Guadalajara International Airport GDL, also known as Don Miguel Hidalgo & Costilla Airport, is located in the town of Tlajomulco de Ziniga, State of Jalisco, and is 16 km from the city center of Guadalajara, Mexico. Guadalahara Airport is accessible via highway 23 towards Chapala, which is 15 km from the airport.  With two runways at an elevation of 5,016 feet, and 6.5 mllion passengers a year, it is a secondary hub for Aeromexico, and a hub for Mexicana, Aeromexico Connect and MexicanaLink airlines. GDL Airport is the third-busiest airport in Mexico.  Flight destinations in the United States include the cities of Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, L.A. Ontario, Phoenix, San Francisco, & San Jose.

Guadalajara Airport has two passenger terminals close to each other, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2: 
Terminal 1, the International Terminal, has been extended  by adding a new concourse and taxiways.
Terminal 2, the Domestic Terminal, serves exclusively express and regional flights.
Each Airline has its own information counter (or call 033 3688 5120), and the tourist information desk assists with hotel reservations. Bank branch & ATMs, currency exchange & post office, as well as restaurants, bars, shops & duty-free shop are at your service. A small meeting room and the Mexicana airline lounge with business facilities are available.

The Airport also has an on-site hotel, the Casa Grande, connected to the passenger terminal complex by covered walkway, offering a business center (tel. 033 378 9000).
Parking is available next to the hotel, as well as across from the terminal complex. 

To get from the Airport to your destination, you can rent a car (over 10 rental car agencies to choose from), take a taxi (you can pay for & reserve a taxi at the taxi counter inside the terminal), or take a bus:
Servicio Colectivo is the airport minibus stationed outside the terminal, which takes you to the city center, comes around every hour and takes about 35 minutes.  You can purchase tickets at its booth located outside of Arrivals.
