they go through Exit Control and enter to the right the baggage recheck area, and straight out arrive at the International Arrivals Lobby and the Exits. This area also has an escalator down to train, Terminals A, B & C and the tunnel to Terminal D, the International Arrivals Lobby & Passenger Greeting Area. You need to look at your ticket and on arrival at the overhead screens to find your departing flight and gate. Then take the below-ground inter-terminal train to your connecting terminal, go through security check & on to your gate.tumar12posted on Tue, Mar 13

Change in Houston for Mexico flightMar 13, 201210I fly tomorrow from Seattle to Houston and then on to Mexico. Originally w/Continental, now United. Wondering how chaotic this will be, how far apart the terminals. Where to Change money in terminal?northwestyposted on Tue, Mar 13Continental & United are in several terminals - you need to look at your ticket to see which terminal you arrive / depart from. This is the gate layout of the terminals and their respective airlines: Terminal A (TA) A gates (Air Canada, Alaska, American, Continental, Delta, US Airways) have gates A1-15 & A17-30. TB's B gates (Continental) have 4 gateways at each of its corners, leading to gates 60-66, 68-75, 76-83 & 84-88. TC's TC gates (Continental, United) are divided into east gates C14-24 & west gates C29-45 . TD's D gates (AeroMexico, AirFrance, British, Emirates, KLM, Lufthansa, Qatar, Singapore, TACA, VivaAerobus) are opposite TE and have gates D1-3 (with a connection to C14-C24) and D4-12. TE's E gates (United/ Continental) have one one side gates E12-24, on the opposite side E1-11. If arriving at gates C29-45 and transferring to Terminal E: walk towards gates C14-24 and proceed straight on to TE. Note that the above-ground TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.tumar12posted on Tue, Mar 13

Changing flights United to CopaMar 13, 201210I am in a group of 11 flying into IAH on July 12 on United flight 1283 and out 38 minutes later on COPA 1932. What gate do we arrive at and what gate to we leave from? Is 38 minutes enough to make the transfer? Can our luggage make the transfer?BJonesposted on Mon, Mar 121. I find no COPA listing at IAH site - it might be operated by another airline? 2. United arrives in Terminal C, which is divided into east C14-24 and west gates C29-45 and connects at gate area to TE. Presuming your COPA flight departs from either the International Terminals D or E, you can take the above-ground TerminaLink train connecting all terminals inside security. If arriving at gates C29-45 and transferring to Terminal E: walk towards gates C14-24 and proceed straight on to TE. Gates D1-3 of Terminal E connect to gates C14-2. 38 mins is extremely tight.tumar12posted on Tue, Mar 13

B to C in 40 mins?Mar 13, 201220I am travelling my with children (10 years and 2 years) to see my family in Portland (our connection is IAH Houston) we arrive in Terminal B and Depart from Terminal C with 40 minutes between flights. I have 3 carry-ons plus my laptop and daughter's car seat. What's the best way to make such a quick connection, is it possible?ShayHardyposted on Fri, Mar 9You say you have a connection at Houston Intercontinental to Portland - I assume you arrive and IAH from another airport, as a domestic arrival (if international arrival you would have to spend at least 45 mins for customs procedures). Note that you can only have one carry-on per ticketed passenger (including your 2-year-old - if he/she will occupy a paid seat). At your original departure airport, make sure that the bags you may check in have all three airport codes on their tags so that they automatically arrive in Portland. That said, on arrival in Terminal B, take the above-ground TerminaLink train which connects the terminals inside security. Follow signs. You can make it timewise!samar12posted on Sat, Mar 10Thank you, We are flying from Richmond (VA); I wasn't sure how we could make that connection and was beginning to get paranoid. As the map showed it's quite a distance. I wasn't sure if it was going to be possible to make the connection in such a short time frame. Thank you for your help!ShayHardyposted on Tue, Mar 13
