Halifax Stanfield International YHZ Airport, located 35 km from Halifax in the Province of Nova Scotia, south-east Canada, has more flights to more destinations than any other airport in Atlantic Canada. With 3 million passengers annuaaly, the airport is served by many commercial airlines, including Delta, Air Canada and WestJet, offering nonstop service to destinations throughout Canada and the U.S. The Airport is an internationally recognized leader in customer service, with first-place awards in the global Airport Service Quality program for many years.
Halifax International is in the midst of a 10-year Airport Improvement Program that includes expanding domestic and international arrivals areas and adding more ticket counters and aircraft gates. As part of the program, the airport has opened Flight Deck, a public observation area on the third floor of the airport, and Airport Square, a major expansion of retail outlets in the main lobby.
Parking options include Parkade hourly/daily parking, Exterior parking lot within walking distance of the passenger terminal, & Park'Fly on Barnes Drive, with 24/7 shuttle service. Credit card & cash payments are available.
To get from the Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi (a one-way trip to Halifax is 53 C$) or a bus.
The Airporter shuttle serves vaious metro-area hotels (902-873-2091).
The Acadian Lines serve most of Nova Scotia & the Airport (902-454-9321). For more information contact the Ground Transportation Inspector at 902-873-1410.
Various other shuttle buses operate from Halifax Airport to destinations like Sydney, Annapolis Valley, Yarmouth, Truro and Prince Edward Island, etc. Visit the Airport Visitor Information Center or call 902-873-1223.
