I'm am leaving from chicago Ord to IAH For a connecting flight in 36 mins to MEX city. Will I have enough time?
do I need to go to customs before boarding to costa rica. where is customs in the airport I only have a 35 min. layover
There is no US Customs when leaving the US.
Is there a secure place at IAH to store your luggage while leaving the airport during a short layover? We would like to leave our bags for a few hours if possible. Thanks!
Maybe you could pay the on-site hotel to hold your bags. But other than that, there is no baggage storage.
Is 52 minutes sufficient time to make a connecting flight to Mexico?
If the first flight is domestic and both flights are on the same reservation, yes it is enough time.
I am flying out of Calgary on a WestJet flight and have a 1:25 layover and get on a United flight to New Orleans is that enough time do I have to clear customs? My other option is a 2:45 layover but I’d rather get there on the earlier flight if it’s enough time.
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Calgary. Do you have checked bags or not? With checked bags you need the longer layover since you will have to transfer them yourself.
Yes I will have check bags. So I will have to pick up my checked baggage from WestJet and check them in again for my united fight?
Yes, you do.
Thanks for the info Zap
I will help make the trip easier...
Hi, In December, I will be traveling from Quinto to San Francisco on United, with a connecting flight in IAH. I know that I will need to go through customs in IAH, retrieve my checked luggage and re check them for the domestic portion of my flight to SFO.

I am a US citizen and will arrive at 5:55am. I have two United flight to choose from for the SFO leg, one departs at 7:50 am the other at 9:40 am.

How much time should I allocate to ensure I have enought time to make my connection? Welcome your help to determine which IAH to SFO flight I should book.

THANKS!
The 7:50 flight should be possible.
Thanks ZAP!

What is the average time needed to get through customs, recheck luggage & get to connecting departure gate? Actual travel date is close to Christmas and wondering if holiday travel would impact the avg time through customs at that hour of the morning. THX
Coming home from Ecuador to San Francisco on United with stop in IAH. Will 1 hr 55 min layover be sufficient to clear customs to make connecting flight? Or should I choose the longer layover of 4 hrs?
2 pieces of checked luggage to transfer
Arrival at IAH at 6 AM, Departure United choices for SFO are at 7:50 am or 9:40 am
The 7:50 flight should be possible.
We are connecting to a flight to Santiago and have a little over an hour to transfer planes. Do you think that is enough time?
Yes, if the first flight is domestic and both flights are on the same reservation that is enough time.
I am flying from quito to calgary with one stop on houston. Is 1hr,55min enough time in houston? I have to do customs and migration in houston. I get there by 6am and leave by 7: 50am, how busy are those hours??
Thanks
Yes, in Houston you will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security. You have enough time if the flight from Quito is on-time.
Hi,
We are flying from Canada to Lima, Peru, via first Denver, then IAH on a connected ticket. The Denver flight is scheduled to arrive just 30 minutes before the IAH flight to Peru. That seems very tight. Should we be concerned?
It is tight, but all you have to do in IAH is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
