GTF Airport Overview
Great Falls International GTF Airport is located about three miles from the City of Great Falls, Montana, 120 miles from the Canadian border, and 93 miles northeast of Helena, the state capital. It is also within a few hours' drive from Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. A few major airlines service the airport offering nonstop flights to Helena, Bozeman, Salt Lake City, Denver, Minneapolis, Seattle, Phoenix & Las Vegas. The passenger terminal offers the following amenities: a full-service restaurant; banquet facilities for up to 300 people; a gift shop, meeting rooms; a video conference room; a business center with high-speed internet; and Wi-Fi access in the lobby. GTF airport opened at its current site in 1929, but has undergone major renovations and expansions since then. During the period 2000-2006 it completely overhauled its infrastructure and made significant organizational improvements. With the addition of the Category III ILS, its infrastructure is now second to none and GTF Airport's focus for the period 2007-2012 has shifted to its business development.
