I'm flying from Managua to Houston to Newark to Amsterdam today with united airlines today. I only have a 90 minute layover in Houston (and 70 in Newark), but in Houston I have to collect and re-check my luggage, says the flight attendant in Managua. Any advice how to make this in time? I am Not a US citizen by the way, I am from Holland. Thanks.
This will be a very difficult connection, just hope everything is on-time and move quickly and hope you can make it. Maybe if you miss your flight to Newark they can rebook you on the nonstop from Houston to Amsterdam.
I am arriving on Air Canada to Terminal A and departing on United Airlines from Terminal E to Managua, 2 1/2 hours later. Will this be enough time to get there? Will we have to re-check our baggage and go through security and customs?
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Canada. All you have to do if both flights are on the same reservation is take the Skyway train from A to E and walk to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.
We will be flying into Houston on United Terminal C then we must transfer to Terminal D for flights on Air New Zealand. Total time between flights is 80 minutes. Will we have to pick-up and recheck bags and is this enough time?
No, you don't have to do anything with your bags. Just walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
We are travelling with Air Canada from Toronto to Huston with exactly a one hour stop over, then going with American Airlines to Puerto Vallerta. Will this be enough time to get there? Will we have to re-check our baggage and go through security and customs again?
American AIrlines does not fly from Houston to Puerto Vallarta. Please double check your reservation. Are you flying United? Are both flights on the same reservation?
I fly tomorrow from vegas to Houston, arriving at terminal 3 gate D55 at 2.39pm. I have to catch the 3.25 from Houston to London. I don't know the terminal yet. I have a bag checked in. Can I make it? Do I need to get my bag and re-check it? I really don't think I can make it if I need to do that?
The gate you are seeing "T3 Gate D55" is your gate in las vegas. In Houston you will arrive in Terminal C and depart from Terminal E. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate if both flights are on United. You have enough time if the flight from Las Vegas is on-time.
We will be returning from LIR (Costa Rica) and connecting to Denver. We have a 90 minuted layover and need to change terminals. Is 90 minutes enough time? And, we have checked baggage, how does that work. Thank you!
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and take the Skyway train or walk to your departure gate.
Provided my flight is on time, I will arrive in Houston at 8:10pm. Connecting flight to Denver is scheduled to depart at 9:50pm. Is that enough time to clear customs, re-check bags and catch the connection? If so and time willing, is there anywhere to grab a sandwich on the way to the connecting flight?
Note that Southwest does not fly to Houston-Bush-Intercontinental Airport. They fly to Houston-Hobby Airport. Yes, that is enough time for your connection. I don't know if you will have time to stop for food.
Hi, I'm a Canadian citizen flying via United Jan. 15th from POS to IAH. Arriving at Terminal E at 1:25pm. Connecting at 3:30pm to Calgary via United at Terminal C. Do I need to go through customs and recheck bags? 2 hours enough time to connect? How do I get from E to C? any tips for speeding this connection up? Thankyou!
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security but will not have to claim and re-check your bags since you are on an International to International connection all on United. Once you clear customs, you can either walk to C and go through security there or go through security in D or E and then walk or take the skyway to C. You have enough time.
I will arrive in houston airport terminal B and I need to go to my connecting flight at terminal D, is my 30 minutes layover enough? i'm not familiar with houston airport, can somebody tell me on what to do toavoid eny problem? thank you
It's not impossible, but it depends on everything going perfectly. You need to run to the Skyway train, take it to Terminal D, and run to your gate.
thank you Zap, however looking at the map, I can only see subway going to terminal D,
