Well, from the times you posted, she has 60 minutes, not 15. She can take the PlaneTrain from the concourse she will arrive in (likely A, B or C, but possibly T or D) to concourse E. It can be done in less than 20 minutes.

They just take the Plane Train 1 stop from C to D. It's very simple and can be done in that time. Their gates may change before tomorrow, so they should be prepared for that, but the process is still the same, take the plane train between concourses.

My fear is that they will find that confusing or miss their stop. Would it be possible for them to just walk between concourses?

There's a walkway through the same tunnel that the train goes through. However, I think you really underestimate your daughter. It's a very simple system.

You will not arrive in "Terminal S" you will arrive in one of several domestic concourses. You will then just take the plane train from your arrival concourse to Concourse F for your international flight. There will be no customs or security in the international terminal. You'll go through immigration in Madrid.

Does the "planetrain" go all the way from T to Concourse F?

Yes, the plane train goes to every concourse, T to F. Since PBI is domestic, get dropped off at the Domestic terminal.

Honestly, it's probably not enough time. I'd request the later flight (which you can get changed to for free due to the schedule change). However, if you stick with your original connection, you can try to make it, then get put on that later flight if you miss it. The risk being if the later flight is full you'll get stuck in Atlanta.

Your transfer time at ATL will suffice. After debarkation, passengers walk the corridor towards the escalators taking them to the Arrivals level, where they go through customs & Immigration, then proceed to the baggage claim area which has 7 carousels. (a) Connecting passengers recheck-in their bags by proceeding to the transit area past baggage claim and turning left to baggage recheck counters, then follow signs to Concourse F Plane Train station, which connects all concourses (with gates E, D, C, B, A & T).

If your first flight is on-time and you hurry it should barely be enough time. You take the plane train almost its entire length. I wouldn't re-book as long as there are later flights to your destination that day out of ATL.

You take the plane train between concourses. It should take 15-20 minutes to get between those two gates.

I should mention that they are flying Air France to Atlanta and arriving at Terminal I , they have about 2 hrs to get through immigration, their connecting flight is operated by Delta Air Lines and departs from Terminal S. I bought tickets about a month ago so I am not sure if the flight from Atlanta to Wichita will still be from the Terminal S?

They will go through immigration in the International terminal. Then they just have to re-check their bags with Delta in that terminal, go through security there, and take the Plane Train to the concourse for their Wichita flight. They don't have to actually go to the main Domestic terminal - they can go straight to their concourse.

Where is the Plane Train located? Do they have to take stairs upstairs downstairs? Are there hanging signs "Plane Train"?

The plane train runs underground between all the concourses. It's fairly obvious. They will likely go downstairs at their arriving gate in order to go through immigration.

You can get the concourses from Delta.com the day of your flight. All the concourses at ATL are connected by the plane train and it's a very simple connection procedure.

Can you be more specific about where you're connecting and what airline(s) you are flying?

Your domestic flight will arrive at one of the lettered concourses, not the south terminal. You just have to take the plane train from the concourse you come in to to concourse E where your international flight will depart from.

I saw on ATL website. They have terminal F for international. Since we have really short connection time for international flight, we want to plan ahead. Please advice.

Delta uses both E and F for international flights.

I am coming in to ATL from Nassau on 5/27 at 7:30 pm and connecting to a flight to CLT at 8:50 - is this a problem with my connection time?

Not checking a bag will certainly make things faster. However, if you're going somewhere where delta has a lot of flights you it might be worth risking. Also, while your international flight will arrive at E, there's no way to know your next flight will depart from A unless your flight is today or tomorrow (and even then it may change).

Thanks ZAP. Yes I'm not flying back until next week but I have looked at yesterday, today and tomorrows gates and they have been consistent. I flying from Santo Domingo to Los Angeles there is one more flight to LA after mine. How long on average these days does it take to clear customs mid week? Has the sequester made any difference?
