minor traveling from lga to iah to lim with 2:30min connect time. Is that enough time to get from term c to term e? do they need to do anything with luggage at IAH or is it checked through to LIM?

If both flights were bought on one ticket, bags will automatically be transferred. The above-ground TerminaLink train runs inside security (on arrival, look for its signs; it starts at Terminal A station & connects terminals A, B, C, D/E (a 30 mins transfer). For terminal details open open www.ifly.com/iah, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the text.

  • 55 min connection - C to B terminal

Arriving at or near gate C 41 and next flight leaves from or near gate B23. Is this enough time for a safe transfer? Is walking possible? Thx!

You arrive at Terminal C, South Concourse, and need to get to Terminal B, Southwest Concourse. Take the above-ground 'TerminaLink' Train (inside security) to Terminal B (follow signs) - transfer time: about 30 mins max.

  • Layover time International to International - is 1h45 enough?

I will fly FRA - IAH - YEG (Edmonton, Canada) on a Sunday. Arrival IAH at 1:45pm Terminal D with LH, dept. at 3:30 Terminal C with UA. It's one ticket sold by LH. Is that tight? Would you recommend using the One Stop program and travel with carry on luggage only (would be challenging, but possible). There is no later direct flight to Edmonton, missing the connection would be painful.

If your flight is on-time you should be able to make the connection either with or without checked bags. Also, if you miss your connection United still may be able to get you to Edmonton that evening by rebooking you through Denver.

  • Re-check Baggage? Domestic-Internationl Flight

Hi, Im traveling from LAX to Durango Mexico, and connecting in IAH with United. I have a layover wait of 2hrs and 50 mins.Question is will I have to recheck my luggage or will the airline take care of transferring my luggage ot the different airplane? Also will I have to go through security check or TSA in order to get to my departure gate again? and last one, if I have enough time during the layover can I get out of the airport to sightse? and willI have to go through TSA or security check in order to get to my gate?

On your way to Mexico you won't have to do anything with your luggage at IAH, you will just have to go from your arrival gate (likely Terminal C) to your departure gate (Likely Terminal B). The TerminaLink train connects all Terminals inside security. You do not have enough time to see any sights.

Got a flight connection tomorrow from Mcallen(MFE) to Kansas city (MCI) but so far i haven't been able to get any terminal or gate information and only have 30 minutes to get to the next flight!

You will arrive in Terminal A or B (likely B) and depart from terminal B or C (likely B). If you have to change terminals the TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time, especially if both are in Terminal B.

  • munich to las vegas

hi we are travelling from Munich to Las Vegas through IAH on June 23.with United Airlines. arrivel terminal E, departure terminal B. connecting time 1.35 hours. This is our first time in the US, need some info about everything. :) thx

To get 'everything' info I suggest you open www.ifly.com/iah /las then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text, paying attention to International arrivals (at iah) terminals & transfers.

Your departure to Las Vegas will not be from Terminal B, it will likely be in Terminal C. You will barely have enough time if your first flight is on-time. You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US customs, then re-check your bags, then go to the departure level go through security, and then to your departure gate.

And what if we cannot make the it, would United offer us another flight to Vegas or we will need to pay for another tickets?

  • International Transfer 1.5hrs enough?
    May 9, 2014
    1
I'm flying through IAH on the 8th of July. From London Heathrow to IAH with United Airlines and back out with United Airlines to Bogota, Colombia. On a UK passport. Will 1.5hrs be enough time for the transfer? Thanks!

You will arrive at & depart from IAH, at Terminal E. On arrival, go through secure corridors, walk across the sky bridges to adjoining Federal Inspection Services (FIS), claim bags & clear U.S. Customs; then re-check in your baggage at the recheck counters and proceed back to your connecting gate. Your transfer time should suffice.

I arrive in houston at 11:51pm from Newark in Terminal C. Will i make my connecting flight at Terminal D at 1:00am?

tight connection .. take the "terminal-link" train (above ground, within security) to go from "C" to "D". Do not take the underground train - slow & outside security.

Could I run to terminal D?

Yes, you could run as well, but you should have plenty of time if you purchased your flights together and United is able to check your bags through to your second flight in Newark.

I'm flying from Richmond to Newark on United, then Newark to Houston on United, then Houston to Beijing on Air China.

Yes, in that case United should check your bags through to Beijing in Richmond and you won't have to do anything with them in Newark or Houston.

