- HGR Airport Overview
Hagertstown Regional Airport HGR is located on Route 11, about three miles north of Hagerstown, Maryland, and is among the oldest continuously-operating U.S. airports. At present, Cape Air, a regional independent airline, which recently won the airline accolades as 'Best Airline' on Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard and in the US Virgin Islands, offers daily scheduled flights, while the low-fare air carrier Allegiant offers twice-a-week scheduled flights to Orlando-Sanford with a complete vacation package.
If you are being dropped off or being picked up, your vehicle can pull right up to the front door of the terminal. Short- and long-term parking is available right across the street from the terminal and its exit leads to a simple road without confusing merging traffic patterns--saving you time and aggravation. Three rental car agencies do business at the Airport. To get from the Airport to your destination you can take either the Washington County Commuter Bus making regular stops at the airport and offering curb-to-curb service for persons with disabilities; use your hotel's free shuttle service; or take the Downtown Taxi (240-625-9920) to get you anywhere you want to go in the 4-state region.
