We are flying back from Memphis to Houston then on to Heathrow October 22nd. Our connection time at Housten is 1hr and 49 mins . Is this enough time ? We are flying with United. Thanks

That is plenty of time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You will likely arrive in Terminal B and depart from Terminal E. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.

I am a U.S. citizen and will be flying from SJD to IAH on August 12, 2015. I will be traveling with carry on luggage only. I've read about One Stop but I've also heard that it is only for visitors and non-US citizens. Is this true? Will I be able to use the One Stop line to move faster?

As far as I know, US Citizens can use OneStop.

Landing at term C connection at term E. How many minutes between terminals and do I take subway or train link.

You would probably walk and it would probably take 10-15 minutes. Just follow the signs.

My flight leaves from terminal D. If I arrive early can I walk to terminal c? I saw the map and saw they were connected. TO be more specific from one of the gates at D to C14-23? If I can walk, how long will it take?

Yes, once you are inside security you can actually go to any terminal or gate that you want by either walking or using the TerminaLink train.

oh thank you so much for the fast reply? could you please point ut how much estimated time it would take to walk from the D gates to C14?

    10-15 minutes probably.

    Thank you soo much

I'm considering a return flights with United from SJU to DEN with transfer in IAH. Do I have to go through customs in IAH? Layover is only 53min, will this be enough time? (with understand that flights are on time). Thank you.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I am a US citizen with valid passport.

There is no US Immigration and Customs when going to or from Puerto Rico to the United States. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Puerto Rico is considered domestic.

I'm European travelling to Mexico. Connecting flight arrives in IAH terminal C at 16:55 and departs terminal B at 17:35 (40 min layover). will I have enough time to make my connecting flight?

That's enough time but it depends on your first flight arriving on time. Terminal C and Terminal B are connected inside security by the TerminaLink train.

I will be landing in Houston at 9:24AM from Denver on July 17, my connecting flight to PIT takes off at 10:24AM will I have enough time to be able to get to the right gate and make that flight? Will it be a tight connection or time to stop and get some food that I can take and eat on the flgiht to PIT?

If your flight arrives on-time you'd probably have time to grab some fast food in Houston. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security if you need to change terminals.

  • Transfer time from BA to United

The plan is to fly into IAH at 14:00, and then transfer to a United flight which departs at 18:05 to Monterrey, Mexico. I s there a fast way through, or do I have to "immigrate" to the US, then check in again for the second flight? Would I have to collect my checked luggage as well. I'm buying the flights from Expedia, but the airlines are not "friends".

You will have to go through US Immigration and customs regardless. You will arrive in Terminal D go through US Immigration, claim your bags, and go through US Customs, if you purchased your tickets together and your bags are tagged through to MTY you can re-check your bags at the re-check desk, otherwise you will have to bring them to a United check-in counter to re-check, get your United boarding pass, and go through security. You will likely depart from Terminal B. you have enough time.

I will be flying from SJD to BWI, with a layover at IAH. I will be arriving at terminal E. I will have only carry-on luggage. After clearing customs and immigration do I need to go through TSA security again? Or can I go straight to my connecting flight? Also, what is faster... Automated Passport Control or OneStop?

Yes, you will have to go through Security after Immigration and Customs. Onestop is almost always the fastest.

Looking to book flights through Houston. United from Heathrow with connection to Cancun 1hr 35 mins later also with United. Will we need to deal with our baggage or just pass through security?

No need to ask the same question twice.

My parents are arriving to US for first time from HYD. They land at IAH around 4.35 PM in Terminal D, They have to pass through immigration, pick luggage pass through customs and drop luggage internally. Then they have to move to terminal A for connecting flight to PHX which is at 6.15 PM. Will they have enough time, Is internal baggage drop close by, Any information on the levels or additional tips would be helpful.

Were there tickets bought on the same reservation? If so they can drop their bags immedilately after clearing customs in Terminal D. Otherwise they will have to bring them on the Inter-Terminal Train to Terminal A to Re-check. They barely have enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Thanks for the reply, Tickets were bought on the same reservation. Hoping immigration and customs does not take long.

I'm flying into IAH with United early morning and have 1 hour 35 minutes to make the connection to Toronto. Is that enough time?

    Forgot to mention I'm Canadian.

Yes, that should be enough time. You shouldn't have to claim your baggage in Houston since you are on an International to International connection but you will have to go through US Immigration and Customs and Security.

i am Canadian flying from toronto to pvr change planes iah (one hour connecting time) I arrive termnial c and depart terminal e. Just wondering if i have to go through customes again, collect luggage, and if i have enough time

You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Toronto. All you have to do in IAH is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You will go through Mexican immigration and customs when you get to Puerto Vallarta.

I'll be arriving in Houston from Kansas City and have 1 hour 15 minutes to catch my flight to Guatemala City. I'm guessing it will be a different terminal. Will that be enough time?

Yes, that is enough time. All terminals at IAH are connected inside security by the TerminaLink train.
