Hello, I am looking at flying Washington _Houston to Nicaragua all on the same airline . UNITED. The layover is just over 1 hour. I am am
Also on an Australian passport. Is this enough time to catch the connecting flight, and where do I do immigration clearance?.

Thank s.
There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Houston. You have enough time.
I has an employee who will be flying from Mexico City to Panama City with a connection through Houston. She only has a single entry US Visa (she is Panamanian) which was used already. My question is, will she need to clear US customs in Houston when it's just a connection?
Yes, she will have to go through US Immigration and Customs in Houston. She will need a new US Visa (preferably a multiple-entry transit visa).
Hi, I am flying to/from Australia to central america, via the USA. I've just booked United flights which are fine outbound, but my return to Australia has me flying Managua, Houston, LAX, Melbourne Australia - it seems that the booking incorrectly stated, by an hour, how long we'd have to connect in Houston and LAX. We arrive in Houston from Managua at 17:20 and depart at 19:15 for LAX (the booking incorrectly says this is 2hrs 50 when it's 1:50). Will this be sufficient to clear customs, transit, etc.? We're both on Australian passports....
Oh - and will we need to collect out bags at Houston before connecting to LAX? I know LAX usually makes you do this...
Yes, that should be just enough time. Yes, Since you are flying domestically first before leaving the country, you will have to claim your bags in Houston.
I'm arriving at IAH via Air NZ at 1.55pm. Can I clear Immigration and Customs (I have a US e-passport) and catch a United flight to Atlanta by 4.20pm? Or is that cutting it too close?
Yes, that should be enough time if both flights are on the same reservation.
I am traveling from Queretaro Mexico to LGA with a layover in Houston. How much layover time do I need to make connection fairly safely ?
I recommend at least 2 hours, so closer to 3 hours if you want to play it safe.
Hi, I'm connecting for the first time at IAH with the 1h10min connection coming from Toronto going to São Paulo on United flights. Do I have to go through customs and immigration? Would 1h10 min be enough time?
I have a Brazilian passport with US visa.
In case I have to go through customs, I could avoid it by having carry-on only (not ideal, but possible).
Thank you so much
You pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time.
Thank you so much!!
What if the first fight leaves from YXU (London, Ontario, Canada), so the clearance should be done in London, to Toronto to IAH then to São Paulo (my husband case) all the same ticket bought from United. Is it the same as if leaving from Toronto (my case)?
Thank you again!
In that case your Preclearance will be done in Toronto. There is no Preclearance in London.
Hi, is 1h 25min enough time to go through customs and catch my flight flying to and from Panama City via IAH on a European passport?
That will be very difficult unless everything goes perfectly.
Traveling from SFO on United 2405 @ 6 a.m. to YYZ with stopover in Houston. Do I clear customs in Houston or on arrival in Toronto? Do I need to pick up my bag or does it go directly to Toronto.
Also, do I have sufficient time to walk.
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Houston. You go through Canadian Immigration and Customs in Toronto.
I am arriving to E Concourse from Calgary & have 50 minutes to transfer to C Concourse to Atlanta GA. Is this efficient time?
You will probably not arrive in Concourse E. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Flying Southwest - is 50 minutes sufficient time to deplane and board a connecting flight?
Southwest doesn't fly to Houston-Intercontinental. They fly to Houston-Hobby. That's enough time for a connection at Houston-Hobby.
