I flying out of Belize, to IAH then to YYC with 1 hour 40 minutes between flights. Is that enough time to get through customs and go to the next termianl? thx

Yes, that should be barely enough time if your flight from Belize is on-time.

  • Question about my grandpa traveling from Greece with Turkish airlines

Hello, I would like to ask and see if there is any way that I can meet my grandfather who is 90 years old, does not speak english and he is traveling from Athens Greece with Turkish airlines to your airport. He has a separate connection to Albuquerque and I would like to meet him in HOU and travel with him and get him to the next airline. Who can I ask for help; where can I possibly meet him? Thank you, Anna

First of all this is not the airport's website. Once he clears US Customs in Terminal D he will be outside security. You could meet him there. If you are traveling with him to Albuquerque you could then go through security together and to your departure gate, if you are not traveling then you will not be allowed to go through security.

Hello! My mom is going to visit me in US. She will arrive from Frankfurt, Germany and after that has a flight with UA from HOU to BRO,TX. But she is not speaking English at all, she is 62 and has high blood pressure. Is there any service to help her go through? I saw wheelchairs from AirServ there. Can I order it and where? Thanks.

If she needs wheelchair service she can request it by contacting her airline.

But if it's not connected flights, we bought separate tickets, whom should we ask? Lufthansa or United Airlines?

You will have to ask both then.

Hi, I will be traveling from Monterrey Mexico to Miami with a stop in IAH. My flight from Monterrey Mexico is scheduled to arrived at 2:18pm to terminal E (Aeromexico airlines). Then I have to take the flight to Miami in terminal A (American Airlines) at 4:45 pm. Do I have enough time for my connection? Do I have to exit the terminal and then do the check in for my next flight at terminal A?

Aeromexico does not use Terminal E, they use Terminal D. Since it sounds like you purchased two separate reservations you will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then take the Inter-Terminal Train to Terminal A and re-check your bags with American at the AA ticket counter (you will have to pay a checked bag fee), get your AA boarding pass, and go through security.

  • Terminal A arrival need to use United Club with Shower

My CEO is arriving in Terminal A and needs to shower prior to a meeting. Best options for doing this? Does he need to go through security to get to terminal C?

The TerminaLink train runs inside security between all terminals. if your CEO is a United Club member he can take the TerminaLink train to C after he arrives and use the Club.

I like this Airport very much, was there for 5 times.Usually I fly to Costa Rica. The only convenient way for me to get to and from the Airport is taking a taxi (usually I use http://kiwitaxi.com). Last time I got up so late, but fortunatelly I got in time for my flight!

Hello. I will be flying in to Houston International Airport from Guatemala. The flight is scheduled to arrive at 4pm. I have a separate flight booked to New Orleans at 550 and will have to clear customs (I am an Irish citizen) and get my bags. Have I left myself with enough time? I spoke to a representative of the airline I'm flying with and she said the connection time should be fine, but I'm still not sure.

It's 20 minutes longer than the minimum time and about 10 minutes shorter than what I recommend. You should be fine, and if you do miss your connection, United has lots of flights from Houston to New Orleans you can be rebooked on.

Thanks Zap. I'm looking at flights for the later flight (today, as an example) and it is cheaper than changing my flight now, so I will leave it and hope for the best (may be see if I can take my luggage on the flight. Thanks for your help.

Both flights will likely be in Terminal B. Your flight from Shreveport may arrive in Terminal A. If you have to change Terminals, all terminals are connected inside security by the TerminaLink train.

  • MEX - IAH - AMS / UA

Hi, I'm flying from MEX to AMS via IAH both on UA. I have 2 hours and 10 minutes between flights. I'm a European Union Citizen and have my ESTA / Visa Waiver in place. I would like to know if I need to recover my luggage or will the luggage be booked through all the way to AMS? Thanks in advance!

Since you are on an International to International connection on United through IAH you should not have to claim your bags in IAH. However, confirm that with United agents in MEX and IAH.

  • Travelling to Europe via IAH

I am travelling from Veracruz to London via IAH. Both flights are international with arrival to terminal E and departure from terminal D. I know that I have to go through immigration control but I have valid only B-1 visa (business visa). Is this type of visa good enough to make transit in IAH airport or I have to have C1-D visa(transit visa)?

A B-1 Visa is more "powerful" than a C1 Visa, so you can transit on your B-1 Visa.
