  • getting from B to C

What is the most efficient way to get from Terminal B to Terminal C? Does one have to go through Security again? Is 39 minutes enough time?

At IAH the above-ground TerminaLink train, starts its service at the Terminal A station, ad connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security - you have enough time.

Flying from Birmingham to San Diego on United changing planes with 21 minutes between flights. The airline changed my flight with this new time. Is it even possible?

It's possible but it will depend on your first flight getting in on-time or preferably early and running. If you call United they should put you on a later flight to SAN or earlier flight from BHM free of charge due to the schedule change. Or, alternatively they could re-book you to connect in Denver if that works better.

  • Connecting flight time
    Sep 23, 2013
I´ll arrive from Dallas (UA 5265) at 8:26PM with a connecting flight to Rio de Janeiro (UA 129) departing at 21:10PM. Do you think Its a doable connecting time? tks

That's very tight. Flights are frequently delayed late in the day. You will arrive in Terminal B and depart from Terminal E, which are connected beyond security by the TerminaLink Train. If you miss your connection you'll be spending the night and the whole next day in Houston.

We are flying into Houston from San Fran this Thursday and only have a 42 min to connect to another flight headed out to this even doable?

Yes, that should be doable. You will arrive in Terminal C or E and depart from E, which are all connected beyond security.

I forgot to say I am flying United.

  • Need terminal information

How do I know which terminal I am flying from tomorrow, domestic flight from IAH? I see if I am flying from terminal A I have to check my bags at B. and that TSA is at terminal C only? Can this be right?

What flight numbers are you on and from what cities? There is TSA inspection in every terminal and ALSO every terminal is connected beyond security by the TerminaLink train.

  • B to E with 36 minute layover
    Sep 23, 2013
I am flying on 9/25/13 from St Louis to Cozumel with a 36-minute layover at IAH and will have to get from Terminal B to E. I know that this is extremely tight, but are the odds in favor of making or missing the flight?

That's tight but doable, you'll take the TerminaLink train and have to run. Unfortunately if you miss your connection there's no later flights to Cozumel that day.

  • from E to B84 in 30 min
    Sep 18, 2013
what are the option to make my conncetion on time?

Well, first hope your first flight is on-time, then take the TerminaLink Train and run. If your arrival into E is an international flight I really don't think you can make that connection. However, not many domestic flights arrive into E. How are you so sure you'll be arriving in E?

it's a UAL flight from OKC sched in 12:?? - my wife is on the flight E is what they told her in OKC I can get the nbr would that help?

UAL flight 1598 is showing early by :25 in to E15 UA4592 B84H on sched

Yes, that would be one of the rare domestic flights that arrived into E. Since the flight arrived early she'll have over 40 minutes for her connection. Still tight, but doable.

  • IAD to IAH To SAT
    Sep 17, 2013
I am coming in on united from IAD going to SAT on United have an hour layover will I have enough time

At IAH, United uses Terminals A, B, C for domestic flights. Today's listing of UA's arrival from IAD is at gate C18; and departure from gate E16. The above-ground TerminaLink train, which starts its service at the Terminal A station, connects terminals A, B, C inside security - follow signs. You have enough time.

Both of your flights will likely be in Terminal C. I don't know where tusep is getting his info as United has numerous IAD-IAH and IAH-SAT flights. If you do have to change terminals, the TerminaLink train does connect all terminals inside security.

  • terminal D to E
    Sep 15, 2013
can people travel from international use the above ground transportation so they don't need to go through security again for the connecting flight? Is the above ground transportation easy to find for an non-English speaking person? Thanks!

At IAH, International Arrivals arrive either at Terminals D or E. From there they go through secure corridors, walk across the sky bridges to adjoining Federal Inspection Services (FIS), where they will claim baggage & clear U.S. Customs. If continuing your journey, re-check in your bags at the recheck counters and proceed to the Arrivals Lobby, which has an escalator down to the Inter-Terminal Train taking you to your connecting terminal.

  • ATL to IAH to Lake Charles,la-- 48 minute layover
    Sep 10, 2013
is 48 minutes enough time to make this connection?

Yes, if your first flight is on-time and you hurry. Most ATL-IAH arrivals are in B (although a few are in C). Your IAH-LCH flight will leave from A-North. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals beyond security.

  • Immigration Wait Time
    Sep 9, 2013
We are on UA, and will be travelling from Costa Rica connecting in IAH, onto Chicago, on Sept 16. We arrive IAH at 11:20A and depart for Chicago at 1:26P. There is 2 hours between flights. Is that enough time to pass through Immigration. Thanks

Yes, that should be enough time. Also, if you miss your connection, United has hourly flights between Houston and Chicago, so you have ample opportunity for re-booking.

  • PHL to IAH to MGA
    Sep 8, 2013
I am wondering about booking a flight from PHL to MGA (Nicaragua) and there is a connecting flight in IAH...its only 50 minutes. Will I have enough time to get from the terminal where my plane lands from PHL to get to the terminal where my flight leaves for Nicaragua (MGA)?

If your PHL-IAH flight is on United it will arrive in Terminal C, if it's on US Airways it will arrive in Terminal A. Your Managua flight will depart from Terminal E. Either way if your first flight is on-time you should have enough time. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals beyond security and you can walk from C to E.

Both IAH & MGA are served by American (at IAH Terminal A - TA), Delta (TA), Spirit (TA), TACA (TD) & United (TA,B,C& E). The TerminaLink train runs between TA & TD/E at post-security - between TA & TD it takes 30 mins. You should have enough transfer time.

Disregard what susep just said, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

So I won't have enough time?

No, that part's fine, he was just very confusing talking about airlines that you aren't flying. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • is 30 minutes enough time between flights from Chicago to Roatan?
    Sep 7, 2013
arriving from Chicago in terminal C at 12:22 and departing terminal E to Roatan at 12:52. is that enough time? what if I miss it?

That's very tight. You'll have to hope your flight from Chicago is on-time or early. If you miss your flight you'll be spending the night in Houston as the 12:52 is the last flight to Roatan.

In fact, if you miss your flight you may have to be rebooked through San Pedro Sula the following day as it appears the Roatan flight doesn't even operate every day.

    Sep 7, 2013
Hi!,My dad doesnt. speak any English, he is travelling from China to Houston, his flight land in terminal D, and he has to go to terminal C for his next flight. Does anyone know how to go to terminal C without security check again? Thanks! the above groundtransportation.. how to find it??? is it like a train or a bus?

He will have to go through security after he goes through immigration, claims his bag, customs, and re-checks his bag. However, once he goes back through security, Terminals D and C are connected without a shuttle - they're directly connected.
