Guadalajara International Airport GDL
, also known as Don Miguel Hidalgo & Costilla Airport, serves the Mexican State of Jalisco and its major City Guadalajara. It is managed by GAP (Grupo Aeroprtuario del Pacifico) and is Mexico's third-busiest airport .
GDL Airport is located in the town of Tlajomulco de Ziniga, Jalisco State, and is 16 km from city center of Guadalajara, Mexico. It is accessible via highway 23 towards Chapala -15 km from the airport (with Lake Chapala, the largest lake in Mexico).
With two runways at an elevation of 5,016 feet, and 1.4M passengers in 2016, Guadalajara International Airport is hub to Aeromexico Connect, secondary hub for AeroMexico, and focus city for VivaAerobus, Interjet & Volaris, and is served by domestic and U.S. airlines, as well as by charters.
For international flights, arrive 3 hours before scheduled departure, for domestic flights 2 hours.
The on-airport hotel is the 'Casa Grande' is connected to the passenger terminal complex by covered walkway.
Guadalajara Airport has two passenger terminals - T1 and T2.
Parking options at Guadalajara Airport include a parking lot next to the hotel, as well as one across from the terminal complex. Parking fees need to be paid in Mexican pesos.
