  • PHL to IAH to MGA
    Sep 8, 2013
I am wondering about booking a flight from PHL to MGA (Nicaragua) and there is a connecting flight in IAH...its only 50 minutes. Will I have enough time to get from the terminal where my plane lands from PHL to get to the terminal where my flight leaves for Nicaragua (MGA)?

If your PHL-IAH flight is on United it will arrive in Terminal C, if it's on US Airways it will arrive in Terminal A. Your Managua flight will depart from Terminal E. Either way if your first flight is on-time you should have enough time. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals beyond security and you can walk from C to E.

Both IAH & MGA are served by American (at IAH Terminal A - TA), Delta (TA), Spirit (TA), TACA (TD) & United (TA,B,C& E). The TerminaLink train runs between TA & TD/E at post-security - between TA & TD it takes 30 mins. You should have enough transfer time.

Disregard what susep just said, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

So I won't have enough time?

No, that part's fine, he was just very confusing talking about airlines that you aren't flying. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • is 30 minutes enough time between flights from Chicago to Roatan?
    Sep 7, 2013
arriving from Chicago in terminal C at 12:22 and departing terminal E to Roatan at 12:52. is that enough time? what if I miss it?

That's very tight. You'll have to hope your flight from Chicago is on-time or early. If you miss your flight you'll be spending the night in Houston as the 12:52 is the last flight to Roatan.

In fact, if you miss your flight you may have to be rebooked through San Pedro Sula the following day as it appears the Roatan flight doesn't even operate every day.

Hi!,My dad doesnt. speak any English, he is travelling from China to Houston, his flight land in terminal D, and he has to go to terminal C for his next flight. Does anyone know how to go to terminal C without security check again? Thanks! the above groundtransportation.. how to find it??? is it like a train or a bus?

He will have to go through security after he goes through immigration, claims his bag, customs, and re-checks his bag. However, once he goes back through security, Terminals D and C are connected without a shuttle - they're directly connected.

  • Terminal A to terminal E

We are arriving in terminal a and have a connecting flight to Peru, which I'm assuming will be out of terminal e, our time frame is 1 hour 11 minutes, can we make it?

What airline is your inbound flight on? Yes, your flight to Peru will be from Terminal E. If you don't have to claim any baggage and transfer it yourself you should have enough time if your flight is on-time. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals beyond security.

We are arriving from PHX on United and I thought it was terminal A we arrived on, but double check the arrival gate.

United flights from PHX mostly arrive in Terminal C. US Airways flights from PHX would arrive in Terminal A.

  • terminal link

Where do you pick up the terminal Link to connect to the United Terminals inside security

There's numerous in-terminal signs. The exact location differs by terminal (which you didn't mention).

well I am not sure which terminal I will be flying into or leaving from any chance you could tell me each? I am flying in from Tucson, AZ and going to Cleveland on United

Your flight from Tucson will arrive in Terminal B and your flight to Cleveland will depart from Terminal B if it is United Express and Terminal C if it is regular United.

  • Enough time from from Cancun?
    Sep 5, 2013
I fly from Cancun in Mexico to Frankfurt, I arrive in terminal E and have to go to terminal C. I have only 1 hour and 20 minutes between my flights. Is that enough? Do I have to go through security? Will I have time? Please advise. Thank you!!!

You will not depart from Terminal C. If your flight to Frankfurt is on Lufthansa it will be in Terminal D and if it is on United it will be in Terminal E. When you arrive, you will have to go through immigration, claim your bags, go through customs, re-check them, go back up to the ticketing level, and go back through security. You will be very hard-pressed to do that in that time.

Hi, according to my ticket I arrive in terminal E with United Airlines at 17:25 and I leave again with United Airlines to Frankfurt from terminal C at 18:45. But anyway do you think it is difficult to make it on time?

United international departures are from Terminal E. So both of your flights will be in the same terminal. However, you will still have to go back through security before you go to your gate. I think you will probably have enough time if your first flight is on-time but you'll really have to hurry.

  • GDL>IAH>FRA - 1h 40m
    Aug 30, 2013
Arrive at IAH from GDL @ 17:04 - Terminal E Depart IAH for FRA @ 18:45 - Terminal C (1h 41m layover) Is this enough time?

Actually, you will arrive in Terminal D and depart from Terminal E. But they're both connected. You should barely have enough time if your first flight is on-time. Hurry.

  • TSA - Immigration - Customs
    Aug 28, 2013
USA Citizen - Trip To Puebla, Mexico - On return, I connect at IAH to return to Charleston, SC. Is 1 hr 54 mn enough time to go through customs/TSA and catch my flight back to Chas? Flight UA4599 from Puebla to IAH ... Flight UA4260 from IAH to Chas. Terminals at IAH for United unknown. I really appreciate any information given. Thank you.

Yes, that should be enough time. United Express arrivals from Mexico usually use Terminal D and your departure to Charleston will be from Terminal B. The only international arrivals into D that time of day are other small planes from Mexico, so immigration shouldn't be too crowded. You take the TerminaLink train between terminals once you re-check your baggage (if you have any) and go through security.

Thanks a million, Zap! Kudos to you, too!

  • enough time
    Aug 23, 2013
Will fly from Phoenix to Lima on United with connection at IAH. Will 60 minutes be enough time to make the connection?

Yes, if your first flight is on-time that will be enough time. You will likely arrive in Terminal C or E and depart from Terminal E, which are all connected.

  • 60 minutes enough time to transfer from Gate C to Gate E?
    Aug 23, 2013
Arriving from other US city and transfer in Houston for flight to Europe. Traveling with lab infant. Time between flights is 60 minutes. Do I need to go through security before boarding international flight? Can I ask flight attendant to store stroller inside of the plane (domestic flight) to reduce wait time after arrival?

That should be enough time. No you won't have to go through security. It's unlikely you will be able to store the stroller onboard the plane. It will have to be gate checked.

Will fly from Brazil to Newak in connection with IAH. This is the first time I make connection in Houston. I will be arriving at terminal E and leaving the terminal C. I wonder what my procedure. Thank you.

You will go through US immigration after you get off the plane, then claim your bags, then go through customs, then re-check your bags with United, then you go upstairs and back through security and follow the signs to C (which is connected to E).

    Aug 19, 2013

Yes, you should have enough time but you'll have to hope your first flight is on-time and hurry. Your flight from Tucson will arrive in Terminal B and your flight to Cleveland will depart from Terminal B or C. If you have to transfer to Terminal C, the TerminaLink train runs between them inside security.

  • 37 minutes enough time?
    Aug 19, 2013
Flying United from Dallas to Laredo, connecting in IAH. is 37 minutes enough time to get to my connection?

Yes, but you will have to hurry. You will arrive in Terminal B or C and depart from Terminal A or B (likely A).

  • enough time?
    Aug 17, 2013
Travelling from Orlando to Houston and then onto London Heathrow using United Airlines. We only have 35 minutes to make the connection. Will that be enough? We leave for London from terminal E but not sure what terminal we land at in Houston. Thank you

Your flight from Orlando will probably arrive in C. You should have enough time.

  • change terminals?
    Aug 18, 2013
Flying on United Airlines-- arriving from San Antonio and catching a flight to Washington DC. Will i have to switch terminals

At IAH, United uses Terminals A, B, C & E with corresponding gates (i.e., gate C24). The above-ground TerminaLink train, which starts its service at the Terminal A station, connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security (allow for 30 mins transfer from A to D). Your boarding pass & overhead screens on arrival should indicate your connecting flight & gate number.

You will likely arrive in B or C and depart from C. You will know the exact gates day of departure.
