Arriving from Brazil at 07:10AM and departing to Mexico at 8:45AM. Hand baggage only. Is the onestop thing available these days?

Both flights are United as well

    Yes, Onestop is available.

Is 1 hour 20 minute connection enough time to make the Guadalajara flight? Need to go through security?

Note: Both flights are with United Airlines

Yes, that is plenty of time. No you do not have to go through security. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security.

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do on your way to Cabo is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you have to change terminals the Skyway train connects all terminals inside security.

  • Connection 7:50pm to 9:20pm

Hello, I am arriving at 7:50pm to IAH from Panama Latin America, and have a connection at 9:20pm towards San Francisco. All in same reservation. No gate has been posted yet. Will I have time to go through Customs, re-check bags and get to boarding gate?? Any tip?

Yes, in Houston you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You have barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.

can I recheck my bags once out of customs or do I have to go outside and start over at the main ticket counter?

If both tickets are on the same reservation, then you can re-check your bags at the re-check desk at the exit of customs.

one ticket is on Avianca the other United not sure what "same reservation" means

did you purchase your tickets in one transaction or two separate transactions?

I'm flying through Houston on Wednesday on United (both flights). Arrive in Terminal C from Newark, leave an hour later from Terminal E for Puerto Vallarta. Is an hour enough time for this transfer, or should I start exploring other options?

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Connection from B to E

My flight got changed with United and now I only have 35 minutes (from land to dep) to go from Terminal B to E for an international flight. Should I even try it? I heard the train should only take 5 minutes or so, but I didn't know if there would be anything else in my way. My first flight is Tulsa > IAH, so I wouldn't think there would be any troubles there, but you never know. Thanks!

Yeah, it's possible. You can call and ask United for an earlier flight from Tulsa if there is one if you're worried.

Hello, I am arriving today to Houston drom Munich and going directly to San Jose, Costa Rica. I have around 3 hrs layover. Do I need to go via customs and check in my luggae again? Will that be enough time for me to manage and get on the flight to San Jose?

You do not have to claim your bags, you can just go through US Immigration and Customs at the Onestop line and then go through security. You have enough time.

on oct 18 i am flying from albuquerque to baton rouge with a connection of 1 hour in IAH. will that be enough time

Yes, that is enough time. Both flights will likely be in Terminal B, but if they are not the Skyway train connects all terminals inside security.

On Dec.16th I am flying United Airlines from San Diego to Memphis with a 39 minute layover. Will I have enough time to make my connection? Thank you.

That is barely enough time if the flight from San Diego is on-time. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security. No need to ask the same question twice.

Hi, we have a flight from Colorado Springs to IAH then have 1 hour to change to our flight from IAH to Miami. We don't know the terminals yet, but our tickets do say we will have to change terminals. Is 1 hour enough time? Thank you.

You will arrive in Terminal B and depart from Terminal C. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.

Hi am arriving 1:55pm on a Friday via Air NZ and trying to connect to a United flight to Mexico. I have purchased a priority pass to reduce times spent in queues. At present I have 2 hours 10 minutes to connect. Is this realistic? Many thanks.

It won't reduce your time spent at immigration or customs, just security. If both tickets are on the same reservation that is just enough time.

  • Do I have enough time?

Hi! I'm traveling from Guatemala (GUA) to the IAH and then taking another airplane to NRT Japan, we arrive at the terminal E and depart from the same terminal. Both flights with United airlines. Do we have enough time? I'm super worried about the time due to the security checks etc. we will travel on November 1st in the morning

In the earlier thread you said you have 90 minutes? If so that is barely enough time. You will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security. Note that you don't have to claim your bags since you are on an International to International connection all on United, so you can use Onestop Immigration and Customs in Houston. That will save you a little time. It still is barely enough.

Yes, I double checked and it is actually 1 hour and 40 minutes. Thank you!

  • Flying from NRT, how long in customs?
    Oct 17, 2016

I will be flying into Houston in December from Tokyo (NRT) and arrive at 7:45 am. There is a delta flight at 10 am to Atlanta I would like to book, but was not sure if 2 hours 15 minutes is enough time in customs with rechecking a bag. Thoughts? How long is the customs process typically on a Friday morning around Christmas?

On two separate reservations, no that is not enough time if you have checked bags.

With carry on only do you think I will have enough time?

Yes, with carry-ons only it's barely enough time if you check in for your Delta flight online before leaving Tokyo.
