Currently looking at RT flights on United from IND - CUN. Connections seem to be all over the map, but we're wondering if 1:29 would be enough to clear C&I on the way back into the US. Flight would be arriving around 3pm on a Saturday. Thanks in advance!
I recommend at least 2 hours for International to domestic connections in Houston.
Thank you!
Hello. I am looking at booking tickets for a large group (9 people) that has a layover from JFK connecting to Guatemala with only 1 hr 1m. Is that enough time? I’ve never flown through Houston before so I don’t know how far we may have to travel to get to our gate.
What airlines are you flying? No airline flies from JFK to Houston. Please double check your reservation.
Oops LGA is where we will be flying out of
Then if both flights are on United then that's enough time. All you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which should take around 15 minutes.
I am flying from Costa Rica to denver, CO and I have a layover at the IAH for 1.52 mins. IsIs that enough time to go through the checkpoint? My flight arrives in IAH on weekday at 5:45am
That should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
My family will be traveling from Columbus, OH to Roatan, Honduras with a layover in Houston. Our layover is only 70 minutes. Will our luggage be checked straight through to Roatan in Columbus and will we have enough time to make it through customs and to our gate in time to board? We are flying United the whole way through.
Yes, your bags will go straight through. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do on the way to Roatan is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time.
Hi.
I have booked a flight from Bogota to Calgary with a stop in IAH. When I booked the layover in Houston said 2:20 but I notice it really is only 1:20 minutes. I’m Colombian with a multiple entry visa to US. Will this be enough time? Do I have to collect my luggage an re- check it it it goes directly to Calgary. I arrive to Houston with united but my connection is with Aircanada. Also I booked it as a round trip.
Thank you so much
Your bags will be checked through to Calgary since it's an International to International connection. You just have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security. It's still a very difficult connection.
Hello,
I am flying from Frankfurt to Cancun with the stop in Houston (2 hours).
We have a ESTA. Please we will need to take our baggage or it is check-in to our final destination. Also please could you tell me if this is sufficient time for the connecting flight? Thnaks

First time with connecting flight in USA. I'm flying from New Orleans to Vegas with a stop in IAH. How long will i need to get to my connecting flight? And will i need to collect my bags and re check them in. There are options for 58min layover to 3 hours layover. Which will be the best option to be safe?
You don't have to do anything with your bags. If both flights are on the same reservation you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. 58 minutes is possible if everything goes smoothly.
I will be flying from Nicaragua to Washington via Houston on an Australian passport. I have initial immigration approval with ETSA .
I assume I clear immigration here. How long should I allow and will I need to pick up bags and recheck.
How much time do I need to allow?

Kate
Minimum is 90 minutes, but I recommend at least 2 hours. Yes, you will have to claim your bags to take them through US Customs then immediately re-check them.
Hello, I am looking at flying Washington _Houston to Nicaragua all on the same airline . UNITED. The layover is just over 1 hour. I am am
Also on an Australian passport. Is this enough time to catch the connecting flight, and where do I do immigration clearance?.

Thank s.
There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Houston. You have enough time.
I has an employee who will be flying from Mexico City to Panama City with a connection through Houston. She only has a single entry US Visa (she is Panamanian) which was used already. My question is, will she need to clear US customs in Houston when it's just a connection?
Yes, she will have to go through US Immigration and Customs in Houston. She will need a new US Visa (preferably a multiple-entry transit visa).
