I have a 41 minute layover flying from Fort Myers to London, my flight from RSW to ATL is with Delta, but my flight from ATL is with Virgin. Will I have to recheck my bags? Is that enough time to connect to my flight? Feels incredibly close. Thank you.

is there any way to know arr and dep gate ahead of time? flying delta

You won't know until the day of the flight, but it doesn't matter much, the Plane Train connects all gates inside security and you can get from any gate to any gate in about 15 minutes.

  • Will I have enough time? Do I have to pass security?

Hi, I'm traveling to Cartagena in Colombia from Montreal Canada with a layover in Atlanta. All flights are with Delta. Will I have to pass security again or simply take the train between gates? I have a 40min layover, will that be enough?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Montreal. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You do not have to go through security. You should have enough time.

    Thanks!

Hi, I'm flying from Dublin to LAX with a connection of 2h30m in ATL. Will I have to recheck my bags and go through security/US customs again or can I go straight to the departure gate for my next flight? I'm flying with Air France, all flights under the same reservation. Thanks.

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do is take the plane train from your arrival concourse to your departure concourse and board your flight. Both flights will be operated by Delta, so check in with Delta in Dublin, not Air France.

    Perfect, thank you!

Hi. We are flying from Nashville to Midway with Delta and have a 50mins layover before our next flight takes off. Both the flights are with Delta. Just wondering if this gives us enough time to make our 2nd flight and also if we need to check our bags again or do Delta transfer our bags for us? Thanks!

Your bags will be transferred for you. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

Ok so I have a 43 minute layover in ALT from HPN. Will that be enough to time. Do I have to recheck my bags or go to security again. I am flying to Turks and Vaicos so will I have to go through US customs. I have been told there is a Plain Train. Where is it. Any help. My tickets are on the same reservation and I am flying Delta

There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart on the Plane Train. The Plane Train runs underground in the middle of every concourse - it is very hard to miss as nearly everyone has to use it. You do not have to go through security and should have enough time if your flight from White Plains is on-time.

Hey everyone. I'll have a Delta connection from Dusseldorf( Germany) to Quito (Ecuador) via Atlanta but I am little doubtful concerning the connection at ATL. Connection time will be 2hrs. How does the transfer work at ATL? Do I have to grab my luggage and pass through immigration and customs and drop by luggage again? In this case 2hrs seems rather short to me… Or is there an other procedure for those passengers connecting from an international to an other international flight? Thanks for any help!

Yes, in Atlanta you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. You do have enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Only thing there is Chik-fil-a & Varsity. Bummer walked from B because the line was too long.

My wife accompanying my 8 months baby are arriving from ROME to WASHINGTON DC connecting in ATLANTA. She has only 2 hours and 15 minutes to clear customs and immigration (as she is not a US resident) and baggage recheck to the last leg ATL-IAD. Is the connection time enough? Is there a fast track for connecting travelers in ATL airport? I've been there twice but I don't remember seeing a fast track.

Almost all travelers on her flight are connecting - thus defeating the purpose of a fast track (if there was one, which there isn't). She should have enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • Domestic-International 67 minute layover

I will be arriving at ATL at 8:28 am from Chicago. I then have 1 hour and 7 minute layover to make my connecting flight to Honduras. Will this be enough time to make my flight? Do I have to reenter security or do anything? I'm worried I won't make my connecting international flight. All flights are through Delta.

All you have to do is take the plane train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where your flight will depart and board your flight. You have enough time. There is no US Customs when leaving the US.

I'm traveling to Orlando via Atlanta and it an 1 hour 5 minute stopover. Will I have enough time

And the same in the return flight

Yes, that is enough time. On your way to Orlando you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin and on the way back there is no US Customs when leaving the US. Both ways you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Atlanta. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

    great thanks

I booked a flight that I'm now worried about. A lot was going on and looking at tons of options so when the price hit right we bought it. Houston to ATL then a 40 min connection to make it to BRU. How long will they hold a flight if you make the first leg and they know you're in the terminal? I'd expect it long enough for the bags at least. I booked using sky scanner so not sure if that makes a difference. I'm flying on 7/20/16 departing Houston at 1:45pm and departing Atlanta at 5:40pm. Is there anyway to see what gates or terminals I'll be arriving and departing from in Atlanta?

They will not hold the flight. You will arrive in concourse A, B, or C and depart from concourse E or F (likely F). The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security. This is possible if the flight from Houston is on-time or preferably, early.

  • 55 min connection time

I am looking at a flight on Delta that gives only 55 minuets to connect to another Delta flight, both domestic flights, upstate NY to Atlanta, on to NC. Is this realistic?

Yes if if your first flight is on time or early. Just walk from Your Arrival gate to your departure gate. If everything is on the same reservation you should be fine.

Thank you! I have been through Atlanta twice before and needed the train, hoping that both gates are in easy walking distance..

You may need the train, but I'm not sure. Are you on Delta or Delta Express or both?

You will likely have to change concourses using the Plane Train. 55 Minutes should be enough time if the first flight is on-time.
