Guadalajara International Airport GDL, also known as Don Miguel Hidalgo & Costilla Airport, served the Mexican State of Jalisco and its major City Guadalajara. It is managed by GAP, which was recently recognized as 'Super Empresa 2010'.

The Airport is located in the town of Tlajomulco de Ziniga, Jalisco State, and is 16 km from the city center of Guadalajara, Mexico. It is accessible via highway 23 towards Chapala, which is 15 km from the airport.  It is the third-busiest airport in Mexico.

With two runways at an elevation of 5,016 feet, and an estimated 6.9 million passengers a year, Guardalajara International Airport is a hub for Aeromexico Connect, secondary hub for AeroMexico, and focus city for VivaAerobus, Interjet & Volaris, and is served by domestic and U.S. airlines, as well as charters.

NOTE: For international flights, arrive 3 hours before scheduled departure, for domestic flights 2 hours.

The on-airport hotel is the 'Casa Grande', which is connected to the passenger terminal complex by covered walkway, and offers a business center (tel. 033 378 9000).

Guadalajara Airport has two passenger terminals close to each other - T1 and T2. (For detailed terminal information, click on 'Terminal Map'.) 

Parking options at Guadalajara Airport include a parking lot next to the hotel, as well as one across from the terminal complex. Parking fees need to be paid in Mexican pesos

Rental car counters for major rental car agencies are located in the arrivals area of the terminal.

To get from Guadalajara Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi (you can pay for & reserve a taxi at the taxi counter inside the terminal), or take a bus:
Servicio Colectivo is the airport minibus stationed outside the terminal, which takes you to the city center, comes around every hour and takes about 35 minutes.  You can purchase tickets at its booth located outside of Arrivals.
