Looking at United flights from ORD to IAH to Merida, Mexico. Layover in IAH is 41 minutes. Enough time to make the flight to Mexico? I'm not sure how much distance there is between the domestic terminal and the international. And even if I can make the connection, thoughts on whether my luggage makes it?

It's possible. You do have to move quickly and your first flight has to be on-time.

In Feb. we arrive from Seattle at 2:42 PM and fly out to Lima, Peru at 3:55 PM. Both flights are on United. We'll have carry on luggage only. Do we have enough time to make the connection?

Yes, that is plenty of time. All you have to do at IAH is walk from your arrival gate (in terminal C or E) to your departure gate in Terminal E.

I have a connection flight to buenos aires arriving from monterrey. I arrive at 7:46pm (gate time arrival) and boarding for the flight to buenos aires begins at 8:15pm departing at 9 pm. Bags will be sent all the way to buenos aires. Seems i arrive with united airlines to terminal d or e and leave from c16 with united airlines as well. Will i make it?

1 hr 14 minutes for an International->International connection is really pushing it. Your first flight will have to be early and you will have to hurry.

We are looking at a flight from Liberia, Costa Rica to IAH with only a 1 hour 14 minute connection time for the flight to Calgary. I am unsure if the terminals are different. Is this enough time?

That's 16 minutes below the minimum connection time for such a connection. You can try it but it will depend on your inbound flight being on time, preferably early. You will arrive in Terminal E and depart from Terminal A if flying Air Canada or C if on United.

I am flying from Edmonton to New Orleans, via Houston. I am assuming our bags will be checked right through. Will I have to go through security again to board flight to New Orleans. I am wondering, if I buy Duty Free (alcohol) in Edmonton, will I be able to carry it on with me on my flight to New Orleans?

You will not have to go through security as long as you take the TerminaLink train between terminals in Houston (if you need to change Terminals).

Hello, please tell me if I might make the following connection on October 14: UA 1406 arriving at 7:35 pm connecting to UA 1687 leaving at 9:00 pm. I have carry-on only and a Global Passport.

That is 5 minutes below the published minimum time but you will probably be OK.

United changed our flight schedule and now we arrive with a party of 6 into IAH at 2:00 PM from Amsterdam on December 20, 2014 and our connecting flight is at 3.37 PM to Denver. Do we have enough time to recheck our baggage and go through immigration? do we have to go through security once again?

Yes, that shouldl be enough time. Yes, after you re-check your baggage you will go through security.

I'm trying to plan a trip from DCA to Las Vegas. Is a 41 minute layover enough time between flights?

Yes but it doesn't leave much time for delays. Both flights will likely be in terminal c.

I am arriving on an United flight from Monroe, LA at 4:55 and my Qatar Airways flight leaves at 6:16pm. I think I have made a booking mistake and will not have enough time to get my luggage and checked in at Qatar Airways. What do you think??? Thank you.

Yes, that is not enough time. You will have to change your flights.

I'm flying from Calgary to Houston and arriving in Terminal A. My connecting flight leaves from Terminal B. Will I have to go back through security to switch terminals?

No, you will not. The TerminaLink train connects Terminal A and Terminal B inside security.

I'm considering booking a flight from Grand Junction to Lima, Peru through IAH with a 55 minute layover. Is 55 minutes enough time to catch the connecting flight?

Yes, that should be enough time. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.

I'm flying from San Jose, Costa Rica to London via Houston on United. My flight from Costa Rica arrives to Houston at 8:00 pm and my connection leaves at 9:10 pm. I know I have to go through customs/immigration and I heard I might have to recheck my bags. Is an hour enough to make my connection? Thank you in advance

That isn't really enough time. 90 minutes is the minimum connection time.

will fly YEG Canada, arriving Houston at 5.13 with United 1108 and next flight with United to San Jose Costa Rica UA 1055 at 7.20 am on March28. It is the start of Spring Break and I am worried two hours will not be enough to catch our next flight. Any idea what terminal we will arrive and if we have enough time. Travelling with 3 teens.

2 hours should be plenty of time. You will arrive in Terminal C and depart from Terminal E. You should pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Edmonton, so your arrival into Houston will be like a domestic flight. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

That should be plenty of time.

Yes, that should be enough time to make your connection.
