I arrive from london in terminal C and leave to Phoenix 1 hour 50 minutes later from terminal E(afternoon). Both flights are United Airlines. Is that enough time ?
You have the terminals reversed, you arrive in E, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate in C. You have just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
I'll be travelling with my daughter on July 14. Departure is from Quito and final destination is Toronto. We have a 1h50 layover in Houston. We have to cross the US immigration and go from terminal E to A. Do I have enough time?
It's not impossible but it's quite difficult unless the flight from Quito arrives early.
Thanks for your answer. One last question, Do I have to go get my bags and re-check them?
If both flights were on United then you wouldn't, I'm not sure about you considering your second flight appears to be operated by Air Canada. Unfortunately you won't get a straight or informed answer from either United or Air Canada about this subject either.
I have a 1hr 15min layover pretty much both ways. (CLT - IAH - SEA & SEA - IAH - SEA) I have to go from United express to United. I have to change terminals. Will an 1hr 15min be enough time? I have 5 people as well traveling with me. Will I have to go through security again? Please & Thanks!
Yes, that is enough time. No you won't have to go through security again. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security.
I don't fly often and am getting worried about my current flight itinerary. I am arriving at IAH from Newark at 9:13 AM and have a connected flight to San Jose, Costa Rica at 10:20 AM. Is this enough time with just a carry on? Any help would be appreciated!
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in Houston is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Thank you so much ZAP for your answer, I really appreciate it!
I am travelling from GDL Mexico to Philadelphia on 13th July. Layover is 1hr 41 minutes at IAH. I am told that arrival is at terminal E and departure from terminal D. Would I have to collect and re-check in my baggage? In either situations, would I have enough time to board the flight to PHL?
You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. Your flight to PHL will depart from C, not D. You have just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
thank you very much. The terminal information was provided by United call centre
Call centre people are probably the worst to ask about things like that. Most of them have never even traveled the airline they "work" for.
Hi, I have a 1.5 hour layover in IAH travelling home to STL from Panama City, Panama. I'm trying to make the last flight of the night, so there were no later options. I have Global Entry, and I will have two checked bags. Layover is 7:45-9:10 PM on a Monday. Any changes I will make my flight?
I also bought traveller's insurance - would united put me up in a hotel if I miss the last flight of the day?
WIth Global Entry and an evening arrival you have a chance if the flight from Panama is on-time. United will only pay for a hotel if the flight from Panama is delayed due to a mechanical problem.
