My mom is flying into term E in the AM and needs to get to term gate B81. 2.5 hr layover. Top it off, she doesn't read English well. Pls recommend best way to make the transfer.

On arrival at Terminal E of IAH, your mother can take the above-ground TerminaLink train, which starts its service at the Terminal A station & connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security (allow for 30 mins transfer from A to D). Internationally recognized signs will guide her. However, you could arrange for wheelchair pickup at arrival gate by contacting her airline. If your mother is an international arrival, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/iah and open 'Terminal Map' under 'Maps & Directions' for further details.

I am arriving on UA from memphis and need to transfer to Turkish Airline at Terminal D. How fast can I transfer from A to D. I have 1 hr 50 min between flight. Please advise

You take the TerminaLink train which is inside security. It should not take more than 25 minutes.

Arriving UA into Terminal E from Calgary and leaving UA Terminal C to Tampa with 1 hour connection time. Is this connecting time OK?

Calgary has US customs clearance & baggage transfer - all you need to do on arrival at IAH's Terminal E is to take the above-ground TerminaLink train to Terminal C running inside security area. C gates after train station are C24-27, C14-23 (center) & C2-14.

Thanks for comments but my main concern is the 1 hour connection between Terminals E and C. Is this sufficent time to make the connection?

I will be arriving from SFO into terminal C and departing 3 hs later from terminal E. Can I avoid clearing security again? In which areas should I stay? Thanks!

Yes, you can take the TerminaLink or walk and stay within security. You have a ton of time. Just follow the signs to your next gate.

flying into terminal B with 1 hr time to get to Terminal E. How tight is this going to be? especially as I will most likely be in the back of the first plane and one of the last to get off. I'm guess I should stay in the secure area and take the inside tram to save on time.

Yes, you take the TerminaLink. It's doable within an hour if your first flight is on-time.

Flight 1715 arriving IAH 12:04 connecting Flight 4173 Expressjet to Birm departs@ 12:51 Could you tell me which terminal would I be arriving at. And which terminal would my expresset be leaving from?

Could not find your arriving flight (open http://www.fly2houston.com/0/3807990/0/0/ ) Note that ExpressJet operates some of Delta Connection & United Express flights. Flight 4173 is United departing from Terminal B, gate 84E. Since I don't know which Airline you use to arrive at IAH, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/iah, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text for transfer options.

You will arrive in C or E (probably C) and depart from A-north or B (probably B).

We will be arriving from Tampa on 5-18 on flight 1722 and will be leaving for El Paso on flight 4263 what terminals will these be at?

For the above they are United main for arriving flight and Express for El Paso flight. What terminals?

Your flight from Tampa will arrive in C or E and your flight to El Paso will depart from Terminal B. You can take the TerminaLink train between the terminals.

There are 2 Tampa flights: at 1:06 & 3:37pm both at Terminal C (no C gate number given); there are also 2 El Paso flights: at 3:15, Terminal B gate 81A, and at 1:36pm at gate T-B 84E - meaning you arrive at Terminal C and will connect to Terminal B via the inter-terminal underground train OUTSIDE of security - on arrival at TB you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting B gate.

FRMAY - that is 100% incorrect. You can take the TerminaLink within secrity between your gates.

  • 37 minutes enough??

So my flight itinerary is SFO-IAH-OMA. The layover in IAH is only 37 minutes. I have conflicting terminal locations for the arrival into IAH (it is either C or E) and I believe I depart from terminal B. How long does it take to get from Terminal C to Terminal B? How long does it take to get from Terminal E to Terminal B? Will I be able to make both situation?

United mainline flights into IAH can arrive into C or E, so you won't know until the day of your flight. C or E to B can take anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes on the TerminaLink train, depending on where in C/E your arriving gate is and how close it is to the TerminaLink station.

I need to make my way from E4 to B85 in 37 minutes at IAH. is that enough time to make it?

If your first flight is on-time it's possible, but hurry.

thanks! the plane actually landed about 7 minutes early so i got out when we were supposed to land. still had to hurry to the terminal, but made the flight! =)

We will arrive at IAH from BHM on United. Our flight to CLL leaves 35 minutes later. Do we have a chance? We have good running shoes.

Yes, you have a chance but it will be tough unless your first flight is quite early. You will likely have to take the TerminaLink train from B to A-north.

Thanks for the reply! We will hope for the best. :) I have often flown out of IAH, but this will be the first time I've visited witha connecting flight.

arriving on UA flight 719 at 645 terminal C. Will I make the connection to UA flight 1421 leaving at 724 in terminal E. best way to get there

It's usually fastest to walk between C and E.

  • Is 32 mins enough for changing planes?

I will be arriving at IAH on UA1438 in July at 8:03 pm and connecting to UA135 at 8:35 pm. Do you think I have enough time for changing planes?

Barely, if your first flight is on-time. They will probably both be in Terminal C. Any delays and you'll probably be spending the night in Houston.

I'm arriving at IAH on United Flight UA807 on 5/15 at 1:40 PM and have 1 hour to connect with UA Flight 5227 at 2:45 PM. I'm a senior and handicapped. Will I have enough time to make the transfer? Are both of these flights in the same terminal?

Flight 807 will arrive into Terminal C or E and 5227 will likely depart from Terminal B. You will have to take the TerminaLink train between the gates. I suggest you request wheelchair service from United (which you can do by calling them). If your first flight is on time you will have enough time for your connection.

    Thank you

  • How much time do I need to connect?

I will be flying on United from Neward to LAX with a 1:22 connection time at IAH. I will have checked baggage. Is that enough time for them to transfer my luggage from one plane to the other? I'm not worried about myself because I know I won't have any problems in that time to walk from arrival gate to departure gate, but I am worried about my luggage. I don't know how much time it takes for them to transfer my luggage. Does anyone know if my bags will be able to make it to LAX at the same times as I do??

That should be enough time for the luggage to transfer if your first flight is on-time or close to it.
