I'm flying SAN-IAH-FRA. The United flight SAN-IAH arrives at 2:39pm in Terminal C and the IAH-FRA Lufthansa flight departs at 4:10pm from Terminal D. Is this time sufficient for making the connection (bags checked through to FRA)? Can I walk or should I take the skyway train? Thanks!

You can just walk. That should be plenty of time.

IF arriving from Mexico in terminal E, after clearing customs is it possible to remain in the secured portion of terminal and to take the skyway tram to terminal A and avoid having to go through security again?

You will have to go through security after you clear customs. You are outside security when you clear customs. However, you can go through security in E and then take the Skyway train to A.

WE JUST RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF A CHANGE IN ITINERARY AND HAVE 40 MINUTES TO TRANSFER IN IAH COMING IN FROM TORONTO AND CONTINUING TO SANTIAGO CHILE. IS THIS ENOUGH? WE WILL HAVE PRECLEARED CUSTOMS BUT WILL OUR LUGGAGE GO THROUGH TO CHILE?

Yes, your baggage will go through to Chile. That is just enough time if your flight from Toronto is on-time.

im coming from Buenos Aires with checked luggage on United with 70 mins to connect to a delta flight in IAH going to MSP. How does this work with my luggage and will I have enough time?

No, that is not enough time. The minimum International to Domestic connection time in Atlanta is 90 minutes, with 2 hours recommended. You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags, and go through security.

I am European, and I will be flying from Frankfurt (Germany) through Huston to Atlanta, Georgia, USA. My plane (United) will arrive at Huston at 2.10 pm and then at 3.30pm I will have United flight to Atlanta. Will 1h 20min be enough to transfer considering security, checking visa and passport and any other detailed control on the border? Is there any extra control for non-American citizens on the border? I will be thankful for reply!

No, that is not enough time. The minimum International to Domestic connection time in Atlanta is 90 minutes, with 2 hours recommended. You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags, and go through security.

I have an 80 minute layover from San Luis Potosi, Mexico into IAH. From there I fly to GSP. Is the 80 minutes enough to clear customs in IAH and make my connection (on X-mas eve)?

I really don't think that's enough time, especially if you have checked baggage.

Hi, I'm flying from Monterrey (Mexico) to Amsterdam by Houston. In Houston I will arrive at 14.02 in terminal A and leave at 15.35 from terminal D. I have more or less 90 minutes. Is this enought times? Thanks

you will not arrive in Terminal A. No flights from Mexico arrive in Terminal A as it does not have immigration facilities. You will arrive in Terminal D. You have barely enough time. What airlines are you flying? are your tickets on one reservation or separate?

With Delta, operated by Aeromexico and by KLM. My ticket are on the same reservation. The terminal are written on the ticket. Thanks for the answer.

I am flying from LGA to Austin via IAH on United and I have a 71 minute connection. Is this enough? The flight from LGA usually arrives 20 minutes late. Will that be a problem?

You should have enough time. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates are connected inside security.

    Thanks a lot! Appreciate it!

I am flying from Auckland to Houston then connecting in Houston to Toronto. Will I have to get my luggage after clearing immigaration and then go through customs again...am kind of not clear of the process. Would appreciate assistance on what I can expect upon arrival from Auckland.

International to International connections in Houston are not supposed to have to claim their baggage, but double check with the agents in Auckland and Houston.

Hello! I am flying from London and arriving in Houston. I have to take a flight to México and I only have 1 hour layover time. Will that the enough? Do I have to go through customs? How long will it take? Please help! I want to be prepared and not miss my flight Thanks!

You will have to go through US Immigration, customs, and security. 1 hour is not enough time. You need to be rebooked for 90 minutes minimum

If i don't have checked-in luggage, do you think I will still need more than an hour? Thank you!

its possible but really very difficult unless your flight from London is quite early

Flying from MSP through IAH to PHX. I have 76 minutes between connections. I am flying on United. Will I have enough time to get to my connecting flight?

Yes, all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both likely in Terminal C. If you do arrive or depart from a different terminal, all terminals are connected inside security by the SkyWay train.

  • Can I make connection?

Looking at flying from Toronto on united Express/sky west flight into Houston terminal b and catching a connecting flight to Albuquerque with United airlines in terminal c. There is only 1 hour between arrival time and departure time. Would this be sufficient time to make this connection? Not sure where I would need to clear customs....Toronto or Houston? Thx

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The SkyWay train connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time.

  • 93 minutes international connection

Hello I'm flying LHR to IAH then connecting to fly to CUN both with United. I've 93 minutes between landing and taking off plus a fair amount of checked baggage. Assuming I'll have to clear security and get my bags and go through customs then go through security again to get the connecting flight. Is that right? Will I make it? Do I need to let them know I've a tight window. Will they expedite my process? Thank you

You will not have to claim your bags in Houston since you are on an International to International connection. You just have to go through US Immigration, customs and security. You should have enough time if your flight from London is on-time.
