HI, i am flying from London Heathrow with United Airlines to San Jose, Costa Rica, with a stop over in Houston international airport. I only have an hour and 30 minutes to get from one flight to the next. Is this enough time, will I make the filght?

That is the minimum allowable time for your transfer. You will have to go through US Immigration and Customs, but since you are on an international to international connection you should not have to claim your bags to do so. However, confirm that with the United agents in London and Houston.

I have a connecting flights with United at Houston Texas arrival 04:38 pm flight 1547 departing 05:55 pm Flight 1131. Is there enough time to connect and what gates (are they close)?

If 1547 is domestic that should be enough time. Both flights will be in C or E (likely C). They are large terminals but all gates are connected inside security. Assuming 1547 is domestic, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Will 2 hr 25 min be enough to clear US customs from PVR Mexico & board United to CLT?. I will just have carry on & arrive @ 2 PM.

Yes, that should be plenty of time.

Hi, I have a flight with a layover in IAH coming from Europe and traveling through to Nicaragua. Is 90 minutes going to be enough for the transfer?

That is the minimum allowable time for your transfer. You will have to go through US Immigration and Customs, but since you are on an international to international connection you should not have to claim your bags to do so. However, confirm that with the United agents in your origin and Houston.

I have a connection flight in IAH arriving at 8:08 and leaving 8:45 for Puerto Vallarta. Will this be enough time? Are several flights that leave for Puerto Vallarta daily?

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. If you need to change terminals the TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security. During the spring there are multiple daily flights from IAH to PVR on most days.

Arriving Houston 8:55 am Flight UA 1434. Departing UA 4256 at 10:00 am. Can you tell me how to get from one gate to the other and will my luggage be transferred for me?

If 1434 is domestic (which it appears it usually is) you will arrive in Terminal C. 4256 will depart from Terminal B. They are connected inside security by the TerminaLink train. Your baggage will be transferred for you. You should have plenty of time if your first flight is on-time.

Also, note you may also depart from Terminal A, but the procedure is the same, you just take the train to Terminal A instead. You can find your exact departure terminal and gate on the day of your flight from the monitors, united.com, or the united app.

  • calgary to houston to cancun

I purchased separate flights due to cost. My flights are calgary, canada to houston and then houston to cancun. We will not be checking in bags. Is 1h2m enough time to get through customs and get to our second flight? Thanks

my flights are with united and we are leaving in april

What airlines are you flying? I'm guessing the flight to Cancun is on United? The issue is that you may not be able to check in online or at a non-staffed counter for your flight to Cancun because your passport details need to be confirmed. Perhaps the agent in Calgary can do this for you and issue both boarding passes. If you are able to get your Cancun boarding pass before you leave Calgary you will have plenty of time as you will pre-clear US Immigration in Calgary and only have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Houston. However, if you are not able to get your Cancun boarding pass you will have a very difficult time making it because you will have to run to a staffed counter and get your boarding passes.

I'm arriving in Houston from New Orleans may 24th at 8:30am and leaving for Vancouver at 9:15am. What terminals will I be using, do I have enough time between flights for myself and my luggage to make the connection.

I failed to mention that I will be flying on United Airlines

You will arrive in Terminal B or C and depart from Terminal E. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

I am travelling from Edmonton YEG to Miami MIA with connections in Houston IAH. We are travelling with 4 adults, including 1 who has trouble walking quickly, and 2 kids 6 and 9 years old. We have 1 hour 25 mins on the way to Miami and only 55 Mins on the way home. Both flights are with United. Do we have enough time? Will our flights be in different terminals (domestic to international). Will there be a place to buy food and will we have time for that?

On your way to Miami you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Edmonton. All you have to do both ways is just walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates are connected inside security. You have enough time. There are lots of places to buy food in the Houston Airport.

Our flight from CLE arrives @ 10:51 am and our connecting flight to Huatulco is @ 11:26. Is this enough time for international flight connection?

Yes, if your first flight is on-time that should be barely enough time. However, as you may know, there's only one flight to Huatulco daily, so you'll be stuck in Houston for 24 hours if you miss your connection.

and I now only have 56 minutes to make my connecting flight. I will be coming from Tulsa (United, terminal B) and going to Frankfurt (Lufthansa, terminal D) will that be enough time? And do I have to check in/pick up my luggage etc or can I just got straight to my gate? :)

You can go straight to your gate via the TerminaLink train. You should have enough time if your flight from Tulsa is on-time.

Thanks for the quick answer! :)

  • How much time between terminal A and B I have 15 minutes to get there
    Feb 6, 2015

I have to pick up someone.

Via the three ways you can get between the terminals - The TerminaLink train (inside security), the Inter-Terminal Train (outside security), and driving. I'd say all take 10-15 minutes.
