  • Terminal A to D

What is the minimum time to go from Terminal A to D?

Bare minimum would be 25 minutes to 30 minutes, but that leaves no wiggle room for delays.

My friend in flying from St. Louis on UA 5029 (United Express), connecting in IAH to go to San Jose, Costa Rica on UA 1565. I plan to meet him for a cup of coffee in the airport, does anyone know where is the best place for him to meet with me and what terminals will these two flights be in? Thank you.

He will arrive in terminal A or B and depart from C or E. I wouldn't bother trying to meet him unless he has approximately 3 hrs between his flights.

  • Enough time for Intl Connection??

We will be traveling from Istanbul, Turkey to Dallas, TX on May 7, 2013 (Friday) with connection in IAH. I am an American citizen but my wife is not (greencard). Our US born daughter (16 months old) will also be traveling with us. Will 1 hour and 45 minutes between flights be enough to clear customs and get from Terminal D to Terminal A to make our connecting flight to Dallas? Also, Orbitz states that the flight from Istanbul will also land in Terminal A, is it possible since Terminal A is not international? Thank you very much in advance!

Orbitz is wrong. Turkish Airlines flights at IAH arrive in Terminal D. What airline is your Dallas flight on? If it's on United mainline it will leave from C, if it's on United Express it could leave from A-North, B, or C. If it's on American it will be from A-south. It will be a very tight connection but luckily if you miss it there are many other flights from IAH to Dallas that you could be rebooked on.

Thank you very much for your reply

  • 56 minutes to transfer btw C and E

I'm quite worried as I have 56 minutes to transfer between Houston Terminal C (United Airlines) and Terminal E (flying Lufthansa). Will this be sufficient time (I'm a fit walker) ? Thank you.

Yep, you'll have to hope your first flight is on-time, but it's doable.

  • Connecting A (USAIR) to E (Continental)

We are flying into IAH on USAIR (terminal A) and need to connect to terminal E (United) in 42 minutes. At terminal E we are taking a flight to honolulu, hawaii (e.g. domestic). Is this a realistic connection time using the termnial link train? We are flying first class on both flights and presumably will get out of the USAIR plane fast..

Yeah, if your first flight is on-time it will be doable.

I have only 37 minutes to get from C19-E21. Is it best to run south from C19 to C43 and then east past C45 to TE21 or take the Terminal Link to D/E station. If it is the latter how do you skirt around International Arrivals in a hurry and avoid security? Thanks

Running is usually your best option whenever possible.

I will need to go from gate C25 to B84N. I will have to take the TerminaLink train. Is the station for the TerminaLink close to gate C25. My husband and I both walk with canes. Our connection time is about 55 minutes. Will we make it to gate B84C in time?

C25 is fairly close to the TerminaLink station. However, unless you are traveling today or tomorrow and looked on united.com , you don't know specific what gate your flight will come in to (and even then it can still change). Regardless you should have enough time. If you are really worried about being able to walk that far you can call United and ask for wheelchair assistance.

  • arrive from TPA- Fly to Purto Vallarta

Is a 1 hour lay-over enough to fly in from Tampa and fly out on International Mexico flight... What gates does United use for these flights

Your flight from Tampa would likely arrive in C and your Puerto Vallarta flight would depart from C or E, which are all connected beyond security. If your first flight is on-time, an hour would be enough.

I can't find the terminal my flight tonight to Turkey, flight 34/7.50pm?

Turkish just began service to IAH last week and the maps haven't been updated yet. They use Terminal D.

    Thank you for heads up

Do you know how "soon" they open the counter so I can check my bag? I have a long 8 hour connection (from noon till 7.50pm)

  • Making a connection between terminals

I am arriving at terminal E at 1140am and need to catch a flight at 1:00pm at terminal B. How long does it take to get from E to B? Is there a tram that you can take to get between terminals faster?

Yes, the Terminalink train will take you between terminals on the secure side and the Inter-Terminal Train connects the terminals on the non-secure side (which you might want to use if you are an international arrival)

i arrive at c44, leave at B84J, can't find it on the map?

On arrival at IAH at Terminal C, take the above-ground TerminaLink train to Terminal B, which will arrive in the post-security area. look for signs to gates B84-88.

I have a Global Entry appointment on the gate side of Terminal E, but am departing from Terminal D. Can I go through security in Terminal D and then walk across to Terminal E all on the secure side?

    I'm fairly sure you can

I'm arriving at IAH from MCO I have a connection to GDL do I go straight to the terminal or is there something I need to do

Go straight to the gate for your GDL flight. Take the TerminaLink train if necessary.

    Thanks Alot :)

I will be arriving in Houston at 8:20am at gate c and departing to Guadalajara at 8:55am at gate E do I have enough time or should I be worried?

That's a pretty tight connection - but those gate areas are fairly close to each other. If your first flight is on time you should be able to make it. Also, United has more IAH-GDL flights later in the day if you miss that one. Also, It appears most United IAH-GDL flights leave from B, not E, in which case you would have to take the TerminaLink train.

About how long will it take me to walk from C to E?

It depends where in C to where in E, but probably 10-20 minutes.
