Arriving on United 1077 from New Orleans at terminal C at 9;20 am and leaving on United 6297 to Monterrey Mexico from Terminal B at 11:50am. We have NZ passports. Is this a comfortable connection time or should we book a later flight?
Yes, that is plenty of time. All you have to do is take the Skyway train to Terminal B and board your flight.
First time flying with a connection stop. So I'm a Canadian who is travelling to Mexico via Houston. I have 1hr30 mins in Houston. What is the first thing I look for once I get off the plane in Houston in order to catch my next flight?? I'm not bringing luggage just carry on and both flights are with united. Thanks!
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you have to change terminals the Skyway train connects all terminals inside security.
I fly into IAH (Houston) from DCA (Washington DC) and then have a 48-minute layover before the next plane leaves for TGU (Tegucigalpa, Honduras). Do you think I will have enough time to make the plane leaving for TGU?
It's enough time if the flight from DCA is on-time. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Is this enough time when flying in from Guadalajara to Toronto. Both flights are on United
Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
My mistake...The first flight is on United but the second flight from IAH to Toronto is listed as a United flight but operated by AIr Canada. Will my bags be check through or will we have to collect them and recheck with Air Canada and if so will we have enough time.
I'm coming in on Terminal C and my co-worker is coming into A. Where is the best place to hook up so we can share a ride?
If one of you don't have checked bags, then that person can meet the other at their gate using the Skyway train. If you both have checked bags then the earlier arriver should take the Subway train to the later arriver's terminal and meet in the baggage claim.
My son's KLM flight was delayed 30 minutes, now he has 1:59 minutes to gather bags, clear customs, get from Terminal D to Terminal A, check his bag with AA and catch his flight home. Any advice I can pass on to him when he lands?
Just hurry and hope everything goes smoothly when he lands. If he has to transfer bags to AA himself he will have to take the Subway, which is located in an underground corridor.
So now the inbound flight is 35 minutes late, squeezing transfer time to 1:54. Any secrets to expediting from terminal D, through customs, then to check in at Terminal A for 4:21PM departure?
Thank you! I didn't know about the subway. He is changing airlines and going through customs, so it will be all on him to hustle through quickly.
So, they didn't make the flight. Ticket counter said couldn't get bags checked in on time, so she put them on a later flight. . Then the original outbound flight was delayed. I called AA. Agent gave them seats and instructed me to tell them to get in boarding line. They rushed to the door, but the gate agent closed the door and said too late. Ugh! They caught next flight out, but the lesson is persistence. If the boys had stayed by the original gate and asked to fly stand by, they could have made it.
They also flew stand by on their last connecting flight home, so we are returning to airport today to retrieve baggage. It was worth it to get them home earlier.
