I fly in the afternoon from Huntsville to IAH with a flight out of IAH to Frankfurt, Germany. My connection time is 50 minutes and I will have checked bags. Is this too tight? What if I didn't check bags?
That is enough time if the flight from Huntsville is on-time. You don't have to do anything with your bags in Houston on the way to Huntsville, so bags don't matter.
We arrive from Harlingen,TX at Gate B5 and depart to Detroit at Gate B85. We have 30 minutes between flights. Will we have enough time? How far between gates? Should we request a motorized cart? If so, how do we do this?
That is enough time if everything goes smoothly. You can't specifically request a cart. Those are for people who have wheelchair service who need to go a long way. Just follow the signs and move as quickly as you can.
I am arriving from Montreal at 8.05 PM and have a connecting flight to Guatemala City at 9.55 PM. I was given contradictory information regarding the baggage by United employees so I am not sure whether I need to re-check the baggage or not. First, I was told that yes, I had to do it, and then that the baggage will be checked through till my final destination. Both flights are booked through United, but the air carrier of the first fllght is Air Seoul. Please advise, thank you!
On your way to Guatemala, since you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal, you don't have to do anything with your bags in Houston. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Air Seoul does not fly from Montreal to Houston, so both flights will be on United.
Hi, I'll be flying from Minneapolis and connecting in Houston with a 95 min layover before going from Houston to Auckland. Wil this be sufficient time considering I am an Australian citizen?
Yes, that is enough time. If both flights are on the same reservation then all you have to do in Houston is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US.
On friday 14 my boyfriend will be flying into IAH from Omaha and then will connect to a flight from IAH to Mexico. He only will have one hour to make the connection between flights. Will it be enough time? He will only travel with a carry-on. Thank you in advance,
I forgot to say, both flights are with United.
Yes, that is enough time. All he has to do in Houston is go from his arrival gate to his departure gate. The Skyway train connects all terminals inside security.
Thank you for your kind reply! We don't know yet what terminal he will be landing, but we suppose it will be at T.B and then move to an international departures terminal(maybe T.E) Is that too far? How many time takes the train between terminals?
Taking the train from B to E shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes.
Ok. Thank you for your help!
Hello! It is me again. I apologize in advance because I don´t want to mean a bother. We have been wondering if -since my boyfriend will connect from Houston to Mexico- he will have to pass through security again or if he will be asked for a passport review before he take the flight to Mexico City? I am a little worried because I will be waiting for him at the Mexico City Airport and I hope he can make it on time. Thank you very much.
Hi, I'm flying from POS to Denver connecting in IAH. What do I have to do? I have a layover of 3 hours.
You will arrive in Terminal E, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate in Terminal C or E. You have enough time.
Both flights are with United. Can you confirm if it will be terminal C or E?
Yes, United flights from Houston to Denver leave from C or E. Usually C
i'm flying LHR to IAH and then IAH to MGA. Since both flight are with United, do you confirm that I won't have to pick-up my checked luggages and that i'll be able to use the OneStop Line? I have a 1h35 connection but with the OneStop I hope it will be fine!
Yes, you can use Onestop.
Nice! Is the OneStop's queue much more faster ?
It really depends on how many people from your flight are using it.
I will be flying in August with my husband. We have both never been on a plane as adults and are nervous. We will fly from Minnesota to IAH to connect with our flight to Mexico and will only have one hour layover. The flights are booked through a travel agency with the same airline for each flight. Will this be enough time? Do we go through security again and or have to recheck luggage?
Has anyone made it through customs and baggage with a cabin pet? I'll have my cat with me in cabin and have transited IAH numerous times internationally with 1.5hrs but never with a cat. Is it possibly or should I bet on missing my connecting flight? Thanks!
