We are flying on United from OKC to IAH arriving at 10:02am. Our connecting United flight leaves at 10:41am to CUN. Is that enough time to make the flight?

It's enough time but leaves no time to spare if the flight from OKC is late. However, United does have multiple later flights to Cancun that you can likely be rebooked on if you miss your connection.

I am flying from YVR to Buenos Aires with a stop in Denver and Houston with United. Do I clear customs in Denver?, and do I need to claim my checked baggage at Denver and Houston or is it forwarded for me?

You will preclear US immigration and customs in Vancouver. You will not see your bags again until you get to Buenos Aires. All you have to do in Denver and Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Transfer 35 mins

I am travelling to Las Vegas from New Orleans and transit via Houston. both flights are on United and it shows transit time of 35 mins - seems quite short to me - is this ok? its all shown on the same booking.

It is enough time if the first flight is on-time. All terminals and gates at IAH are connected inside security by the Skyway train. If you miss your connection, United has frequent flights from Houston to New Orleans.

1hr 20min layover in Houston, can I make the Phoenix flight on time or do I need to clear customs, immigration, etc. All on the same flight reservation, all United. If not, how much time do I need to get through everything to catch a connecting flight? Thanks for the help.

Yes, in Houston you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security, and to your departure gate. The minimum International to Domestic connection time in Houston is 90 minutes, and I recommend 2 hours.

I'm traveling from Las Vegas to Cancun via Huston and it shows that I have only 1hr 25 mins between flights, will this be enough time ? Are the flights in the same terminal or do we need to get a shuttle ? Thanks in advance.

If both flights are on United, you will arrive in Terminal C and depart from Terminal E. You can walk between them. You should have plenty of time.

I am traveling in februery drom honduras, connecting through houston ti vancouver canada, with 3 kids. My connecting time is 1:25 min, will i have time to go through immigration, costums and connect to my canada flight? It is all on the same airline

That is 5 minutes shorter than the recommended international to international connection time. It's possible, but everything has to go perfectly.

I'm flying from Phoenix to IAH then on to London Heathrow. My layover is only 52 minutes and I have to change terminals. Will that be enough time assuming my flight leaving Phoenix is on time? Thank you!

Yes, that should be enough time. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • how can I move from terminal B to E, then from E to A

I will travel from toronto to Houston, then Costa Rica, and I do have only 45 minutes to move from terminal B to E and when I come back I do have 90 minutes to move from terminal E to A. If all passengers regardles of their background, how can I make it in order to not miss flight. will I be cheched and search again by customs from terminal to terminal. please help. If I new there is a problem of moving from terminal to terminal I never ever bought this ticket but is too late. I do need help please.

On your way to Costa Rica you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security. On your way back, in Houston you will go through US Immigration, customs, and security, but shouldn't have to do anything with your bags as you are on an international to international connection. You should have just enough time.

I am traveling United all the way on this trip. I have a 56 minute connection at IAH. Will I have enough time to receive my stroller(which I will leave with them at gate when I get on first plane) for my infant and get to the next gate? Will I be let off at the same terminal as the connection flight? I also, then assume I will not have to go through security again?

You will not have to go through security again, you should have time to get your stroller and to the next flight but you don't have a lot of time to spare. you will likely arrive in Terminal C and depart from Terminal E.

Im arriving at the internmational terminal as coming from Mexico, but I need to go to terminal A (from the outside) as I need to check in again in Spirit airlines, as there are not Spirit airlines offices in Mexico, is there a way to commute exiting the terminal of international arrival to terminal A from outside as need to get to check in again?

Yes, the SubWay train (formerly called the Inter-Terminal Train) runs underground between the terminals outside security.

  • Connecting from D to possibly B

Hi, I have a flight landing in D at 4pm on Saturday the 30th. will have to clear immigration (UK passport) and then taking another flight with United 3817 to AMA at 6:20pm, I suspect it will be terminal B, is it?. do you think I have enough time? is it tight? thank you

Do you have checked bags? Are your flights on the same reservation or two separate ones?

Arriving United (terminal C?) from DEN then taking United to PLS (terminal E?) with a 55-minute layover. Is that enough time, should the DEN flight not be on time?

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in Houston is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you miss your connection due to the first flight being late you will have to be rebooked on another airline to Providenciales, since United only flies there on Saturdays during the summer. As long as the Denver flight was delayed and you didn't just miss your flight/connection, they should do this for you.

  • Terminal B to Terminal D with luggage

I will be arriving on a domestic flight with a toddler and a lot of luggage to terminal B. I will have to check in again at terminal D. Are there porters available to help me transfer the luggage from terminal B to D?

No, there will not, you could pack a foldable luggage cart or rent a smarte carte to take on the subway train to Terminal D.

Thank you for your response. So, I will be allowed to take the smart carte on the subway. That would help quite a bit. Thanks again.

I am travelling from SJO to Toronto via IAH. In Houston I land in terminal E and then leave to Toronto from Terminal A. I assume I have to collect my bags and clear U.S. customs. I only have 1 hour and 40 minutes. Is this enough time? It's a Sunday morning.

That should be just enough time. If your bags are tagged through to YYZ you should not have to claim them in Houston since you are on an International to International itinerary, but double check with the agents in Houston. you will still have to go through US immigration, customs, and security.

  • Arriving from Moscow Connecting to AMA- split tickets
    Jan 26, 2016

Hello, I am about to purchase tickets for April to fly from Moscow to Houston on Singapore Airlines (arriving at 14:05) and a separate ticket from Houston to Amarillo on United (departing at 17:51) I will need to re check my luggage and get my boarding pass for the Amarillo flight. Will 3 hours and 45 mins be enough time to make that flight? Can anyone tell me what the process will be? Am I correct in assuming I will have to leave security to check in for the Amarillo flight? I am a US citizen.

Yes, that should be enough time. Yes, you will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigation, claim your bags, and go through US Customs. Then you will go to the United check-in counter in Terminal C, check your bags with United and get your United boarding pass and go through security and to your departure gate (which will likely be in Terminal B or A). Alternatively after clearing security. You could take the subway train to Terminal B or A (whichever you depart from) and check your bag and go through security there.
