Goteborg City GSE Airport Overview

Goteborg City Airport GSE - also known as Save Flygplats - is Goteborg's 'other' international airport and serves Sweden's Bohuslan area and the island of Hisingen with mostly low-cost airlines.

The Airport is located 15 km northwest of the city center of Goteborg, on the island of Hisingen, in Bohuslan.  (Driving time to both Goteborg-Landvetter, the main airport, and Goteborg City airport is about the same). Goteborg City Airport can be reached from the E6 motorwaay, the E20 or Truk Road 40, or the E45.

With an estimated 800,000 passengers a year, Goteborg City Airport is served by low-cost airlines Ryanair, Gotlandsflyg and Wizz Air offering direct flights to European cities with connections worldwide.

Note that the baggage drop desk closes 40 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

Goteborg City Airport has one passenger terminal.  (For more information, please refer to 'Terminal Map' page.)

Parking at Goteborg City Airport is available (a) in the new parking garage or in the short- and long-term parking lots close to or within walking distance of the terminal. The long-term carpark is enclosed with locked gates at night.

To get from Goteborg City Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi, or take a bus, or a bus to the train:
The Airport offers bus services which coincide with every Ryanair, Air Berlin and Wizz Air departure/arrival, terminating at the city's bus and train terminal within 30 minutes (cost: 60 SEK).
There is also a bus stop 600 meters from the terminal for Bus 36 'Save Flygplats' located on Kongahaellavagen, taking you to the suburbs.
