Hi, I'm connecting for the first time at IAH with the 1h10min connection coming from Toronto going to São Paulo on United flights. Do I have to go through customs and immigration? Would 1h10 min be enough time? I have a Brazilian passport with US visa. In case I have to go through customs, I could avoid it by having carry-on only (not ideal, but possible). Thank you so much
You pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time.
Thank you so much!! What if the first fight leaves from YXU (London, Ontario, Canada), so the clearance should be done in London, to Toronto to IAH then to São Paulo (my husband case) all the same ticket bought from United. Is it the same as if leaving from Toronto (my case)? Thank you again!

In that case your Preclearance will be done in Toronto. There is no Preclearance in London.
Traveling from SFO on United 2405 @ 6 a.m. to YYZ with stopover in Houston. Do I clear customs in Houston or on arrival in Toronto? Do I need to pick up my bag or does it go directly to Toronto. Also, do I have sufficient time to walk.
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Houston. You go through Canadian Immigration and Customs in Toronto.
My flight to Houston gets in at 4:46 pm and I have a flight to Puebla, Mexico leaving at 5:35pm. I know 49 minutes is enough time to get from my arrival terminal to my departure terminal (carry on bags only)-- but because this second flight is international, is this enough time? Is there anything I have to do besides get from my arrival terminal to my departure terminal? Thank you!
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US.
