  • Layover for Domestic Flights in USA (BUF-MCO)

Hi! I am coming to Buffalo Airport by car from Canada with 3 passengers (mom dad and brother) On September 1st 2015. We have a flight going to Orlando via Atlanta that will leave at 1:21 pm and arrive to ATL 3:30 pm. We will arrive into Terminal S and also depart from Terminal S at 4:55 pm. We are hoping to have 2-3 carry on cabin bags for each person and have no checked baggage. Will we have enough time to get to the gates? Do you have an idea of what we should expect or where we should go when at ATL? Thank you in ADVANCE.

  • Short time changing planes in Atlanta

I'm due to fly out of DFW to Atlanta with Delta and will have 47 minutes to find and board my flight for Amsterdam (KLM). It's in what is regular peak traffic hours in the afternoon. Kinda scared this will be to tight. Will this be enough time, and will my luggage make it with me? Opinions?

It's possible but depends on your flight from DFW being on-time. All you have to do is take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you will depart.

Tomorrow I'm flying from BRU (Belgium) to SLC (Salt Lake City) and I have to transfer at ATL. I have only 1 hour and 40 minutes. Is that enough? Do we gave to go through customs/security and get our bags? I'm flying with Delta Airlines. If not, what do I do??

Yes, you will arrive in the E/F concourse, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US customs, then re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the plane train to your departure concourse for your flight to SLC. You should barely have enough time.

  • worth do shopping nearby airport

I have ~6h layover in ATL between international flights and would like to do some shopping. There are some shops in the terminal area, but it might have interesting options outside the airport. Is there any shopping mall close to the airport that's worth checking? Thanks.

The Airport is in a fairly economically depressed portion of town. I wouldn't go anywhere near there. Perhaps you could take a taxi to a mall south of the airport, but that would be a major hassle.

coming in from Amsterdam with connecting flights to Orlando with KLM. Layover 1,48 minutes. Is this doable? thanks

Yes, that is possible. Also if you do miss your connection due to a delay. Delta has hourly flights from Atlanta to Orlando that you can be rebooked on.

  • 9 Hour Layover on a Friday!
    Jul 10, 2015

Hi, I have a flight coming in from Lima arriving at 9am on Friday, with the return flight home leaving at 5.45pm the same day to London. Being a typical tourist, would it be worth checking out downtown whilst in the city. Anything I should definitely do? it seems the MARTA is the easiest way, and most efficient time wise. Any help is much appreciated!!

Yeah, you can go walk around Centennial Olympic Park and the CNN Center. I don't recommend the World of Coke, it's an overpriced tourist trap. Also, if you get a map you can walk to Piedmont Park from the North Avenue or Midtown station. It's a very nice park (designed by the son of the guy who designed Central Park in NYC) and has a great view of the city.

i reached 7 pm at atlanta airport and next flight will be on next day 9 am morning.pse give some suggetion where to visit some tourist places during this layover..its urgent

There's not much to do that late in the evening. You can go downtown to Centennial Olympic park and see it. But other than that there's not much.

  • 50m layover

Hi, I have a redeye flight coming in from providence to ATL. Then a 50m connection to Baton Rouge. All Delta flights and I have luggage to check. Would I be able to make this?

Redeye means overnight. There are no overnight flights from Providence to Atlanta. You probably mean an early morning flight. Yes, 50 minutes is sufficient connection time for two domestic Delta flights in Atlanta. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

  • Long layover!

We have a layover at ATL that will be just over 9 hours. We will be on our way back from Cancun, be flying through to LAX then on to Australia. Being Australian citizens, are we able to leave the airport to see a bit of Atlanta? And will this be enough time even? This is our first time travelling alone! Any layover ideas would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance :)

Yes, but it will be a bit tricky once you re-check your bags for your flight to LAX after clearing customs. It will direct you to security and the plane train which connects all the concourses. Take the Plane Train all the way to the other end (the domestic baggage claim) You can then take MARTA into the city. Keep your boarding pass with you. You can re-enter security in the domestic terminal (where the MARTA terminal is) once you return to the airport. Be sure to be back at the airport 90 minutes before your flight to LAX.

  • Atlanta 30 minute layover

I am flying from norfolk Virginia to Indiana. I have a 30 minute layover in Atlanta, is that enough time to make my next flight. I am flying delta airlines.

It's barely enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security. You will barely have enough time if your flight from Norfolk is on-time.

  • Enough layover time?

I will be flying from Columbus to Atlanta and then from Atlanta to Madrid with a 52 minute layover time in Atlanta. I am flying with Delta for the whole journey. Will this be enough time to make my connecting flight?

Yes, that should be enough time. All you have to do is take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you wil depart.

  • Transfer time

Flying into ATL from Syracuse and transferring to Dominican republic.. all on Delta.. do we need to recheck bags or anything else.. is an hour enough time to go between terminals

You do not actually have to change terminals. All you have to do is take the plane train from your arrival concourse to Concourse E or F where you will depart. You have enough time.

We have a layover for just over 9 hours at ATL. We are travelling from Cancun through to LA then to Australia. Being Australian citizens will we be able to leave the airport? And is this enough time to leave the airport?

  • 2.5 hour domestic layover - enough time to meet non-passenger

My 18yo daughter is taking her first flight alone. She has to fly back to school for a missions trip. She will arrive in ATL for a little over 2.5 hours on delta. Will she have time to meet her boyfriend for 45 minutes and get to her connecting flight? Where should she meet him and does she need to go back thru security?

Where is she arriving from? She will only be able to meet him outside security.

i have a flight booked with delta..departing from norfolk with a 36 minute layover in atl and connecting flight lands in pdx...will 36 minutes be enough time for me to make it to my connecting flight?

It is barely enough time if the first flight is on-time. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate and all gates are connected inside security by the Plane Train, but there's no time to spare for any delays.
