Gran Canaria LPA Airport Overview

Gran Canaria Airport LPA – also known as Las Palmas Aiport - serves Spain's island of Gran, part of the Canari islands.

LPA Airport is located 19 km south of the Island’s capital,  and province of, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, or 25 km from the popular tourist areas. It is situated on the eastern side of Gran island, at the Bay of Gando and is directly accessible from main highway GC1, which  provides fast transport links to Las Palmas in the North and to the popular tourist resorts in the South.

With two long runways and an estimated 10 million flyers yearly, Gran Canaria Airport is hub to Binter Canarias Airline and is served by a host of national and international, regular and low-cost airlines offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe, and by seasonal charters.

Gran Canaria Airport has a three-level passenger terminal.

Rental car counters for major rental cars are located in the passageway connecting Zones A & B.

NOTE: Winter season 2015 changes:  Since the end of October 2015, all passengers traveling from Gran Canaria Airport with airlines assisted by the groundforce handling agent will start at 'Facturacion 2' near counters 201-234. This includes the following airlines: Air Europa, Tuifly, Transavia Holland,, EasyJet, Germanwings, Nova Airlines, Edelweiss Air, EasyJet Switzerland, Austrian, Airlines, Corendon Dutch Airlines, Sunexpress Deutschland, Sata, Internacional, Volotea, Transavia France, Mistral Air, XL Airways France, Orenburg Airlines, Air France, Swiss International Airlines, Trade Air, SC Carpatair, Alitalia, White Airways, Alba Star, Utair Aviation y Grand Cru Airlines.
