Hi I am travelling from Las Vegas to London via a 35 minute stopover at Houston, my terminals are C to E, will their be enough time to make the connection if my initial flight is on time?

Yes, barely. It leaves no time to spare if your flight from Las Vegas is late.

Friends are flying from Memphis to join us on a flight to Cancun. The connection time between flights is 57 minutes. Will their bags be checked through to Cancun from Memphis? Will they have to clear security in IAH or will they just be able to go from the arrival gate to the international terminal? Is this enough time?

Their bags will be checked through to Cancun in Memphis. All they have to do in IAH is go from their arrival gate to your departure gate. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security. They should have enough time.

Hungry? Eat at Pappadeaux. In my opinion the best seafood restaurant there is. Go around the shops without spending money (everything is overpriced). And go to one of the many bars for a drink and get to know people. They got great bars at every terminal. last time I went I was watched a basketball game that ended right before boarding time.

I arrive into IAH at 7:05AM on Spirit from San Jose, CR and have a connection at 8:45 AM with United. Is 1hr and 40min enough time to clear customs and make my connection? I will have a checked bag with spirit but can carry it on as a carry on with United so will not have to check a bag after customs...

Yes, that should barely be enough time, especially if you can check in online for your United flight before you leave Costa Rica.

Hi, I will be flying from CUU (Chihuahua, Mex) to CMH (Columbus, Ohio) and connecting in IHA, no checked bags, is 1:38 enough for the connection? Thank you so much!

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • Is 90 minutes enough for customs+connection?

Hi there, I will be flying home from MUC (Munich), and connecting in IHA on Monday, June 15, 2015, at 2:00:00 pm. The flight home to YEG (Edmonton) leaves at 3:31:00 pm. Is this enough time (91 minutes) if I have a checked bag? Will I need to go through customs coming from Munich, Germany to Edmonton, Canada? Thank you sooo much!

I should mention that both flights are through the same airline, and that I've booked it all via a round trip. So if I miss my connection, I will be able to stay in IHA and wait for the next available flight, right?

Yes, that should be enough time. You will go through US Immigration and Customs but should not have to claim your bag as you are on an international to international connection, however, confirm that with agents in Munich and Houston. And yes, if you miss your connection you will be booked on the next available flight to Edmonton, possibly connecting in Denver to get there.

Arriving Houston from Munich at 14:00 and have a domestic connection to Las Vegas at 15:39. Flying United airlines both flights. Do I have to change the terminal? Is there enough time for the process of immigration, baggage claim and customs?

Yes, that should be enough time. You will arrive in Terminal E, and likely depart from Terminal C. However, E and C are directly connected to each other.

  • Connection between Terminal B and Terminal D

I am arriving Terminal B from Savannah on UA 4486 at 15:34, and connecting SQ 61 to Singapore at 17:40 at Terminal D. Travelling on separate tickets. Can I check through my bags and do I have sufficient connecting time? Thanks for your advice.

You can ask the agent in Savannah to check your bags through to Singapore by showing your Singapore confirmation. But they are not obligated to. If they do not, then you will have to claim your bags in Terminal B, take them on the Inter-Terminal Train to Terminal D and check them. Everything will have to go perfect to get there in time for the bag check-in cutoff.

Hi - we are UK citizens living in Grand Cayman, looking to fly from Cayman to Vegas via IAH, the flight has a layover time of 1hr 45 - is this sufficient? Do we have to go through customs etc? Is there anything we can do to ensure we don't miss our connection? Thanks!

  • 43 minutes?

Hi, we are a family, 2 adults, one child. We are arriving from Chicago, ORD and are going to MIA. With 43 minutes connection time. Will the bags automatically go to the MIA flight? And is the gates from ORD to MIA close? Do you think we will make it?

Both gates will likely be in Terminal C. Your bags will automatically be transferred. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.

Thanks! We are flying with UA!

  • Time for customs and tranfer / terminals

I'm planning to fly from Brazil and connecting to a flight to San Francisco, both on United, with 2 hour and 15 minutes layover. It's enough to clear customs and transfer? Which are the arrival and departure terminals and how do I get from one terminal to another?

Where exactly are you flying from and To? There are no United flights from South America to San Francisco.

I'Il take a flight from Brazil to Houstoun Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and then take a connecting flight from IAH to San Francisco. I'd like to know if the layover time in IAH is enough to clear customs. I'd also like to know in which terminal I'll arrive in IAH e which terminal it will be the terminal in which I'm supposed to take to San Francisco.

you will arrive into Houston's Terminal E, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security. Your flight to SFO will depart from terminal C or E. C and E are directly connected to each other. You should have enough time.

Arrive 13:45 from Frankfort, Germany...depart 14:59 to Orlando...do I go through US customs and pick up bags?,,,,will there be enough time to recheck bags and make next flight?

1 hr 14 mins is 16 minutes shorter than the recommended international to domestic connection time in Houston. You may be able to make it though, and if you do miss your connection there are later flights to Orlando that you can likely be rebooked on.

Will 57 minutes be enough time and will I have to pass thru security? Flying into Houston then on to St Louis

The TerminaLink train connects all gates inside security. That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. Just follow signs to the TerminaLink train.

We are US citizens flying United into IAH and have a 50 minute connection time for International departure to San Jose Costa Rica. Will we need to re-clear security and will we have time to make this connection. We will have some checked bags and carry on.

No, you will not have to go through security or do anything with your bags. You will just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Terminal E. All gates at IAH are connected inside security by the TerminaLink train. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.
