I have a flight on Sat Feb 25 that lands in IAH at 8:10 (United express 6126 from CVG, either B or C I think) and a departing international flight at 8:55 (United 1096) will i have enough time? Worried
That is enough time if the first flight is on-time. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security.
Hi. I'm flying from Vegas to Houston with a 39 minute connection to London Heathrow. This ticket is sold as a legal connection- any advice? Will I go through immigration at Vegas for quick transfer - both flights are United and sold together - thanks
There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if your flight from Las Vegas is on-time.
Hello I have a flight to Austin IAH from Manchester MAN with Singapore Airlines arriving at 2:30pm - there is a connecting flight to Austin at 3:35pm with United; they will automatically transfer the checked bags will I be able to walk to the connecting flight gate or will I have to go through immigration?
That is not enough time. You have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check them with United, go through security and to your departure gate. You need 3 hours.
Hello, I am Canadian, flying to Costa Rica with 2 kids through Houston. We have 1 hour layover and need to get from Terminal B to C. Will we have enough time? Do we need to go through customs? Do we take a tram or walk? Thank you!
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Canada. You have enough time. You have to take the tram.
I'm looking to travel from Costa Rica to Boston. I have a 1:30 connection, I'm Costa Rican so I'll have to do immigration, all flights with United. I have been looking and sees that I arrive in terminal E form LIR and my flight to BOS leaves form terminal C. Would that be enough time to do immigration and cross the terminals? Do I have to go through security again?
That is just enough time if everything goes perfectly. Yes, you will have to go through security again after you clear Customs.
I'm traveling from Brussels to Guatemala with a stopover in Houston (IAH). My layover time is 1h50. On the way back, I fly from Cancun to Brussels via Newark (EWR). Here the layover time is only 1h30. All flights are with United.
Do you think it is possible to do the international transit in such a short time? I've read that United takes care of luggage and that there is no need to re-check it. Is this true for all international flights or only for trips via IAH? If necessary I can travel with hand luggage only.
I've also read about OneStop at IAH. Does that help a lot? And does something similar exist in EWR?
Finally, an important side note - I visited Iran two years ago (I visited the US and Israel after that). To what extent will that make my transit longer? Considering the Trump administration, could it last longer than it used to? I've read that even the ex prime minister of Norway went through lengthy questioning because of an Iranian stamp...
Yes, that is sufficient connection time. That is true only when entering the country at IAH. when you connect at EWR, you will have to claim and re-check your bags. OneStop will help if you can use it.
I am arriving in IAH from Leon/Guanajuanto at 2:52 pm on Feb 19. I am supposed to take a flight from IAH to Chicago at 6:26 pm. Reading the previous posts, I am afraid I don't have enough time to get through immigration, etc. Both flights are United, I'm a US citizen. I can check or carry on a bag. What's your advice? Re-book? Thanks for your help.
WHOOPS! Me again. I got that wrong. I arrive in IAH at 5 pm, leaving I only have 1.5 hours in IAH. Impossible?
Not impossible but pretty close to it. Carry-ons only will help.
