We are flying from Toronto to Auckland with a connection in Houston but only have a 75 minute layover, is that enough time to make our connection to Auckland?
Yes, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time.
Arriving from Orlando connecting to San Salvador on United with one hour between flights. Are gates on same concourse/terminal and is that enough time to make connection?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
We are flying from Tulsa to Houston with a 39 min layover in Houston then to Merida Mexico do we change terminals I hope we have enough time?
Yes, you will arrive in Terminal B and depart from Terminal C or E. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security. You have just enough time if the flight from Tulsa is on-time.
Going to Austin from Guatemala City, is 1.5 hrs enough time to get through customs and catch my flight? I have had trouble in the past and don't know wether to budget more time.
That is just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
I will be arriving on Qatar Airlines at 4:45 in the afternoon in Terminal D. I will have to collect bag, clear customs, and recheck bag.
Will it be possible to make 7:15 p.m. United flight to
Denver? Qatar flight sometimes 1/2 hr. late. Anais
Yes, that should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I am fly with united from Calgary, Canada to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The first flight arrives at IAH at 10:25pm and the second flight leaves at 11:34 PM, both with United. Will I have to transfer to another terminal and is this time even possible to make the connection?
Both flights should be in Terminal C. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Calgary. You should have enough time.
Hi there! I'm flying on United from Ixtapa, Mexico to Houston on a Monday & get in at 5:45 PM. I then catch my second leg of this flight (to Portland, OR on United as well) at 6:55 PM. Does this allow enough time? I will have checked bags that I'm guessing will have to be picked up and then rechecked? Thanks!
Yes, that should be enough time. Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
Our Air New Zealand flight arrives IAH @ 1:45 p.m. Terminal D
Layover is 1 hour, 55 minutes
Connecting flight is Air Canada, departing 3:40 p.m. Terminal A for Toronto.
We will have both boarding passes and luggage checked through to final destination (Canada).
Questions:
1) Must we clear US Customs/Immigration?
2) Are we required to pick up luggage in IAH and carry them over to Terminal A to re-load?
3) Will a NEXUS card assist us in any way?
4) Is connection tome (1 hr. 55 min.) sufficient?
Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the Skyway to Terminal A. You cannot use a NEXUS card when entering the US from anywhere other than Canada or Mexico. You should have enough time.
A relative is going to be flying IND --> IAH --> AKL and returning a few weeks later in the reverse order (AKL --> IAH --> IND). I have a two part question:

1) On the outbound flight where bags are checked in IND, does she simply go to the International Terminal in IAH for departure to AKL (i.e., will her baggage be checked all the way through to AKL)?

2) On the return flight back to the states from IAH, would she need to grab her baggage at the IAH International Terminal, take them through Customs and then transfer to the Domestic Terminal where she'll have to re-check them for her return to IND?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
On the outbound flight she just have to go to her departure gate in Terminal D. On the return she will go through US Immigration, claim her bags, go through US Customs, re-check her bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the Skyway Train to her departure terminal.
Thanks ZAP for the confirmation!!!
Hi I am flying from New Zealand to Houston and arriving at 12.40pm, I am wanting to get on the connecting flight to Cancun that departs at 1.30pm, is that enough time to transit? I'm not sure if I need to collect and recheck in bags as I am booking with two different carriers so I'm thinking an hour will not be long enough?
No, that would be completely impossible. Since you are booking two separate tickets you need at least 3 hours between flights.
Thanks ZAP. Just one more question if I may. If my luggage is checked through can I get straight to my departure gate without having to pass through security or is there no direct route from arrivals?
