Teenagers Flying AloneJun 17, 201330My daughter and her friend are flying solo for the first time tomorrow. Their flight arrives at ATL gate C7 and connects at D11. What's the simplest way to advise them to travel between gates that can be done in the 45 minute window they have between flights? Thank you, A worried momREGINAROSEposted on Mon, Jun 17They just take the Plane Train 1 stop from C to D. It's very simple and can be done in that time. Their gates may change before tomorrow, so they should be prepared for that, but the process is still the same, take the plane train between concourses.ZAPposted on Mon, Jun 17My fear is that they will find that confusing or miss their stop. Would it be possible for them to just walk between concourses?reginaroseposted on Mon, Jun 17

Terminal S to International TerminalMay 27, 201310My flight from West Palm Beach, FL gets into Terminal S at 4:50 pm and I leave for Madird from the international terminal at 5:50 - how do I get to the international terminal? how long should it take? will I have to go through customs etc. again?NLehmanposted on Mon, May 27You will not arrive in "Terminal S" you will arrive in one of several domestic concourses. You will then just take the plane train from your arrival concourse to Concourse F for your international flight. There will be no customs or security in the international terminal. You'll go through immigration in Madrid.ZAPposted on Mon, May 27

Intl conx time at ATL F to domesticMay 21, 201320I am returning from Jamaica to Houston with a connection at Atlanta where we will clear US Customs. We only have an hour and 15 minutes due to a schedule change. Is this enough time to get through and make a connection? All on Delta. But there is a much later connection but 4 hour conx if we change to this.Terriposted on Mon, May 20Honestly, it's probably not enough time. I'd request the later flight (which you can get changed to for free due to the schedule change). However, if you stick with your original connection, you can try to make it, then get put on that later flight if you miss it. The risk being if the later flight is full you'll get stuck in Atlanta.ZAPposted on Tue, May 21

CLEAR CUSTOMS, CLAIM BAGGAGE, ETC.May 17, 201320HI YOU ALL, I`M FLYING SUNDAY MAY 19 FROM PANAMA, ARRIVING AT THE INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL, I SUPPOSE, AND CONNECTING TO MONTREAL. I HAVE 1:21 BETWEEN ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TO GO THRU CUSTOMS, CLAIM BAGGAGE, HAND IT OVER FOR CONNECTION. NOT SURE IF I HAVE TO PASS SECURITY CHECK TO TAKE THE OTHER FLIGHT AND IF I WILL HAVE TIME ENOUGH. WHAT DO YOU THINK?JFVposted on Thu, May 16ADDITIONAL INFO: FLYING DELTA ON BOTH LEGS. ARRIVAL TIME IS 1:24 P.M.JFVposted on Thu, May 16Your transfer time at ATL will suffice. After debarkation, passengers walk the corridor towards the escalators taking them to the Arrivals level, where they go through customs & Immigration, then proceed to the baggage claim area which has 7 carousels. (a) Connecting passengers recheck-in their bags by proceeding to the transit area past baggage claim and turning left to baggage recheck counters, then follow signs to Concourse F Plane Train station, which connects all concourses (with gates E, D, C, B, A & T).frmay13posted on Fri, May 17

non-english speakersMay 8, 201340Hi! My parents are flying next week from Warsaw-Paris-Atlanta-Wichita. They have to go through immigration check in Atlanta and then get somehow to domestic terminal. Could someone give me a brief description of what should they look for in terms of directions? They do not speak english and I am afraid they are going to get lost. How do they get to the "Plane Train" ? Any information or maps would be very helpful!karolinaposted on Wed, May 8I should mention that they are flying Air France to Atlanta and arriving at Terminal I , they have about 2 hrs to get through immigration, their connecting flight is operated by Delta Air Lines and departs from Terminal S. I bought tickets about a month ago so I am not sure if the flight from Atlanta to Wichita will still be from the Terminal S?karolinaposted on Wed, May 8They will go through immigration in the International terminal. Then they just have to re-check their bags with Delta in that terminal, go through security there, and take the Plane Train to the concourse for their Wichita flight. They don't have to actually go to the main Domestic terminal - they can go straight to their concourse.ZAPposted on Wed, May 8Where is the Plane Train located? Do they have to take stairs upstairs downstairs? Are there hanging signs "Plane Train"?karolinaposted on Wed, May 8

I arrive at Atlanta terminal S at 847pm and depart terminal S at 10pm. How do I know which concourse, it's not on my itinerary? Also.. Any other tips would be great.Jayposted on Fri, Apr 26You can get the concourses from Delta.com the day of your flight. Domestic South To International TerminalMay 10, 201340we will have 1 hr and 5 min to go from Domestic south terminal Delta Airline to International Terminal. Is it enough time? Which is the shortest way? We will arrive in ATL at 9:00am. This is our first time using ATL airport. Thanks!!TravelerBbposted on Tue, Apr 16Your domestic flight will arrive at one of the lettered concourses, not the south terminal. You just have to take the plane train from the concourse you come in to to concourse E where your international flight will depart from.ZAPposted on Wed, Apr 17I saw on ATL website. They have terminal F for international. Since we have really short connection time for international flight, we want to plan ahead. Please advice.TravelerBbposted on Wed, Apr 17

E6 to A21- 1 hour 10 min?Apr 12, 201320I arrive on an international flight 6:20 PM @ gate E6 with only 1hour 15 min to clear customs and get to terminal A21. I am debating whether to fly with only a carry on or to check a bag in. How much more time does claim and rechecking your bag add? Would love to bring home some rum but not at the risk of missing my flight.GSLposted on Fri, Apr 12Not checking a bag will certainly make things faster. However, if you're going somewhere where delta has a lot of flights you it might be worth risking. Also, while your international flight will arrive at E, there's no way to know your next flight will depart from A unless your flight is today or tomorrow (and even then it may change).ZAPposted on Fri, Apr 12Thanks ZAP. Yes I'm not flying back until next week but I have looked at yesterday, today and tomorrows gates and they have been consistent. I flying from Santo Domingo to Los Angeles there is one more flight to LA after mine. How long on average these days does it take to clear customs mid week? Has the sequester made any difference?GSLposted on Fri, Apr 12