  • 15 hours transit at IAH, what to do?
    May 6, 2014

Hi, i will be flying from SFO - IAH - LEX with a 15 hour connection at IAH on United! May you give me some ideas what to expect there? Will there be proper places where i can sleep (overnight) and eat and bathe and so on :( also, will there be any interesting things to do? This will be the first time I arrive at the states so sorta clueless as to what will happen :( thanks loads!

Unless you get a hotel, the only place you will have to sleep is the floor of the baggage claim area. All the places to eat will close at about 10 PM, and you will have nowhere to bathe but the sink of the restrooms. There is nothing to do in the airport.

oh no :'( hope it is not too terrible. Btw is it possible for me to go outside to houston and visit some of the city's attractions? I've got a friend living there so probably he can pick me up and drive me around. What are some of the nice places worth visiting there? Thank u!

Yes, you can leave if you'd like. There's not many attractions in Houston, maybe you could have a late taco dinner.

What about the Space Center and such? Are they close to the airport? I am actually kinda looking forward to enjoying a bit of Houston instead of being confined in IAH hahah. Also, will there be a baggage maintenance service so that I can leave my bags at the airport while going out to the city? Thanks a lot again!

We get in to IAH from PIT at 813AM in Terminal C. Our flight to Cozumel then leaves at 845AM from Terminal E. Both flights are United. Is there any way we are going to make our flight to CZM?

The above-ground TerminaLink train inside security starts at Terminal A station & connects terminals A, B, C, D/E (a 30 mins transfer); follow signs to E-gates. Your time does not allow for flight delay.

Is it quicker to walk or use the train? We are in decent shape and not afraid of a quick walk

C and E are directly connected, I would recommend walking.

Hello, I'm travelling through IAH on Saturday July 5th, arriving on LH440 from FRA and I have a connection to BOG United flight 1007. The layover is 1hr 39mins. This has been booked through Lufthansa so my bag should be checked through to Bogota. I was wondering if there is a premium service, payable, for immigration and security to fast-track through? As otherwise, I fear I will miss my connection. Thank you in advance.

There is no fast-track service. You should have enough time. A Saturday on a holiday weekend in the US will likely be very quiet.

I am arriving from Paris (Air France) at Terminal D and then have a flight to Denver from Terminal A with Spirit Airlines. My flights are booked on separate tickets and so my bags will not be transferred by airline. Could you tell me the way (step by step) to get from terminal D to A? Where do I go to get the inter terminal train (if required)? I arrive at 14:00 and depart at 17:30 so have a 3:30 connection. Is this enough time to make the connection? Thank you !

The Inter-Terminal train is located in the basement of Terminal D/E. You should have enough time. Be sure to check-in for your Spirit Airlines flight online as there is a fee to check-in at the airport.

  • Connection Time DFW to IAH to CUN on United
    Apr 28, 2014
    1
Three of my family will be flying in August [Mon 8/4] from DFW to CUN connecting through IAH. DFW to IAH on United Express 4283 arriving IAH at 12:39 pm, IAH to CUN on UA 1018 departing 2:20 pm. 1 hour and 41 minutes layover. Is this enough time? My youngest daughter will be flying MSY to CUN via IAH where she will also connect on UA1018. She has a 3 hour and 54 minute layover. She is concerned that the three of us flying from DFW might miss our connection and she'd be stuck flying the IAH to CUN leg alone. Please advise if the 1:41 is sufficient for a connection from United Express to UA 1018.

Yes, if your flight from DFW is on-time you should have plenty of time. You will depart from Terminal E. Terminal E is connected to the other terminals inside security by the TerminaLink train.

Arriving gate B79 departing E9 , 40 minutes between flights, is this enough time??

On arrival, take the above-ground TerminaLink train inside security (follow signs), which starts at Terminal A station & connects terminals A, B, C, D/E (a 30 mins transfer).

  • DOMESTIC-INTERNATIONAL CONNECTION

4 of us are flying from Tulsa Oklahoma to Roatan with a 55 minute layover in Houston to Hondoras. Is that enough time between flights and do we have to get our bags and recheck them?

That depends on what airlines you use. IAH has Terminals A through D. (United uses all but D). If trip was bought on one ticket, bags will be transferred (or if second airline is member of same Alliance or code-shares with first). I suggest you open www.ifly.com/iah, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text.

We will be flying from Tulsa to Honduras all on united. I cant tell what terminal we land in Houston from Tulsa. I haven't purchased the tickets yet because I am trying to be certain we can make our connection. I will be purchasimg all 4 tickets at once.

That will be enough time if your first flight is on-time. However, it doesn't leave much time for any delays and depending on the season, flights to Roatan only operate once a week.
