  • Short layover
    Dec 19, 2015
Hello! I am flying from London and arriving in Houston. I have to take a flight to México and I only have 1 hour layover time. Will that the enough? Do I have to go through customs? How long will it take? Please help! I want to be prepared and not miss my flight Thanks!

You will have to go through US Immigration, customs, and security. 1 hour is not enough time. You need to be rebooked for 90 minutes minimum

If i don't have checked-in luggage, do you think I will still need more than an hour? Thank you!

its possible but really very difficult unless your flight from London is quite early

  • time to get to next flight on United
    Dec 17, 2015
Flying from MSP through IAH to PHX. I have 76 minutes between connections. I am flying on United. Will I have enough time to get to my connecting flight?

Yes, all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both likely in Terminal C. If you do arrive or depart from a different terminal, all terminals are connected inside security by the SkyWay train.

  • Can I make connection?
    Dec 16, 2015
Looking at flying from Toronto on united Express/sky west flight into Houston terminal b and catching a connecting flight to Albuquerque with United airlines in terminal c. There is only 1 hour between arrival time and departure time. Would this be sufficient time to make this connection? Not sure where I would need to clear customs....Toronto or Houston? Thx

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The SkyWay train connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time.

  • 93 minutes international connection
    Dec 16, 2015
Hello I'm flying LHR to IAH then connecting to fly to CUN both with United. I've 93 minutes between landing and taking off plus a fair amount of checked baggage. Assuming I'll have to clear security and get my bags and go through customs then go through security again to get the connecting flight. Is that right? Will I make it? Do I need to let them know I've a tight window. Will they expedite my process? Thank you

You will not have to claim your bags in Houston since you are on an International to International connection. You just have to go through US Immigration, customs and security. You should have enough time if your flight from London is on-time.

Hi, my flight from Canada arrives at terminal A to Houston and then I only have 30 min to connect with my flight to Mexico on terminal B. Should I follow the signs for shuttle or walk? Can I make it? I don't have to get my luggage.

you can't walk from A to B inside security. You have to take the Skyway train. You have enough time as long as your first flight is on-time.

  • International-Domestic Layover time
    Dec 14, 2015
Hi - We have a 75 min layover in IAH between our international flight arriving from Auckland and our domestic flight to Newark. Will have checked baggage, and have to change terminals (D-->C). What do you think the odds are we can make our domestic flight in under 75 minutes? Thanks!

Unless your flight from Auckland is extremely early, I think this will be very difficult or impossible. The minimum International to Domestic connection time in Houston is 90 minutes. You have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security. Contact the airline or travel agent you booked the ticket to to request a later flight to Newark as this is currently an illegal connection.

We are flying in from yyc with united and have an hour and 25 min layover in IAH and then leaving for MIA with american airlines. is this enough time?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Calgary. Will you have checked bags? If so it will be difficult to make this transfer since you will have to transfer the bags from Terminal B or C where you arrive, to Terminal A to re-check them with American. If you don't have checked bags then you can go directly to your American departure gate in Terminal A via the Skyway train.

  • Express Immigration Line No Documented Luggage
    Dec 14, 2015
Hi, I want to know if there is a special line while going through immigration if I did not documented luggage, just carry on. I know there is one in Dallas airport, I have used it. But do not know if this is available at Houston. Can you inform?

    Yes, they do http://fly2houston.com/OneStop

  • Houston to calgary connection
    Dec 13, 2015
Travelling from NOLA to Calgary with a 55 min connection time- will we have any issues? All united airlines?

That should be enough time as long as your first flight is on-time. The skyway train connects all terminals inside security.

  • Connetion at Huston
    Dec 13, 2015
I'll fly next 24 dec LH7601 that will arrive from Frankfurt and I have 1 hour and 15 min to take the flight to Guatemala. It is enough time? I arrive with Lufthansa fligh an then I'll flight Unnited Airlines. What you suggest?

Note that LH7601 is operated by United also. The minimum International to International connection time at IAH is 90 minutes. This will be a very difficult connection to make with a very real possibility that you will miss it. Luckily there is a 9:38 PM flight from Houston to Guatemala City on the day you are traveling that you can hopefully be rebooked on if you miss your connection.

  • Terminal change
    Dec 12, 2015
I am flying into Houston from McAllen. I understand that this means I will arrive at terminal A or B. As I am flying to Toronto Canada, I do not need to pick up luggage, but can proceed to Terminal A where I will depart on Air Canada flight.

If both tickets are on the same reservation you don't have to claim your bags and can go directly to your departure gate.

YYZ to IAH SkyWest flight UA6347U. 66 minutes connect UA1491U to PVR. Enough time? Terminals of Arrival and Departure?

Yes. You will preclear US immigration and customs in Toronto. You will arrive in terminal B or C and depart from E. The skyway train connects all terminals inside security.

I will have a 59 minutes window to pick up suitcase, and proceed to Terminal A to Toronto, Canada. I am arriving from McAllen, Texas. Does this allow enough time to make the flight? W Does the McAllen flight arrive at Terminal E?

Your McAllen flight will depart from Terminal A or B. If you purchased all your tickets on the same reservation then you will not have to claim your bag in Houston - you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Sorry, McAllen flight will arrive in A or B.

  • YYZ connect at IAH for departure to ZIH
    Dec 20, 2015
United Airlines website is showing a 59 minute layover when connecting to second part of flight to ZIH Is this sufficient time to make the flight to ZIH ???

Yes, that is possible. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The SkyWay train connects all terminals and gates inside security.

Will I be switching Terminals at IAH or be departing from the same one ? Flight numbers are .... UA3773 to UA1682

You will arrive in Terminal B or C and depart from Terminal E.

Thank you very much for all your help and information Cheers from Toronto

I am flying from LGA to Austin via IAH on United and I have a 71 minute connection. Is this enough? The flight from LGA usually arrives 20 minutes late. Will that be a problem?

  • enough time?
    Dec 7, 2015
I'm arriving at terminal E and departing from terminal E. Layover is only 40 minutes. Enough time? skyway quickest?

    OOOOOPS! arriving B - departing E 40 minutes enough?

40 minutes is possible, but it obviously leaves no time to spare if the first flight is late. Yes, the only way is the Skyway.
