I am connecting through Houston from Dubai to Puerto Vallarta. will I need to recheck in my luggage?
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags with the second airline, go through security and to your departure gate.
We will be arriving on United Express jet in Terminal B. We have a separate ticket on Singapore Air. We plan to have only carryons but our connecting time is short. After we deplane in TerminalB what is the quickest route for us to get to Terminal D to check in with Singapore and go thru security? Should we take the underground train or the Skyway ? Help, please?!
I would take the Skyway. if you are able to check in online for your Singapore flight then you won't even have to leave security.
Unfortunately Singapore requires us to get our boarding pass at the check in desk and then go through security. If we take the Skyway to Terminal D can we easily exit the security area and get to the check in desk? Or would taking the underground train be faster? If so how would we access it? Thanks so much!
Yes, you can, I think the Skyway would still be faster. The Subway is a longer walk and slower.
Thanks so much. After we get off Skyway in Terminal D will the signage lead us clearly to the unsecure check in area so that we can find the Singapore desk? Will we have to go to baggage area like so many airports? Thanks again!
Arriving from Costa Rica what amount of time is needed to clear customs in Houston and get flight to IAD?
2 hours at least is recommended.
If I arrive in Terminal A from Seattle, at 4:58 a.m. Is that enough time to catch an Aero Mexico connection at 6:03 a.m.?
That connection will be to Terminal D with Aero Mexico
Is it one reservation or two separate reservations? Do you have checked bags?
We have two reservations but luggage will be checked all through
Then it should be enough time.
Thank you ZAP, I see you help with a lot of questions. Much appreciated!
Connect in Houston from pensacola fl, to Colorado springs. With baby will 35 min layover be enough? Flying united
It's possible but leaves no time to spare. Both flights will likely be in Terminal B.
Flying United from Little Rock to IAH. Initially I had 55 minutes between boarding a flight to Belize, but United changed the departure time from Little Rock and now I only have 41 minutes. Assuming the flight leaves Little Rock on time, do you think there will be enough time to catch my flight?
Yes, it's still possible but doesn't leave much time to spare.
I am looking at arriving at IAH from New Orleans on United at 19.50 with a connecting flight to London with BA at 22.30 (2hrs 40mins gap). Is this enough time? Will we need to collect our bags and re-check them in?

Yes, you will have to claim your bags from United, take them to Terminal D, and re-check them with British Airways. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
hello we are flying from Miami to Calgary Canada with united for both flights, we are New Zealand citizens, We have 90mins between flights at Houston, is this long enough? do we need to re check baggage and pass security again? Thank you
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
great thanks!! If starting in Miami (on a domestic flight) heading to calgary via houston at which part do you actually clear customs and officially leave usa?
There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. You go through Canadian immigration and Customs when you get to Calgary.
We're flying from AMS to HNL (connection in IAH and LAX) all on 1 united airlines ticket.

We have a connection of 1 hr 40 mn at IAH. Is that enough time to catch our next flight to LAX ?

Do we need to recheck our bags ?
AMS IAH - Flight:UA21
IAH LAX - Flight: UA1257
Yes, in Houston you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Flying United from Dallas to IAH to catch flight (also United) to Japan with 52 min layover at IAH. Very concerned about missing connecting flight to Japan. Also, will luggage need to be claimed and rechecked and will we have to go through security again? Never flown internationally before.
All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates are connected inside security by walkways and the Skyway train. You have enough time.
