Quiet workplace at ATLApr 8, 201310I have 6 hours at the ATL airport and need a quiet place to set up a laptop and work. Any ideas?Brunoposted on Mon, Apr 8[ Reply ][ Like ]If you don't mind it smelling like smoke a little bit, i find the smoking lounges to be good places. They generally have few people in them and have updraft ventilation which sort of muffles the noise around you a bit. Other than that I'm not really aware of many quiet places around the ATL airport.ZAPposted on Mon, Apr 8

Walking from Center to Gate #1Feb 16, 201311Are there moving walkways? Age 80 might need aid. Is there any?AMDposted on Fri, Feb 151 person likes this post [ Like ]I suggest you contact ATL at http://www.atlanta-airport.com/Airport/ATL/contact_information.aspx (or call 404-530-6600) - The gate areas are located in Concourses T, A, B, C, D, E & F - all have a gate 1 (i.e. gate T1, E1, F1). For detailed information open www.ifly.com/atl, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.safeb13posted on Sat, Feb 16

Free Wifi?Sep 25, 201210Does Dunkin' Donuts or Arby's offer FREE Wifi in the terminal? Are there any free hotspots?QuincyABCposted on Tue, Sep 25Paid Wi-Fi is available throughout Atlantal Airport -even at the Transportation Mall under the Concourses and the Airport is its proprietor, as you will see when opening the splash page (which also allows you to access its web site). There you connect to one of these providers - Boingo, Advanced Wireless Group (AWG), AccessAnyplace, or Opti-Fi. For more information you can contact 1-877-452-9434.tusep12posted on Tue, Sep 25

Curbside baggage claim pickup?Apr 5, 201221When I drive in, how do I get down to pick up someone at the baggage claim level? I always miss it and go round and round... aargh.whichwayposted on Wed, Apr 4The best way is to use the free Cell Phone Lot with 160 spaces situated along South Terminal Parkway at east end of Park-Ride Reserve lot, accessible to the right of the parkway by a new driveway. Stay with your car until your party has collected bags and calls you to be picked up at the terminal curb.thapr12posted on Thu, Apr 51 person likes this post [ Like ]

Connecting through AtlantaJan 31, 201200HI, I am flying Toronto - Atlanta - Johannesburg in July, arriving and departing the south terminal according to my eTicket. I'm curious as to what the process is for connecting thru ATL? I hear it's very confusing. Is the baggage generally checked thru or do I need to collect my luggage, go thru security and then check back in etc? I know i have plenty of time as I have a 4 hour connection. Would it be the same coming back?DBMEposted on Tue, Jan 31

iah-atl-bacJan 21, 201210Arriviing from Houston IAH at B13 departing for Barcelona BCN at E70; what is process? Are bags checked through or do you need to claim and recheck/security? or other?wjwposted on Fri, Jan 201. You need to make sure at Houston when checking in that your airline will transfer bags to connecting flight (if by different airline). Also have your bags properly tagged for stopover the end destination. 2. Only if your original airline does not forward your bags, you need, on arrival at ATL, go down to baggage claim, get your bag and re-check it in at your departing airline's counter. 3. All concourses are connected by an automated people mover (APM) stopping the the center of each of the concourse's gates. (you arrive at B concourse and depart from E concourse. the APM makes its continuous rounds and takes minutes.PilotJoeposted on Sat, Jan 21

You will have to really sprint - (if your arriving plane is late, you are out of luck!MUCposted on Thu, Nov 17

gates to gateSep 16, 201110how do i go from gate A32 to D41 i have 40 minutes to to it can it be doneGHposted on Fri, Sep 161. Under the center of each concourse passes the APM train, which makes a continuous run between main terminal and Concourses A-E. You arrive at Concourse A to the left of the center; walk towards the center and take the train three stops to Concourse D. Concourse D is divided into 2 parts: D1-D16 and D21-D37 (according to ATL terminal map - it does not show gate D41 - look at your ticket to make sure).HH39posted on Fri, Sep 16
