Groningen Airport Eelde GRQ is located near the town of Eelde, 9 km south of the city of Groningen, in the province of Groningen, The Netherlands, and is easily accessible via motorway A28 (Groningen - Essen).
With two runways and an estimated 180,000 passengers a year, Groningen Airport Eelde is presently served by Corendon, Ryanair & Transavia airlines offering flights to U.K. cities with connections worldwide, and charter flights to venues in Greece, Portugal, Spain, Turkey and the Tenerife & Grand Canary islands.

Information desk is open Mon-Fri 9am-6pm; & Sat 10am-5pm. For Air traffic info, call Mon-Fri 6:30am-11pm; w’end/holidays 7:30am-9:30pm. Wi-Fi service from T-Mobile HotSpots is available, as well as a rental car desk for Avis, Hertz & Europcar. You can also find a duty-free shop, a cash machine (no currency exchange), travel agency, coffee corner, baby room, passport photo machine, and a children’s play area (in the departure hall).
SIG Groundservice has an information desk in the passenger terminal and is responsible for all aspects of luggage and passenger handling, including check-in, luggage loading or unloading, and also manages air cargo shipments.
Parking options at Groningen Airport Eelde include P1 through P4 for long- and short-term parking: P1 & P2 short-term parking is in front of the terminal. Ticket machines are located in front of the restaurant and in the middle of the parking area. Disabled parking is in P1 closest to the terminal. Note that in the winter season, up to mid-April, P2 may be used for long-term parking.
The P4 parking lot is intended for long-term parking (over a day) and is closed when there are no flights at the airport. It opens two hours before the departure of the first holiday charter flight and closes half an hour after the last arriving or departing flight. The P4 parking area also has a ticket machine.
P3 is for visitors with an appointment at the main office of the airport only.
To get from Groningen Airport Eelde to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi or a bus. It takes only 11 minutes to get to town.
1. The Qbuzz, Bus 2 (tel. 0900-7289965) departs the airport to Groningen Central Station every half hour Mon-Sat, & every hour Sundays.
2. The Airport Liner bus is available only to passengers on Ryanair arriving from or departing to Girona, Milan & Mallorca. The bus starts at Martini Hotel Groningen & continues to Central Station Groningen, and to the Airport via Ketwich Verschuurlaan. The entire trip takes about 40 mins.
