Is 35 minutes enough to connect when arriving from denver to IAH and then to Bogota,Colombia ..?are national terminal arrivals far from international departures...?

    Flying United for all flights

    bags will be automatically transferred...?

Yes, your baggage will be automatically transferred. You will likely arrive in C and depart from E, which are connected by walkways.

  • How do I get from Terminal E to A
    Aug 8, 2013

My plane arrives at terminal E and I need to get to Terminal A for my other flight as soon as possible. How do I do that in the simplest way?

The TerminaLink Train runs between them on the secure side of the terminal and the Inter-Terminal Train runs between them on the non-secure side.

At IAH, the above-ground TerminaLink train starts its service at the Terminal A station, and connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security (allow for 30 mins transfer from A to D (D & E are connected by tunnel).

  • Disabled and connection

I am flying UA flight 6246 from OKC - IAH - BWI on Sunday August 18th. I have a connecting flight from OKG to IAH getting in at 4:53pm and a departure of 7:03pm on UA flight 1286. Is this enough time between flights as I am disabled and haven't flown in over 8 years. MY flight 1268 is a Canada Air flight. I'm not sure what terminals I will be flying into or departing from in IAH,

Wile United Airlines uses Terminals A, B, C & E, Air Canada uses Terminal A. (all terminals have corresponding gates, i.e., gate C14 in Terminal C). The above-ground TerminaLink train, which starts its service at the Terminal A station, connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security. On arrival, just look for the train sign. If you need a wheelchair, notify United as soon as possible. Your bags will be automatically transferred.

San Diego (SAN) to Houston (IAH) by UNITED arives at 2:35 pm Houston (IAH) to Frankfurt (FRA) Lufthansa 441Departs 4:10pm Is 1:35 min enough???

United could arrive at either Concourses A, B or C, while Lufthansa departs from Concourse D. On arrival, look for the TerminaLink train sign. The train starts at Concourse A station and connects to TD - all inside security. You have enough time.

  • have 30 min connection is E connected to C to make a run for it?

I am flying into IAH from HNL thurs am flt 200, arrive 815am looks like usually terminal C, flight to panama city PTY terminal E at 851 am, will i make it? (will my luggage? ;) )

That time seems to be inadequate, as you need to be at your connecting gate at least 15 mins prior to departure (depending on Airline rules). At IAH, the above-ground TerminaLink train, which starts its service at the Terminal A station, connects terminals TA, B, C, D/E inside security (allow for 30 mins transfer from TA to TD) A tunnel connects TD to TE, arriving at TE at center (gates E1-E11 left, gates E12-24 right). If you booked your 2 flights on one ticket, your bags should be automatically transferred to the connecting flight. Check with your first airline.

It's possible. C and E are actually connected directly, you don't have to take a train. You should have enough time but you'll have to hurry.

Thanks so much for your replies! It really helped!

Fisrt time traveling to cancun. Traveling from boston to Houston and only have 1 hour to change planes to go to cancun. all flights are on united will this be enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time. You will likely arrive in Terminal C and depart from Terminal E, which are connected.

  • Youth travelling alone from Vancouver to Charleston on United

My 15 year old is traveling alone on United from Vancouver to Charleston with a 58 minute layover at IAH on Aug 13. How do I find out what terminals he will be flying in and out of so I can help prepare him for this first solo flight? Is 58 minutes enough time?

    1. On arrival at Vancouver YVR airport, after checking in, he will proceed to the U.S. Customs clearance and on to the U.S.-dedicated gate, which will be indicated on his boarding pass, as well as on the overhead screens for departing/arriving airlines. 2. At Houston IAH, United uses Terminals A, B, C & E with corresponding gates, i.e., B60. 3. I suggest you let your son make his own discovery by opening I suggest you open www.ifly.com/yvr & www.ifly.iah, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'MAPS & DIRECTIONS', and scroll down to the detailed text. Also, under 'Traveler tips' at right top, he'll find 'First-time flyer tips'. 4. His transfer time should suffice.

58 minutes is tight but doable for the connection in IAH. He will likely arrive in Terminal C and depart from Terminal B, however he will not know the exact gates until the day of his flight. The TerminaLink train connects the terminals inside security.

  • Terminal D to Terminal A

What is the best way to get from Terminal D to Terminal A? How long does it take to get from D to A?

Assuming you are on the secure side, take the TerminaLink train. It should be about a 10-15 minute train ride.

  • Limited Layover Time?

My flight UA 128 should arrive from Brazil at 5.10am and my connecting flight is AC8103 leaving at 7am. It's only an hour and a half connection to my next flight. I'm wondering if this is enough time to make my connection which the website says is from Terminal E to Terminal A. Any advice would be useful! Thanks

That should be enough time. Immigration will be pretty empty at that time. You just have to go back through security in Terminal E then take the TerminaLink train to Terminal A.

Hi, I am arriving at Terminal E on a BA flight BA195 on 25th July and need to link up with family arriving at Terminal C UA 257 from San Diego, Can I walk from E to C?, Than ks

On the secure side you can easily, but you will be funneled through immigration and out to the non-secure area in Terminal E. You can probably go through the corridor the Inter-Terminal Train uses to go back to Terminal C (or maybe even take the Inter-Terminal Train itself)

Also, British Airways arrivals are in Terminal D, not Terminal E, but the instructions on how to get to C are the same.

  • CANCUN TO IAH THEN TO CLE

We are flying out of Cancun on 7-26, we have only 1hr 12 min layover at IAH. Going into terminal E, then out of terminal C. Does anyone know if we will have to reclaim baggage then recheck? Ive been told that we do and we don't. Worried about not making the flight to CLE with going through customs and having to deal with baggage situation.

    Flying United for all flights

Yes, any time you enter the US from abroad you have to claim your baggage in immigration, clear customs, and then re-check. Yes, you have a very tight connection but at least United has lots of IAH-CLE flights that you can be rebooked on.

I am coming from Denver to IAH on United Express UA1742 and leaving on UA5914. I only have 30 minutes between flights - will I have enough time? Help..!

You will have to hope your first flight is on-time and hurry. You will likely have to take the TerminaLink train from Terminal C to Terminal B. There are at least several later flights to Nashville if you miss your connection to 5914.

Time needed to go from Terminal A to Terminal B? Will land at 12:09 on Flight 4866 Operated by EXPRESSJET AIRLINES DBA UNITED EXPRESS in Terminal A. Will take off from Terminal B at 12:52 with Flight 6475 Operated by Tyrolean Airways. Will I have enough time to make it to Terminal B?

No flights at IAH are operated by Tyrolean Airways. Where are you flying to on your second flight?

  • How to get to terminal B?

My friend will be on United Airlines 0128 flight from Rio de Janeiro to Houston on Saturday, July 13. She'll arrive at Terminal E on Sunday, July 14 at 5:30 AM. She will take the connecting flight UA 4505. How can she get to Terminal B? She doesn't speak English an is travelling with a 10 year old child? Another question... Can I or she order a motorized car?

All she has to do is go back through security after re-checking her baggage in Terminal E and then follow the signs to the TerminaLink train and take that to Terminal B.
