I'm arriving from Monterrey, Mexico on United Express and my connection Houston-Newark on United leaves 2 hours and 20 minutes after my arrival. Do you believe I can make it through customs in that time and catch the plane? What would be the fastest way after I clear customs to get to my next plane, seems like I arrive terminal E and leave from terminal C.

Yes, you should have enough time. You can go back through security in E and walk to your gate in C.

Okay, it's just that I've been reading about 2 hour wait in customs line and that makes me wonder if that would be enough time

  • What Terminal?

I'm flying on United from Phoenix into IAH the end of July, what terminal does United normally fly into from Phoenix? I've never been to IAH and understand it is very large. I also have a connecting flight from IAH to Cleveland, don't know what terminal I will fly out of either. HELP! Only have 1 hour between flights....and I am scared to death to fly and flying into an unknown airport is unsettling!

If your Phoenix-Houston flight is operated by United, it will arrive in Terminal C or E (usually C). If it is operated by US Airways it will arrive in Terminal A-South. If your flight to Cleveland is operated by United Express it will leave from B or C. If it is operated by regular United it will likely leave from C. If you need to go between terminals the TerminaLink train runs inside security and allows you to get between any two gates in the airport in under 25 minutes.

Nice wine list.... But using a silver plastic fork to cut a Filet is a big no no! If you are going to have Opus One on the wine list, get some proper cutlery. Also, you recommend your steak mid-rare, so make sure your cooks don't mistake that for mid-well. The two stars are for my server, Katy was easy going and knowledgable.

I am coming into IAH from Tulsa on United Express and connecting on United to Honolulu. Are both flights located in terminal B?

United serves Terminals A, B, C & E - each of which has corresponding gates. Your ticket may indicate TA17, or A17 (for Terminal A, gate 17); On arrival look at overhead screens to find your flight number and gate. If connecting flight is in a different terminal, take the above-ground TerminaLink train, which starts its service at the Terminal A station, connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security (allow for 30 mins transfer from A to D).

Your flight to Honolulu will depart from E.

I am arriving Terminal C from Orlando and departing Terminal A to Killeen, TX, both are United Flights, What do I do?

You take the TerminaLink train between terminals. It runs inside security. The transfer shouldn't take more than 25 minutes.

Be careful the terminal Link train to connect from C to A runs outside the secured area you would need to go to the lower level and take the train to term. A then go back trough security.

Emanuel is incorect. The TerminaLink runs inside security. The Inter-Terminal train runs outside security.

where i can find the weighting machine

What is a "weighting machine"? Do you mean a scale? Why would you want to find a scale in an airport?

To know the weight of the bag !! like in KLIA airport you can check your bags weight before going to check in.

What's KLIA? Anyway, you can use your scale at home - or you can go to the check in desk and they usually let you take things out of the bag if it's overweight.

My daughter will be arriving from Costa Rica (looks like terminal E to me) on United and will then need to get to terminal A for a Delta flight home. She will have to get her luggage and go through customs between flights (she has nearly 3 hours). Will she have to go through security again, or can she go through customs and stay inside the secured area?

Any time you are an international arrival to the US that has to go through immigration you have to go through security again. She will probably want to take the Intra-Terminal Train from TE to TA, then get her Delta boarding pass, check her bags, and go through security.

I lost an item on a United flight this morning. How can I see where the plane went after I deplaned? I have the departure gate and tail number. Thank you for any help ...

On Flightaware you can put in any United tail number and see where the aircraft currently is.

does Terminalink connect these gates? My wife is flying to Houston from LAX & has never been to Houston Bush.

She arrives at IAH at Terminal C (gates C34--42) and needs to get to Terminal B. Follow signs to the TerminaLink train station and take the train (inside security) to Terminal B arriving near gates B84-88.

    thanks for the information.

My daughter arrives at terminal d and has to go through customs. Her AA flight leaves in less than an hour ( due to KLM delay) from termial B. Any chance she can make it?

You did not state with which airline your daughter arrives at IAH. Also, she needs to double check her connecting AA flight - Terminal B (TB) is exclusively used by United & United Express. AA is in Terminal A (A gates). International Arrivals connecting to domestic flights: After customs clearance and re-checking-in bags, go straight out to the International Arrivals Lobby which has an escalator down to the Inter-Terminal Train (running inside security) taking you to your connecting terminal. (TA has gates 1-15 & 17-30 - TB has gates B68065 & B60-66. It would be extremely tight to connect, unless customs process is quick.

AA Uses Terminal A at IAH. She will probably miss her connection, but AA has lots of IAH-DFW flights (assuming that's what she's on)

My mom is flying into term E in the AM and needs to get to term gate B81. 2.5 hr layover. Top it off, she doesn't read English well. Pls recommend best way to make the transfer.

On arrival at Terminal E of IAH, your mother can take the above-ground TerminaLink train, which starts its service at the Terminal A station & connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security (allow for 30 mins transfer from A to D). Internationally recognized signs will guide her. However, you could arrange for wheelchair pickup at arrival gate by contacting her airline. If your mother is an international arrival, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/iah and open 'Terminal Map' under 'Maps & Directions' for further details.
